A nice Hot cup of Coffee

I have a single cup coffee maker that I have been using every day. I received the Ninja coffee maker and remembered what it was like to have a fresh hot cup of coffee in the morning. The first sip was the real test, and it passed with flying colors, the coffee was so hot that I thought I was going to burn my tongue. Hot is not a bad thing, I am used to drinking warm coffee out of the single coffee maker and pouring half of it out from getting cold. The Ninja Brewer was just right. It was hot from the first cup and stayed hot. There is a handy scoop that is attached so you do not have to worry about what size scoop to use. I have been using the classic setting with one scoop per cup of water and it makes a nice strong cup of coffee. There is even a rich brew cycle if you really want a strong cup of Coffee. It has a pleasing design, a classic look, but with a modern feel. I was a little skeptical about the plastic parts leaving a bad taste but have not noticed anything. I have had that problem in the past with other coffee makers. It does have a delay brew cycle which is a nice feature, especially over the single cup makers. Waking up to the smell of fresh coffee is an amazing thing. I forgot what it was like and have been really enjoying it. Can’t wait for winter.

    Water reservoir misleading

I was looking for a coffee pot with a water reservoir. This coffee pot has one, However, it must be filled with EACH use. You fill the reservoir with the amount of coffee you plan to make. If you fill with more water than you need, it still uses all the water. So you cant fill it with 12 cups and plan to make three small 4 cup pots before refilling. Not at all what I wanted, and not explained well on the box.

So far so good. Made a great cup of coffee today. The small batch option is useful. Footprint on my counter is larger than my last coffe maker. It is a little fussy to use but has many good features including warming options and self cleaning.

I got last years model of this and loved it so much for my home, I got this one for our cabin. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and makes a great tasting cup of coffee every time. You can even set a time for it to brew. I chucked my single serve plastic tasting coffee machine in favor of two of these. I like simple and this coffee maker is that. Simple great tasting coffee from a reliable company.

Product was broken inside the packaging. Returning after curbside pickup was a hassle. For some reason I had to stand around the store for a while until the system would allow the return. What was suppose to be a quick pick up ended up taking over 2 hours between having to return to the store and then waiting for the return to be processed.

    Great Coffee Maker

The Ninja 12 cup coffee maker is a must have for every home and office. It is a great alternative to a "pod" type machine which tends to be very wasteful and expensive to use. The Ninja allows you to use any type of ground coffee and is easy to assemble and operate. You simply fill up the removable water reservoir with the amount of water needed for the desired number of cups of coffee you want to make, add approximately 1 scoop of ground coffee per cup with the included scoop, and select the brew type. You can select from small (1 to 4 cups), classic, and rich. I especially enjoyed the delayed brew function so I can have coffee ready as I am walking out the door in the early morning. Lastly, it has flavor enhancing technology. The machine uses a large "shower head" to evenly soak the coffee prior to brewing which is supposed to enhance the flavor. When comparing it to other drip style machines I have used, I think the Ninja has a more deep and rich flavor. Depending on the type of coffee you are brewing you can really taste some of the undertones. Pros: *Affordable price and easy to operate *Nice stainless steel finish and feels well made *Included scoop and easy to remove water reservoir *Deep rich tasting coffee and the ability to brew up to 12 cups at a time Cons: *Requires "more" maintenance than a pod style machine *Slightly bulky Overall, I think this a great machine and cannot recommend it enough.

    A nice looking coffee maker

First thing I should specify is that this is your average pretty basic coffee maker with a few pluses. I will say that it makes a nice cup of coffee.. I like strong coffee, so I usually end up putting in more beans to make it stronger.. this adds some bitterness but i tend to make that sacrifice. The most impressive thing about this device is the 'rich' setting. That got the coffee to the strength i like without the extra beans or bitterness. Next, I like that it is simple to use. I had a different coffee maker before this one that whenever we had guests I had to run them through how to make themselves a cup of coffee if they got up early and wanted one. Not so with this one... pretty self explanatory. Also, I like that the measuring spoon has a home, those measuring devices would get lost after about 3 min from getting a new coffee pot. This one has has a nice little home... Not the biggest issue in the world but still nice. Lastly, I will bring up the reusable coffee filter, I've always felt a little guilty using pod to make coffee, this guy doesn't even need filters let alone pods... from a waste reduction standpoint this device is a much better alternative. The cons for this device can be explained away with the the fact that this is a basic coffee maker. There isn't a cup that you can brew straight into, though it does have the no drip setting so fill up your cup early isn't an issue; and the reservoir for water needs to be filled each time (my wife likes this as there isn't standing water anymore). One neutral comment that I have is that while the reservoir is detachable the coffee grinds still go in the top. For a minuite I though i wouldn't have to slide the coffee maker in and out from under the counter since I didn't need to poor water from the pot into the reservoir. But I quickly realized that the top doesn't open far enough to allow the filter out. Overall I think that this is a great basic coffee maker. Pros: -Makes a good cup of coffee -reusable filter -ability to stop the brew and poor yourself a cup of coffee -delayed brew setting -Nice looking -Easy to use -home for measuring spoon Cons: -reservoir needs to be filled each time and is based on the number of servings you want to make. -No cups designed to put the small batch straight into. If your looking for a basic coffee maker that makes a better than average cup of coffee I can easily recommend this.

Worked fine for 18 months then suddenly decide to quit working. First it. Wouldn’t power off. Luckily I was home and noticed. When I plugged it in the following day the only functioning keys were for the clock. Would not recommend buying this. My last coffee brewer was a cuisinart that lasted 10 years.

Based on the reviews I was convinced to try a glass carafe. I should have stuck to my gut. After 2 pots, 2 different days, the coffee tasted burnt with the stay warm feature. I'm going back to the old brand, with a thermal carafe. It was worth the try.

Absolutely a must have to simplify coffee lovers day!! I set the timer for my coffee to brew in the morning during the time my kids are getting ready for school. Knowing I can select 2 different strengths, it's pretty easy to clean & comes with the scoop to measure the coffee per cup easily attached makes this a very convenient to use coffee maker.
