Maybe ours was defective, but it just was such a step down for the ninja 12 cup (no pod) coffee maker ($50-$70ish). The first time we brewed, we used the same amount of coffee as we did with our last ninja coffee maker, as they us the same coffee filter. The coffee grounds overflowed all over the top of the pot and base. Also, we used the rich settings, and it just used less water and was still less strong; where as the basic ninja made a much richer roast. We tried the regular setting the next morning and less grinds (so it wouldn't overflow). The coffee was even weaker and there were coffee beans were still all over. We tried a few more times, and the coffee was just weaker than the regular ninja and we couldn't get the beans to not over flow unless we were only putting less than 3 big scoops (where it mentions 7 should be the max). We returned it and bought a new basic 12 cup ninja and LOVE it again.

Makes the best cup of coffee fast. Make 8oz or a pot it tastes the same

We have had this system for just over 6 weeks. Our main concern is that the carafe drips as you pour a cup of coffee. We use this daily. The amount of”dripping” seems to be increasing. If you do not fill the cup over the sink, you need to wipe the carafe off and whatever the cup was sitting on. I am wondering about the return policy. Everything works as it should but this dripping carafe is a deal breaker.

Almost perfect. The only complaint is the thermal carafe doesn't keep coffee hot as we would expect of Ninja products.

The coffee had a distinct burnt/bitter taste, regardless of the setting, grind, water level, or K-cup. Very frustrating. Exchanged it for the DeLonghi all-in-one (com530m), and the coffee and espresso from the DeLonghi meets expectations. The Ninja was easy to use and clean

Upgraded from Keurig Elite after 3.5 years to be able to prep coffee for at least half of the week!

We needed to replace our old coffee machine and bought this ninja and we absolutely love it.

Great Coffee Maker. Just with there was a way to close the lid after brewing to allow coffee to stay warmer longer

I was pumped to get this coffee maker, and am hoping I’ll be able to come in and update my review once I get a working unit. But either way, I felt it important to share this with others just in case. Part of the setup process is “priming” the unit. This I consists of running the full carafe setting with just water. About halfway through the unit beeped (not sure how many times) and the bean light was flashing. I contacted Ninja customer service and they did a video call with me, and confirmed it is a defective unit. They offered to send a new one, and have me send them back the old one with a prepaid label. This is nice customer service :). However they won’t send the new one until the old one arrives. Once they send the new one shipping is 3-10 days. I’m debating exchanging via Best Buy- or simply returning the thing altogether because it’s not great to have your brand new $2xx.00 coffee maker not work right out of the box, even if it was on sale and I paid $1xx.00, it still stinks. By the way during the test video w/Ninja I paid closer attention to how many beeps & it was 5, whatever that means.

Was a little disappointed because this model didn't come with a heating plate. Why? For 250. It should have. It was working ok then it started spitting like it was clogged up. Over all it looks great. Should've done more reading on it but gotta love hubby for trying.
