No, I would not recommend this to a friend Worth the extra price for added options!

Definitely worth the extra money for the added benefits.

The only negative I can give it, is the thermal carafe doesn't keep coffee hot for more than a couple hours due the lid having an opening at the top.

She absolutely loves this machine. Now she has iced coffee whenever she wants, and its perfect every time.

The carafe keeps coffee warm all day, hot for a good couple hours without burning it like a normal hot plate burner. The frother lets me add a nice fancy touch to my morning coffee. I can delay my brew so it’s ready in the AM which makes rough mornings a little easier. The separate water line is pretty cool. Overall a nice upgrade from my Keurig Duo.
