It seems like AI and automatic systems are the new wave in everything these days. The Shark Detect Power Blender Pro is a blender - mixer - dicer that automatically adjusts the blade speed to generate the desired consistency. The dial has a glossy black front that, when turned on, then shows a digital display. You rotate the actual dial to select your target, then the blender senses and takes care of the rest. We noticed no banging or rocking of the blender base during use. Speaking of the blender, the blades are removable which allows for easy and thorough cleaning of both the blades as well as the pitcher. The blender lid has a spout cover with a wire in the middle which prevents big chunks of ice or fruit or whatever you’re blending from plopping out. It’s a really simple yet elegant way to prevent an annoyance. When you set the blender and turn to lock, it clicks in place so you know for sure it’s secured. The blender lid similarly clicks into place with an audible and tactile cue. No issues with a slightly off blender or lid leading to a smoothie getting whipped all over the kitchen. Everything just works, which was quite nice. Highly recommend

I am a huge fan of all of the Shark/Ninja products I started out years ago with the original Ninja blender, and it has grown to vacuums, carpet cleaners and robot vacuums The price point on their products get your attention, but the attractive designs, innovative features and lasting dependability keeps you coming back to the brand As mentioned that I already have a Ninja blender, but when we became a grandparent, we needed something a little different to make our own baby food. I also wanted something completely dedicated to the little one to avoid any cross contamination Un boxing is typical - it is shipped as a box in a box, with sufficient dunnage to protect in transit The owners manual is outstanding. Explains the features and how and when to use them. Want to blend fine? Let the blender take out the guesswork for you Chop? Select how fine or course you want it, and let the blender do the rest Didn't get enough blending? Use the manual mode or pulse to reach your desired consistency Like all Ninja blenders, the blades are sharp, so be careful handling and washing Lastly, I have not found anything that the motor can not power through

I'm not a frequent blender user. That said, when the opportunity arose to test out the Ninja Detect Power Blender Pro with BlendSense Technology, I checked my cabinet. I do have a random blender from goodness knows where, that was missing part of the lid and hasn't ben used in some time. Upon arrival, I immediately took it out, read the directions & then searched for some recipes! Immediate impression- it's an attractive appliance that I can leave out or break down easily for storage. LOVE the locking lid!! In my blending past, I have fallen victim more than once to the sitcom-like scenario where the lid pops off and your blended items fly all over! I made some homemade hummus and a smoothie for my dinner a few nights ago. The BlendSense Technology definitely picked different times and speeds for the two different recipes and made quick work of both the all-soft hummus ingredients and the partially frozen smoothie ingredients. If you're looking for a smart, modern take on a staple kitchen counter appliance, you're not going to go wrong with the Ninja Detect Power Blender Pro with BlendSense Technology.

This blender has been a great addition to our kitchen. It’s mighty powerful with 1800 watts of peak power through its sleek low-profile base. This brawny base and blades have no problem taking care of whatever you’re looking to blend, grind, chop, puree, etc. Save time, steps, and money by utilizing the chop in pitcher capability to put essentially full uncut/chopped ingredients straight into the blender’s pitcher without the need to pre-chop them to reduce size. The base/motor unit utilizes blend sense smart blending technology. This technology is basically automatic calibration and settings made in order to provide you with the perfect blend for any recipe. The base automatically detects portion size, the presence or absence of ice, as well as soft or frozen ingredients. This is all in order to detect what and how much is in the pitcher and sets power, speed, torque, pulses and all other settings to the appropriate levels to ensure the perfect blend. If the automated features aren’t your flavor, then there is a manual override for complete control of the blender through its 10-speed motor base. Build Quality seems up to the challenge. Utilizes solid, quality feeling materials in its construction. It appears to be sturdy and durable, seems able to withstand heavy regular use. A unique design/feature of this blender is the multiple blades that come up a central shaft in the center of the pitcher. This is a great feature that I’m surprised I’ve never seen before. It really makes for a better blending experience and allows you to put more ingredients in the blender without the need to constantly help things down to the blades at the bottom. Very nice and appreciated feature. Noise Level: the noise level produced during operation is very low, not much motor, unit, or gear noise to note. Now over noise of course depends on what’s in the pitcher, but the unit itself and for most applications of ingredients remains fairly quiet and tolerable. I’ve had some other high-powered blenders that were quite loud and a bit obnoxious in our home environment – especially if someone was trying to mix up a morning smoothie while others are still asleep. This blender certainly does not seem to have that problem. Capacity and Size is great. The large 72-ounce pitcher is definitely enough for anything I’ve ever made. Its footprint is small and very reasonable to leave this out on the counter all the time without claiming too much space to do so. If anything, it may seem a little tall for some kitchens, but we did not have this problem and it fits in well in our kitchen on the counter under the cabinets. Pitcher size is more than suitable for our needs and usage. Cleaning and Maintenance: Super easy to clean with all components being dishwasher safe. The blender/pitcher/blade are easy to disassemble for quick pain-free cleaning? Price and Value: I would consider the price of this blender to be pretty low in comparison to others I’ve had with similar features and performance. I think this unit offers GREAT value for the price point compared to other blenders with similar capabilities.

A Great Blender. The BlendSense setting makes making smoothies much easier...just put in all the ingredients at once, and it automatically pulses (slows and speeds up) to let the mixture settle - no more stopping the blender, take the lid off, push the contents down, restart the blending. The multiple blades at different heights - instead of just one blade at the bottom really makes sense. Sticky feet makes the unit safe to use.

I'd been eyeing a Ninja blender for a while, I've recently gotten into cooking a lot more at home, trying new recipes and things. Almost everything I make requires me to chop up or puree vegetables. Also, store-bought sauces and salsas have gotten more expensive and I like the thought of making my own! First, it's a beautiful little machine. Very well made and sturdy. The multi-blade is SHARP, has no problem chopping down even large cubes of ice which I tend to buy. I made margaritas and the texture was fantastic. I wasn't quite so thrilled with the detect function, though? Seems to either over or under chop when it's supposed to sense the perfect amount of time to to run based on the fill level. This has happened twice when chopping veggies to go into a soup and a pot of mustard greens. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I still seem to have to blend a bit more or work with a little runnier of a puree than I like. I haven't attempted to make a smoothie yet, but I plan to play around with it some more over the weekend. I think it's lovely and sells at a good price point for everything it's made to do, but I may still be a bit too much of an amateur to fully appreciate all the features right off the bat. I'm going to keep at it, love the idea of making almond butter with it! Will come back and update my review after I've had more time with it.

This blender is fantastic! I made homemade hummus with it and it did an awesome job. Perfectly blends every time. Easy to clean. Very satisfied with this product
