Customers value the excellent coffee quality and ease of use of the Coffee Bar Brewer with Thermal Carafe. Many appreciate the machine's attractive design and the improved coffee flavor it produces. However, some customers note the lack of a keep-warm function and find the price to be a drawback. The absence of a warming plate is a point of contention for some, while others feel the cost is too high for the features offered.

This is very versatile and stylish. I especially like the fact that you can brew a whole carafe or just a cup.

Too Much, Too Little

My first concern was the size of the carafe. I filled it, emptied it into my Cuisinart carafe and it only measured nine cups. No timer, just a delayed brew. With no heater under the carafe that would mean the coffee is cooling in the carafe until I get my first cup. Steam rolls out the top vents which means I wouldn't be comfortable sitting under cabinets. After all that I decided it wasn't worth keeping and took it back.

Poor Quality and Best Buy Service

I purchased the Ninja with Thermal Carafe when the item was on deal. I had it shipped to a local store for pickup. I took the item home and when I opened the package there was moisture in the box and in the water reservoir and promptly returned it to the store. The unit was not sold in my local store and I asked the store associate to return the damaged one so i could reorder the same unit for in store pick up. The store associate attempted to reorder the item, however it seems that since the item was not sold in that store they could not order it for me. I would have to order it again online, however I would then have to pay the full price. I sent an email into the Best Buy help line expecting more than a computer generated response from the company. I repeatedly requested to be contacted about this matter after sending in several emails. Moving forward I will not order anything online for in store pick up, since their policy doesn't allow the store associates to make an even exchange if the item is not sold in the local store. I have ordered items from their online competitor and never had this much of an issue. Very poor service.

This makes how ever much coffee you want at whatever strength, using your own coffee, so no waste of k cups. I've had it for over a year now and it has not disappointed at all. I make Caramel Machiatos on a regular basis and save a lot of money.

Love the coffee maker. Coffee is much more pleasant and does not have a burnt taste or sour taste. I love the fact that I can make one cup of coffee later in the day.

No Measurement

I have tried to make 6-cups of coffee from this machine since I got it. However there are no markings anywhere to indicate water level for 6-cups. I've tried experimenting with different water levels, settings and coffee scoops only to find none worked right and the coffee did not taste good at all. Spoke with NINJA reps on their chat line and even called Customer Support only to find that they didn't know and could not help me. They suggested I brew singular cups for my 6 cups...absurd

Should have lasted longer than 35 months

I bought this on 11/29/2017, and after 2 years and 11 months the clean light was stuck on. I ran 4 1-hour clean cycles and it stayed on, so I took it to the local earth-friendly recycling center and ordered a slightly different model, the cf-111, which has the built-in frother attachment. Hopefully it lasts longer than this one, but who knows, they are all built cheaply

Great coffee, bad wiring

Buyer beware - if flashing lights don't bother you, this machine makes great coffee. I love all the different options in brewing coffee. That's the ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1.
After having this coffee maker less than 6 months, I've had to call customer service 2 times. The clean light stays on even after doing a short AND a long clean cycle. Now, not only does the clean light stay on after about 36 hours of going through multiple cleaning cycles, but now the machine is flashing the clean light and the display no longer says the time but flashes Cln (for clean). When I talked to customer service, all they said is they could send me a new one because it's a known wiring problem and they would charge me $20 shipping. I think a coffee machine, especially one I paid so much for, should last more than 6 months. I also should not have to pay for shipping, but especially not 2-4 times what other companies charge for shipping.

Just got at Christmas and have hardly used. The clean light has already come on. We have followed the instructions on the website and the light will not go off after cleaning. We made under ten pots of coffee! Look on the Ninja Coffee Bar facebook page and read the comment on any picture and you will see this is a common, well-known problem. Take it back while you can, we are taking our back!.Too bad because it does make good coffee!

I was not satisfied with the coffee out of my Kuerig. I researched heavily single cup options. The Ninja seems like a great option in that you can do single cup and also a pot of coffee. Also, I like strong coffee and you can choose the strength of your coffee. When it arrived I did everything it said to do in the instructions to prepare for the first cup...clean cycle with cleaning solution, etc. I also followed up with multiple clean cycles of just water. The first cup had an odd flavor...and I buy good coffee, not the cheap stuff. This continued but seemed to dissipate some in time. I made no more than 10 cups of coffee before the clean cycle light came on. I ran another clean cycle with a cleaning solution. The light was still on. I ran a second cycle with cleaning solution and the light was still on. I called Ninja...that was fun. First, the person barely spoke English. Second, he offered to send me a replacement for free...except I have to pay shipping...federal express. Keep in mind the unit is about 30 days old. He then told me it would be cheaper to try and exchange where I bought it. So, in summary, the coffee has a funny taste, the clean cycle light will not go off, the call center barely speaks English and you have to pay shipping on a replacement.

We used to have a Kuerig K-cup and my wife wanted something that would make a full pot for when we had company and make single cups as well since I travel for work weekly and she is often the only person at home on weekdays. The Ninja sounded good on the surface since it had four settings which are mug, travel size, half-pot and full-pot.
Well, when we make a travel size cup, it requires 3 tablespoons of our favorite coffee versus our old Kuerig only required two when we used the “use your own coffee” option on the K-cup. On weekends when we use the full pot option, it NEVER makes the same amount twice!!! Sometimes it empties the reservoir and sometimes it does not. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It makes no difference if we have recently cleaned the brewing system or not. I hate this machine! With a “full pot” you would think that two people could get two cups each? NOT!!!
