All my recipes for ice cream turned it creamy they gave the re spin button to get to the texture that is perfect for you. Comes with a recipe booklet but honestly you can create your own. I anticipate this machine will be in my possession and family for years. Something I’ll probably wind up passing down.

If you like frozen treats, this is a must have. Easy to use and clean. You can make frozen goodies in flavors not available at the store. You can make the chunks of fruit much larger than available ready made.

Great product and great ice cream. I use it a lot and with different flavors and its marvelous for my family.

More cumbersome them I thought even after reading reviews. I knew about the 24 hour freeze ingredients before purchasing but I'm practice that's hard to do. If I want dessert for the next days meal, I can't do that the night before because that would quite be 24 hours before I need it. I also find it a little intimidating to improvise or veer from the recipes. I've made the recipe exactly as they said but it didn't yield the same amount so the container isn't all the way to the full line. This didn't create a problem but the machine can't sense where the level is, so it was spinning before reaching the contents. It does take a long time to run and the finish product for me was too soft, wouldn't hold in a scoop. My family liked it any way. So I'm still undecided, it's ok but I haven't used it as much as I thought. I was hoping for once a week special dessert night, but that's only happened 2 out of 8 weeks.

I am really enjoying the Ninja ice cream maker. My husband loves ice cream. He really likes tropical flavors. They are hard to find. The Ninja easily makes the tropical ice cream with either canned or frozen fruit.

I like the size of the containers compared to the older model. When this machine works, it works very well and is easy to use. Unfortunately, we have had many issues with this model. Before each use we have to unplug and replug the power cord. We have also had issues getting the machine to install the container. It does not recognize the base and flashes “install”. We watched videos of others having the same issues and used their troubleshooting recommendations which worked for a while. We also used the videos from the manufacturer website. The machine now only flashes install and will not work. This was the second machine we had. The first I returned after one week because of the power cord issue. I finally excepted that we would just need to unplug and replug the machine every time we use it. If I purchase another, I will stick to the original non XL version. Though we really liked the larger container.
