Pods and pot brewing. Both work really well. Pod has a three prong so it gets a better saturation of the grinds in the pod. Hot water feature is also very nice since it has a separate tube so that you don’t get coffee flavor in your tea. The thermos is pretty good but does not make up for not having a warming plate. Coffee will stay relatively hot for about an hour and then it just is warm. If you want a hot hot cup of coffee in a half hour you might want to look elsewhere. This keeps your coffee Starbucks hot(not that hot) not Dunkin hot (maybe you can drink it in thirty minutes)
