I had been using a Ninja - Coffee Bar 1-Cup Coffee Maker for 5 years. This is a big step up. Does what you want with hot water. Setup is simple, unpack, connect the milk frother, and plug in. The water reservoir can be on the side or the back so help fit where you want it. A simple shifting of the reservoir base changes the location. It holds enough water for 12 cups to fill the included Carafe. When using the Carafe, the base can also heat to help keep the coffee warm. There is a fold out stand for smaller cups. Once assemble and plugged in, you set the time. On the left of the unit is a water or coffee selector. When its' on coffee, the K-cup or coffee menu options are available on the touch screen. The K-cup adapter comes installed. If in, K-cup options come up. Select the size and style of serving you want. Pop in the K-cup and push on the button displaying time. K-cup product is made. Open the lid, remove the K-cup and you're ready for the next one. The K-cup adapter locks in to place and you unlock and slide the top back to unlock it. It then easily lifts out to clean or make room for coffee. The brew basket is used with the coffee maker. For coffee, with the K-cup adapter removed, the coffee brew basket remains. It does not come with a metal filter, but they are available. One Number 4 paper filter is included. Use a filter, and the scoop to put in the grounds needed for the amount to make, Again, you can dial in the size and type of brew you want to make. The touch screen is responsive and shows your selection. Slide the cover shut and start brewing. There is a open/close selector on the basket to use as needed. Switching the dial on the left from Coffee to water changes your options. For water you can select the amount and if you want hot or boiling. Hot is great for making hot chocolate or anything you want to drink right away. It's hot, but not burning hot. The boiling selection is for making tea, oatmeal, cup of noodles, or other food items that need boiling water. It's hot enough for cooking the items. From start until the water first comes out is only a few seconds delay. The best thing on the water dispenser is the output is a separate dispenser from the coffee one. So, it's just water, no chance of other tastes mixing in with the water. On the side is a milk frother, it does not heat, just froths. After you connect it, you just pop it out as needed. Instructions and a recipe pamphlet are included. From setup to use it's pretty easy. From hot water to K-cups, to ground coffee the unit has prepared everything with no issues. Everything has tasted great.

I really loved this coffee maker. After a while of use the water lines plugged up. I had to repeatedly clean with vinegar and water. I’m glad I purchased the 2 year warranty. It was replaced with a new one.

Versatile coffee maker that is easy to use, highly recommend! It brews quickly and makes a good cup of regular coffee, but gives you everything you need to avoid the starbucks lines and prices.

I'll start by stating this coffee maker is excellent for both single serve or making a whole pot of coffee. My daughter is big into iced coffee and she loves this machine and the frother attachment. The water tank can come in handy for heated water for tea, soups or other uses for heated water. This coffee maker seems to get right to business of brewing, with a very short warm up period. The controls are well laid out and not complicated. It's also not overly large, so it won't eat up a lot of counter space. It's a winner!

    Great coffemaker, but…

Love this coffeemaker. Brews delicious coffee because, I think, it heats the water much hotter than the brands I have owned before. Using the jiffy frother makes Cappuccino as good as a coffee shop. The convenience of the insertable K-cup and how much better if brews than my Kurig is a bonus. The only down side to this model is the supposedly insulated stainless carafe. When you purchase this model I discovered, to my disappointment, that it does not have a hot plate to keep the coffee hot. That is only available, I discovered after the fact, with model using a glass carafe. Still, I like the greatly improved flavor of my morning coffee now, but Don’t expect to get a hot cup after it sits for 1-1/2 - 2 hours.

I'm a big fan of the Ninja brand and specifically of this product. My wife really loves her variety of K-Cups and will have 2 or 3 different ones on any given day. I, on the other hand, am the type to brew a carafe of good old drip coffee and stick with that throughout the day. This is largely due to my being able to customize the amount of grounds I use and also due to the fact that I drink almost exclusively decaf and my favorite brands/varieties just cannot be found in K-Cups. I'm not one that usually goes for frothed milk with my coffee. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm lazy by nature and hate cleaning the various frothing apparatuses I've had in the past. The one on the DualBrew Pro though is easy enough to clean that I have actually found myself using it more than I thought I would I also really like being able to have the reservoir positioned on the back of the unit. I have 4 hot beverage brewing machines on my counter and it is quite crowded in that space width-wise. Being able to reduce the footprint somewhat in that dimension is a big plus for me. Oddly enough, the only thing I was a little disappointed in with this machine was the temperature of the coffee that I'm getting. I think it will be fine for most people, but I like mine hotter than most. It's about on par with my Keurig Elite machine, but not with the drip coffee maker I'm replacing with this. All in all, I am very happy with the DualBrew Pro. All of its perks (waka waka!) far outweigh my issue with the temperature of the final product and I suspect that most people who purchase one would easily give it 5 stars. I would definitely recommend it (and have already) to friends and family.

WOW-This Ninja coffee system does it all!! You can make a single cup pod (4 sizes) or a 12 cup carafe. You can make your coffee hot or iced! You can froth your drink with the fold away built in frother - super cool! It comes with a digital dial to choose your settings-easy to use. Love that the water reservoir can be used on the side or the back depending on your space! A cute little smart scoop is tucked in for measuring your coffee ground-a nice little extra. This machine makes me happy every morning!

Works great with my pods from Sam's. Also used the frother which worked as expected. Gets the results you expect from a brewer and is very versatile with various type of coffee which you may choose or desire instead of the k-cup. The hot water dispenses as well which makes it very easy to use a multipurpose machine.

    Great multi-brew coffee maker!

This coffee maker is by far the best option for people who want to be able to brew either a single cup or full pot. Though you can use pods, I prefer to use a filter and my own coffee for any size cup, and the thermal carafe version is only available at Best Buy as far as I can tell. It's not just the variety of size brews available. I have tried multiple coffee makers and the Ninja uses the right temperature hot water to brew coffee perfectly. The difference is noticable and I am not a coffee snob.

    Great overall experience

Great coffee maker. My coffee has tasted great. I mostly use beans and they taste great in all settings. As far as coffee pods, I have only tried ones from Tayst and they fit fine. Assembly of the product was a breeze and cleanup is nice and simple. The reason I give 4 out of 5 stars are the following reasons. 1) I wish there was a built in coffee basket filter. I have to keep buying coffee filters and sometimes they get super soaked that they go through into the cup when I'm not careful. Built in coffee basket will reduce waste as well and prevent excess beans from dropping into the mug when water flows through. 2) The timer for the scheduled coffee brew option only brews for the scheduled time once. For example, if I always wake up at 7 am to brew for coffee. If I set the timed brew on Sunday night to brew for the next cup on Monday at 7 am it will do so. However, I have to continuously reset the scheduled brew daily. It would be nice if I could do it for the amount of days I want in one sitting rather than daily. Overall, I love this nifty machine. Highly recommend!

Love it! My husband and I drink different kinds of coffee - he uses K-cups and I make a half pot. Easy to transition between the two. Coffee tastes great! Love the hot water feature. Only very small complaint is that the coffee in the thermal pot doesn’t stay hot too long.

The quality of the brewed coffee is the reason I settled on this machine. Would have liked a reusable mesh coffee ground basket and the ability to brew tea but overall, it's a good one.

This is a good coffee maker. We haven’t tried all the extras yet. I was disappointed and surprised to find that it does not have a warming tray. The carafe is stainless but has a hole in the top so coffee doesn’t stay hot very long.
