A Frozen Treat Maker That Does the Job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE GOOD The Ninja Creami Deluxe machine makes ice cream products and frozen drinks. The finished product was very good and creamy. The steps that it takes to get there were simple enough except for the 24 hour freeze time. You really have to plan what you want to make ahead of time. It was helpful that it came with 2 pint containers so you could have one ready to freeze while making the other. The pint containers have lids for storage also. The recipes provided in the booklet worked well and the ingredients were for the most part something I had on hand. The NOT-SO-GOOD I thought the machine was very noisy. I had to scrape the side of the pint container and respin for many of the recipes I tried. I didn’t notice any difference in the milkshake made with this product from the ones I make in my Ninja blender. FINAL THOUGHTS I would recommend this product for a small family or someone who loves frozen drinks. The frozen coffee drinks were a big hit as well as the slushi. It is very easy to use. I gave it 3 stars because of the noise and 24 hour freeze time.

Good but could use some improvements
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live the fact that I can make my own flavors and style of ice cream how you want it and when I want it. The 3 things I do not like are: 1- you have to make everything in 12-24 hr advance! 2- everything needs to be spun multiple times to get to the consistency needed. 3- If you do not eat it all in one sitting and you re-freeze it, you need to respin it again before you eat it (unless I am doing something wrong)!

Yes It Works, Yes It’s Awesome
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve owned a lot of Ninja products over the years and we use a couple almost every day, but I don’t think I’ve been more delighted with any of them like I am with their new ice cream maker. The best description I can give for it is that it’s basically a consumer-grade Pacojet that doesn’t cost $6000. It does pretty much all the work for you and once you’ve frozen your ingredients you can have ice cream or some other variety of frozen treat in 2 minutes with perfect consistency and my wife has already convinced 4 people to buy this thing In the box there’s the machine and 2 pint containers. Everything assembles and locks in in an intuitive way and everything is dishwasher safe, which is awesome and makes cleaning and maintaining it really simple. In terms of overall footprint I’d compare the size to a coffee machine. Most of the parts are plastic, but they feel pretty durable and have so far stood up very well to a week or so of use. The basic gist of operation is that you take your ingredients, freeze them for 24 hours, then run them through the machine at the appropriate setting. So far we’ve made: Brown Sugar Cinnamon Gelato (mixed in Cinnamon Toast Crunch) Sorbet out of canned pineapple (essentially Dole Whip) Chocolate Oat Milk Ice Cream The machine takes about 2-4 minutes, depending on what you are making. It’s quite loud while it’s running, but no louder than something like a blender. One thing that we’ve learned from using the Creami is that our freezer runs a bit colder than what the machine calls for, so if that is the case for you I’d recommend leaving your container out for a few minutes before running them to soften them up a bit. Still, if the consistency was off a re-spin usually got it to the right place for us. The whole process is so much easier and simpler than the giant ice cream machine we’ve had for years and hardly ever used. Overall we’re really pleased with the Ninja Creami. An ice cream maker seems like a silly thing to own and I always felt that way about the one we had before, but this one really does work and it's actually something we can use on a regular basis. I guess whether or not it’s worth it to you will depend on how much you like ice cream, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Good Investment; You won't be disappointed!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best product I have purchased in a while. I have been trying to lose weight, but can't let go of desserts. If anyone can relate, you will love what you can do with the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 11-in-1 Ice Cream Maker. I found several videos on social media showing how you can make healthy ice cream and lose weight. After seeing those videos, I was in. I decided to go with the 11 function so I could do more with it. So far, I have only used the Light Ice Cream and Mix-In function. I plan to use all of them eventually. To clarify, as I wasn't sure, but you use the Light Ice Cream function when using low sugar, low fat or sugar alteratives because they tend to freeze differently so the machine blade shaves down the ice cream at a different speed than it would regular milk and sugar due to thickness. With that said, I have made ice cream using protein shakes (Core Power 26g or 42g), a scoop of protein powder, fat free/sugar free pudding mix, and some collegen peptides, but no added sugars and it comes out tasting great; no sugar is actually needed or it would be too sweet. The recipe actually comes out to be around 62g protein, and 23g carbs; and that's if you eat the entire 24oz pint, which is difficult because it comes out dense. It has taken me and my husband several sittings to eat one 24oz pint. I have used chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and strawberry/banana protein shakes and it tastes so good. I have added honey graham crackers as mix-in for some added excitement. With using the cheesecake favored pudding mix, this ends up tasting like strawberry/banana cheescake. The machine is not hard to put together or take apart and it's very easy to clean. Although my husband gave me a hard time about getting the machine (thinking it was just another gadget), he loves the ice cream and is now hooked. If you're looking for another way to eat your desserts healthier, this is a win, win and you won't be disappointed. This machine does scoopable treats like, ice cream, sorbet, gelato and drinkable treats like shakes, frozen yogurt, slushi, creamiccino, italian ice. You can add all types of mix-ins for the scoopable ice cream, such as chocolates, nuts, fruits, candies, etc.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had really creamy ice cream and sorbet out of this. The recipes are very easy to follow and easy to make. The only draw back is the 24 hour prep time, but it's worth it when it comes out nice and smooth.

Great machine, worth the money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this machine out of pocket. Can report its a well made machine. So far i have used the Ice Cream, Slushy and Milk Shake modes. Everything has worked as advertised. The parts and components feels of good quality. I would would recommend to family and friends to purchase. The receipe book included is also nice and the receipes are actually tasty. If there was 1 critique it would be that the machine is a bit loud but nothing that would stop me from purchasing. The only official issue i had was during my first use i kept getting the error of the Install light blinking. For some reason it wouldnt sense that i did place the pitcher in the necessary slot correctly. But after a little playing with it i got it to start working.

Noisy little gem
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We use this for protein shakes and ice cream; sorbets; fruit smoothies, and slushies. It works great for easy healthy snacks. You do have to plan ahead and prep containers. The only thing that might bother some is the noise. It is very loud. It's not a deal breaker for me.

Ease of use and quality outcome
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so impressed by the quality of the outcome for how little effort it takes to make. Is it the best ice cream? No. But is it delicious and good? Yes. Easy to use? Yes. Easy to clean? Yes. I was so blown away by the easy process to make whatever type of ice cream with whatever ingredients that i use this machine so often and recommend it to my family and friends already.

Innovative Concept and Design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Creami is a very cool gadget, very innovative and fun way to make your own ice cream. The device itself has a very quality feel to it , like all ninja products. The setup is very simple, all you need to do it put the blade on the mixing cup each time you are going to mix/shave the frozen base ice cream. The easy setup and simple steps needed to use the device encourage you to use often as it is so easy. The clean up is very easy, wash a blade and the cups/lid. The only drawback is of no fault ninja's, the setup and concept is nice but the ice cream that can be made from shaving a frozen base is very limited. Don't get me wrong it will make a decent ice cream substitute and i am fine with that because i know what i am getting into when i got the product. The other downside is the texture of the ice cream being made, the shaving paddle does a decent job of creating a scoop-able ice cream from the solid frozen ice cream base but it is not by any means as rich and creamy as regular ice cream. It is a good product but just tamper your expectations.

Great idea, but I now have noise complaints…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a tricky review, because on one hand, this device works and It makes great things like healthy ice cream! However, on the other hand, this is another large appliance that takes up a lot of storage space when not in use. The biggest challenge with using this is that it is LOUD! And I mean loud! Thinking of having a frozen protein shake before going to bed? Nope, not unless you want your entire family to wake up and ask for some too.. With that, its usefulness decrease and makes the device less likely to get used. If it was somehow shorter and and significantly quieter, I’d give this 4 or maybe even 5 stars.

Definitely the best purchase I have made!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was definitely by far the best purchase I have made in an extremely long time. I am lactose intolerant so I can’t have regular ice cream anymore! When I got this I put together some ingredients with oat milk. This has made all my dreams come true! You can also make sugar free ice cream as well! It has so many options. My favorite option is creamiccino. It makes everything in the texture of a frappe.

Worth the investment
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best hands down! I’ve had the huge traditional ice cream makers in the past - never had the ice cream turned out very well / the time it takes to freeze the outer ring and such - it just was never worth it. This is a game changer! I’ve been making a “protein ice cream” with hardly any sugar involved - the kids LOVE it! Which, in my eyes, is a win! I agree it’s a little pricey for a countertop gadget, but the savings definitely add up with all these trips to grab ice cream that we have been skipping!

Solid and Fun Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's awesome! Homemade ice cream, made just right! It's a bit loud, but not too crazy. A little expensive, but good at what it does. We have really enjoyed making our own treats!

Clever and Versatile
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for an ice cream and gelato maker, but didn't like the idea of having to freeze ingredients in advance. However, after some research, it seemed difficult to find a versatile machine that could make so many things, had a compressor to freeze, and was at a price point I would want to pay. After seeing so many people rave about the CREAMi, and with the availability of so many online recipes, I decided to purchase it. I have so far been happy with it. It's a very clever machine and the variety of items I've experimented with have all been successful. It seems to me that pretty much anything you freeze will create an enjoyable frozen treat. I love the variety of settings that this thing has, and don't think there's another product as versatile. People do talk about how loud it is, but it's not really that bad. It is not as loud as a blender, so I don't mind it.

Great isn’t always perfect.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s pretty great and the ice cream is as good if not better than any store bought ice cream you can buy. That’s provided you are able to create the flavor you desire, or if a flavor listed in the manual is what you are wanting.. then as long as you are able to successfully follow the instructions.. you should be very pleased with the result. Anyways, many ppl review this product after the first impression which is usually at a point when they’re meticulously following instructions and being overly careful to do it all right. My experience with ninja products is that it’s best to familiarize yourself with them by slowly and carefully following instructions so that the initial results are consistent with what the instruction manual says they will be. After gaining a basic understanding of one of their products, you should usually be able to begin using them in a way that will vary from person to person so long as you aren’t pushing the limits of what any method of food processing/cooking/preparing would be capable of. By that I mean, you can usually utilize ninja products to create something outside of anything listed in the instructions (recipe wise). That’s still true with the ninja creami deluxe. I used to love blue bell’s strawberry cheesecake ice cream as well as a Kroger brand light ice cream southern butter pecan, but sadly I do not remember the last time I saw a gallon of strawberry cheesecake and it seems Kroger has discontinued either a couple flavors from their light ice cream line or just the one I liked because I have not been able to find it for over a year and struggled to find it for even longer than that. I purchased this ninja creami deluxe because we own quite a few ninja products.. each has been a game changer and great investment. This one is no different. The reason I have given it 4 stars when there’s so much hype over it, and I can see why as I’ve been and to create light versions of southern butter pecan AND strawberry cheesecake nearly identical to the originals.. is because there is one aspect of using this machine I’ve noticed could be an issue for many.. You basically have to reprocess your leftovers or pints every time they go back into the freezer. When you buy ice cream from the store.. you can scoop a serving size you want, put the container back into the freezer, and feel confident it will be consistently fresh each time you return for more. Outside of issues like freezer burn or problems that affect any kind of food that goes in a freezer, your ice cream is almost always guaranteed to be very close to the way you left it the last time you had some. That’s not the case with this. Yes once you freeze it and process it, you will usually find results you’re very pleased with (again.. provided you understand the machine), but unless you eat the entire pint in a sitting, you will be storing your leftovers in the freezer. The next time you go for your pint, it will be frozen hard as brick and once again require processing. The fact that you need to reprocess.. makes it a fact that left overs should be left in the pint that came with the machine so you can reprocess. This can make trying to prepare when you think you will want a certain flavor ready somewhat difficult. Unless you have a ridiculous amount of freezer space (we have two decently sized freezers) and are willing to purchase additional ninja pints (I bought just two more), you will likely run into the issue of being unable to have fresh ice cream in the amount you want at the time you want. In other words, if you’re eyeballing this thinking you’ll be and to make a couple of gallons of your ideal flavors with it to go for anytime you’re craving ice cream, that’s not going to be the case IF you’re planning to process and store in a container of your choosing or anything like what store bought ice cream comes in. You will need to likely leave it in a ninja pint to be reprocessed every time you go for it. That’s been my experience at least with very little exceptions as there has been A flavor that kept well and didn’t harden too much after being stored in the freezer in one of our storage containers. So long as that isn’t an issue.. then you’ll likely be very pleased with this product. Especially if you’re interested in lighter options.
