A nice looking coffee maker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing I should specify is that this is your average pretty basic coffee maker with a few pluses. I will say that it makes a nice cup of coffee.. I like strong coffee, so I usually end up putting in more beans to make it stronger.. this adds some bitterness but i tend to make that sacrifice. The most impressive thing about this device is the 'rich' setting. That got the coffee to the strength i like without the extra beans or bitterness. Next, I like that it is simple to use. I had a different coffee maker before this one that whenever we had guests I had to run them through how to make themselves a cup of coffee if they got up early and wanted one. Not so with this one... pretty self explanatory. Also, I like that the measuring spoon has a home, those measuring devices would get lost after about 3 min from getting a new coffee pot. This one has has a nice little home... Not the biggest issue in the world but still nice. Lastly, I will bring up the reusable coffee filter, I've always felt a little guilty using pod to make coffee, this guy doesn't even need filters let alone pods... from a waste reduction standpoint this device is a much better alternative. The cons for this device can be explained away with the the fact that this is a basic coffee maker. There isn't a cup that you can brew straight into, though it does have the no drip setting so fill up your cup early isn't an issue; and the reservoir for water needs to be filled each time (my wife likes this as there isn't standing water anymore). One neutral comment that I have is that while the reservoir is detachable the coffee grinds still go in the top. For a minuite I though i wouldn't have to slide the coffee maker in and out from under the counter since I didn't need to poor water from the pot into the reservoir. But I quickly realized that the top doesn't open far enough to allow the filter out. Overall I think that this is a great basic coffee maker. Pros: -Makes a good cup of coffee -reusable filter -ability to stop the brew and poor yourself a cup of coffee -delayed brew setting -Nice looking -Easy to use -home for measuring spoon Cons: -reservoir needs to be filled each time and is based on the number of servings you want to make. -No cups designed to put the small batch straight into. If your looking for a basic coffee maker that makes a better than average cup of coffee I can easily recommend this.

so so, burnt taste
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Based on the reviews I was convinced to try a glass carafe. I should have stuck to my gut. After 2 pots, 2 different days, the coffee tasted burnt with the stay warm feature. I'm going back to the old brand, with a thermal carafe. It was worth the try.

Absolutely love this coffee maker so much
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely a must have to simplify coffee lovers day!! I set the timer for my coffee to brew in the morning during the time my kids are getting ready for school. Knowing I can select 2 different strengths, it's pretty easy to clean & comes with the scoop to measure the coffee per cup easily attached makes this a very convenient to use coffee maker.

Died after 9 Months
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it worked I absolutely loved this coffee maker and have had great luck with the Ninja brand in the past. I don’t even use it every day but today I noticed the coffee maker has no power - it’s completely dead - and it’s only 9 months old. Yes the outlet is working. I’m really disappointed!

Great cup of coffee
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja coffee maker makes a great cup of hot coffee. It lets you customize the strength of the coffee between classic and rich. It preheats the grounds to prepare them to release their full flavor and the water heats up fast. A full carafe took about 10 minutes to complete and thanks to the adjustable warming plate, it can stay heated for up to 4 hours instead of the standard 2. The removable water reservoir is very convenient as you can remove it from the coffeemaker, take it to the sink to fill with water and then place back on the coffeemaker. Also makes cleaning it very easy. The carafe has a nice secure locking lid. This coffeemaker also has the auto-pause feature when removing the carafe so I can grab that first cup to enjoy while the rest finishes brewing. It is programable to have your coffee ready when you get up or any other time you prefer. Ninja has made another great coffeemaker. If you can't get the Ninja coffee bar system, which is my personal favorite and I highly recommend, then this is a very nice alternative

Solid.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have another Ninja coffeemaker (The hot & cold maker w/ insulated carafe) and have absolutely loved it. This is a perfect compliment for that one to use when traveling or for guests to have in their room when staying over. It's simple and dead easy to use. There are some key differences between the more expensive machine, so if you're coming from that one be careful. This one will use however much water you put in the reservoir, so make sure you fill it according to your needs (and the line markers on the carafe don't necessarily coordinate to the number of cups you'll make). The scoop included with this also only provides one measurement as opposed to two with the more expensive upgrade. But at the end of the day, it makes good coffee, it's easy to use, it's easy to clean, and I trust this brand to be reliable and last. If that suits your needs then it's an easy purchase. If you're looking to do more, the hot and cold maker is a really awesome alternative for $100 more.

||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It lasted 4 months to the day. What a total waste of money. I really liked the way the machine worked, it made pretty decent coffee. But 4 months in and completely dead.

Good Coffee. A bit slow.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja Coffee Maker I have been using a Kurig for the past few years and I am not a coffee snob. I am as simple as instant coffee, though I can appreciate a good cup of coffee. The Ninja is a nice unit and seems to be well built. Simple to setup and use. Got everything up and running without opening the manual. I like that metal filter is reusable and I don't have to buy disposables. BUT I have to empty and clean that filter. If I want to have a cup of coffee ready for me in the AM as I'm running out the door, I set the timer and have everything ready to pour by the time I get to the kitchen. But then I either have to dump the grinds and leave the filter in the sink to soak OR I end up leaving the wet grinds in the machine all day until I get home in the evening. Since you can still use paper filters in lieu of the metal filter that kinda negates the above benefit. The Ninja is a bit slow to get a full pot ready. I believe that is party due to the soaking procedure for the grinds and the showerhead drip which seems like a good idea to get water across the the majority of the grinds. Then it gets poured into a spout into the pot. It does seem to take a bit more time. Not a problem when I am using the timer function but if I'm making a pot during the day it gets annoying to wait on it. Overall, the coffee this machine brews tastes great and it has replaced my Kurig.

Don't be fooled by the "reservoir"
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw "reservoir", and I thought, "great. I can fill it up once a week and use it a little at a time. But it doesn't work that way. Everything you put in is immediately used. Not a "reservoir" at all. Just a water receptacle.

Not worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this coffeemaker exactly one year ago and up until today- I have been very pleased with it. It is only used once a day to make a small pot of coffee. It sits on a counter and is not moved around. Unfortunately today it would no longer work due to the "brew" button being broken. Other cycles will operate but not the brew cycle. It's a simple button that is pushed and there is absolutely no reason for it to break. Ninja will replace the unit but I had to pay $20 in shipping. Terrible quality - definitely not worth the price. I will not purchase this brand again.

Not built to last
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a decent coffee maker; nothing crazy. Did like how you could set the "keep warm" time to a 15 minute minimum so as not to burn off the coffee. However, the display started going dim with some of the numbers missing. Then, today, a number of the buttons no longer work including the "Brew" button so now it's a throw away since the warranty is over. For $80 (now $100), not worth it. Not about to buy another Ninja product soon.

Yucky Coffee
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this coffee maker for a while and the coffee is horrible. I use the same grounds I've always used but they have no taste. I've tried everything I can think of but this pot just stinks.

||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't buy! In the process of starting a manufacturing warranty claim with Ninja. The clock time led pad is not showing us the time and is defective for the price of this unit I am certainly disappointed with the quality of Ninja and will not be purchasing any more products from Ninja moving forward

Love this coffee maker!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I highly recommend this coffee maker to anyone looking to upgrade or purchased a coffee maker for their home. My favorite feature is the option to set up the coffee maker to start brewing while you are getting ready for work. It's super easy to set up and it makes the perfect cup of coffee so you can just grab it and be on your way. Pros: -Ninja is known for its durability and quality, and this coffee maker checks the boxes. -No more paper filters -Easy to clean -Options to brew small amounts and big amounts Cons: -The size is a little big, but still looks good in the kitchen
