I absolutely love this machine. It's great for espresso, and it's great for coffee - whether we want to make a cup at a time or a whole carafe. The built-in frother is easy to use and easy to clean.

We wanted to enjoy easy and quick expresso while still being able to brew from time to time. This machine certainly serves the purpose. Fother is a good addon though we aren't using it often.

It’s been just over a year and the pod doesn’t work. The coffee leaks on both sides. There is grind in my coffee. I love ninja. All my appliances are ninja, but for this to only last me out of warranty period I’m super disappointed.

      Hi Nataly,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Ninja Espresso & Coffee Barista System. We’re truly sorry to hear about the leaking and grounds in your coffee, especially since you’ve been such a loyal Ninja customer. We understand how disappointing it is when a trusted appliance doesn’t perform as expected, particularly just outside the warranty period.

While it’s frustrating, issues like this can sometimes be caused by minor blockages or buildup in the pod area. We recommend running a deep clean of the machine and ensuring all components, like the brew basket and pod holder, are securely in place. If you’ve already tried these steps, our team would be happy to assist you further. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 1-800-365-0135, and we’ll do everything we can to help.

Your satisfaction means a great deal to us, and we’ll share your feedback with our product teams to ensure we continue to improve. Thank you for being a part of the Ninja family—we’re here to support you.

      Kind regards,
      Ninja Kitchen

Coffee...A must have for me to start the day. Not for a boost from the caffeine as I am one of the folks that it has little effect on, but for the pure enjoyment of the coffee itself. And its got to be good and fresh for me to enjoy it. This machine from Ninja is super easy to use and make that perfect single cup, full pot or anything in between.! The included measuring scoop and the water adjustment dial have coffee pot icons on them that correspond to one another with suggestion ratios for what you have decided to make on the coffee bean side of it and the similar icons on the side that uses Nespresso Original Only Espresso Capsules. Of course those ratios for a perfect cup will vary from one person to another so start with the suggestions and personalize it from there to get that perfect cup for you. On the coffee side, it used #4 cone shaped filters available nearly everywhere (only 4 are included) or the same size #4 reusable mesh filter. (reusable filter not included) But I have used both of the above mentioned filters with excellent results for either of them. Now on the espresso capsule side it gives you the option of 4 sizes of espresso and similar from the Nespresso Original Capsules for use in many coffee/espresso specialty drinks or to add a shot to that first morning cup if caffeine gives you that get up and go as it does for many. Used espresso capsules drop into their own collection vault for disposal later. Ninjas fold out frother operates at the touch of a button on its top and works very well for froth or even stirring your add ins to the coffee or espresso. Its carafe, carafe top filter holder, frother and capsule collection vault are all dishwasher safe, with top rack recommendations for several of them. It has a delay timer to set the machine to make your coffee at a later time, like when you wake up. I could go on but you really just need to go get one of these for your kitchen and see for yourself how awesome it is.

It makes coffee, it makes espresso, it makes just the right amount of go juice to help you with your day. This is my first single-serve coffee machine and I think it's a keeper. Every machine I've had up until now keeps making coffee based on how much water is poured into the reservoir. This machine from ninja allows you to select how much coffee you want and have it dispense directly into your mug or travel mug. Alternatively, you can put a pot under the coffee spout, and it will get filled. There's a built in warmer which activates when you brew a carafe. A shelf can be used when a smaller mug is appropriate. Even tall 16 oz travel mugs fit comfortably under the drip coffee dispenser. A water reservoir sits on the back of the machine, just like those used for single use K Cups.the difference is you can use your favorite coffee beans, including those you have freshly ground. only the water you need is dispensed from the reservoir to make your coffee. In addition, the machine will slowly drip the coffee through the grounds, just like your favorite high-end coffee shop. This ensures the optimal steeping time for your coffee grounds. There’s even a setting to slow the dripping further in order to create a richer, more flavorful cup of joe. For ice coffee lovers, there’s even a setting to use for ‘over ice’ to allow a richer blend of coffee to be mixed with ice to deliver the perfect concoction. Since timing is everything, the coffee maker can be set to brew your morning jolt automatically for you each day. You just have to remember to put the grounds in place the night before. Clean up is fairly simple, depending on your preference.the machine uses standard cone shaped paper filters. You can also use a gold tone filter to reduce the environmental impact. With the paper shelter, clean up is nearly the same as with a K Cup machine, but with more options for the type and quantity of coffee you want to brew. If that wasn’t enough, Ninja also added the ability to brew Nespresso style espresso drinks. A separate brewing system is used to ensure the right heat and pressure is applied to your choice of ristretto, espresso, or lungo. These are different amounts of water for the same amount of grounds. Over Ice limits the water further, allowing for a small ice espresso shot. There’s not much Ninja has left out from this countertop barista. A built-in grinder might be nice, but I’m not sure It would be worth the additional expense. The unit is fairly compact As is, fitting nicely under my cabinets. Adding something would disrupt that aesthetic. I'm very happy with the results so far, and hope this lasts for many years of coffee enjoyment to come.

THE BREAKDOWN: This Ninja Espresso and Coffee Barista system has all the tools built into one! I think it stated that; is one system, maximum versatility. This Ninja coffee system is easy to set up and use. I love the delay feature where you can set it up to brew at a specific time with the type and how much. This saves a lot of time in the morning preparing coffee for my wife and me. We switch between iced coffee and regular hot coffee all the time and it is easy to set up and forget about it until you smell it in the morning. This Ninja system brews two different size espresso capsules, Espresso and Lungo. I know that most of us know what an espresso shot is, so the “Lungo” which means long in Italian is a less rich with more water espresso shot that takes longer to make sometimes up to a minute. For me what would have made this machine stand out is if it had its own grinder and made espresso from that rather than purchased capsules. Alas it does have an ideal temperature of around 190 degrees, and it has a 19-bar pressure system and does make an okay espresso. It also has a used capsule storage that holds up to 20 used espresso capsules. This Ninja system also brews coffee grounds like any classic coffee maker. You can choose from 9 different brewing sizes from cup to carafe with classic or rich brew styles. This machine also makes iced coffee which is one of my wife and I’s favorite features. This system also has a fold away, built in frother for those of you who like to make that silky smooth froth. PRO’s: - Easy to set up and use - Makes great coffee and iced coffee - Espresso maker with the capsule CON’s: - Wish it had its own grinder to make espresso, so you don’t have to purchase capsules SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for a device like this.

This Ninja Espresso & Coffee Barista system is an excellent machine that is a must-have for those who are considered baristas and non-barista. I have many coffee machines from multiple brands, but I always have my trust in only a few. Ninja is one of the best brands I trust to get the best of it. The machine is well made, and the quality is excellent and weighted well, so it does not slide around. It offers to have a full carafe or single-serve cup options. Heating is all about excellence. The maximum warming plate remains on for up to 4 hours, which keeps the drink hot. After performing the cleaning cycle, I made my first coffee and left it for 3 hours; it tasted like it was just freshly brewed. What amazed me was the quick brewing it was pouring into the pot non-stop. Relatedly, the warming plate has a lit indicator on its base that indicates that warming is on until it turns off, depending on how long the warming duration is set. The warming time can be set by pressing and holding the warm button for a few seconds until the current warming time appears and then turning the dial to choose the desired warming time. The coffee ground scoop is stored on the side of the machine for quick and handy use. The removable water reservoir is the identity of most of Ninja's products, and always happy to see it included in this machine. The built-in fold-away frother is excellent for staying hidden and does not take much space, but I wish the machine had a steamer too, making it an optimal coffee machine. However, the frother is fantastic, and I got my cappuccino cup with frothed milk which was tasty and excellent. I have a standalone espresso machine, but this Ninja saved me a place on my kitchen counter since it offers a single machine to make coffee/espresso/cappuccino/lungo/over ice. I love the storage bin for the espresso capsules (only original espresso capsules are compatible with this machine); after the espresso is completely brewed, the used capsule falls into the bin after releasing the lever. The Control panel and the animated brewing progress above the dial are well designed, and functions are straightforward. I'm so happy to have this Ninja Espresso & Coffee Barista System. Great product, and from a perspective based on the quality, I would say this machine will last longer than any other machine.

This is the best coffee machine I have ever owned. I have owned several kcup machines, Bunn, percolaters etc…and this one is my favorite. I can brew one cup of coffee in multiple sizes, all the way up to a 12 cup pot. When i feel like a latte I brew a nespresso pod. You can easily make your favorite coffee shop drinks at home. I love Starbuck brown sugar shaken espressos, so i just brew the number of shots i want over ice, shake, warm some almond milk and brown sugar, use the frother on the side of the machine to mix and froth, then pour over the espresso. So easy, cheap, and yummy.

To get it out of the way 1-star is removed due to a lack of convenience in an overall all-in-one sense. I realize that moniker/term is not actually in official nomenclature of the Ninja Espresso & Cafe Barista System, but it certain advertises itself as an all-in-one and attempts to lure you in that way. What *would* make this a 5-star item? A grinder. The footprint of the system isn't that large, so adding a simple grinder to the body if one couldn't be implemented in whatever dead-space exists within the current setup means the addition of one wouldn't result in a massively countertop stealing device. Capsules are inherently wasteful, not everyone enjoys them, and with this particular offering, you are limited to only the Nescafe cups. Now, that isn't necessarily a terrible thing (as they are one of if not the best in that market) but on the other hand it means you have to have a separate grinder as most people wanting to get into this area of brewing aren't using pre-ground beans. Wrapping up my only genuine con: I would gladly pay an additional $100-$150 for the above to be implemented, even if it meant a slightly larger footprint. These are supposed to be convenience items, let's make them that top to bottom, inside and out. Ok, with all that out of the way, everything else is stellar, especially at this price-point. I have a mid-range system from a more boutique brand that costs 4x the MSRP of the Espress & Coffee Barista System, and some of the materials (plastic vs metal) on the exterior are 1:1, meaning Ninja did a more than decent job ensuring frequently touched areas are going to stand up over time. You are provided platforms and means to get your coffee fix in whatever way you desire: caraffe, mug, shot, everything has a surface that tucks away when not in use to provide the optimal interaction with the Barista System. It might not seem like much, but it helps with splashes, spills, so on and so forth. The menu and interface are beautifully minimal. The rotary knob handles most all adjustments and is extremely intuitive, even if at first you may find yourself pondering how you're going to control *everything* via this rotary/push button focal point. Read through the manual if necessary, or just start spinning and pushing things, it is extremely straight forward - you will find that it makes sense in no time. Really good coffee machine with all the bells and whistles you would expect at this price-point all the while introducing some new things to the experience, quite beautifully integrated might I add. Recommended if you are in the market and haven't upgraded your current machine in ~5+ years. If you just purchased something 1-2 years ago (that wasn't a $20 barebones drip-brewer) you might be a little underwhelmed with the experience and might want to keep an eye on Ninja in the near future for a possible improved Barista System with an integrated grinder...fingers crossed.

Ninja - 7 Style Espresso & Coffee Barista System Pros: Versatility: The ability to offer 7 different styles of coffee suggests a high level of versatility, catering to a wide range of coffee preferences. Single-Serve & Nespresso Capsule Compatibility: The dual compatibility with both single-serve coffee grounds and Nespresso capsules provides users with flexibility and convenience in choosing their preferred coffee brewing method. 12-Cup Carafe: The inclusion of a 12-cup carafe is beneficial for users who want the option to brew larger quantities, making it suitable for gatherings or households with multiple coffee drinkers. Built-in Frother: The built-in frother is a valuable feature for creating lattes, cappuccinos, and other frothy coffee beverages, enhancing the machine's versatility. Modern Design: The black color and modern design contribute to an aesthetically pleasing appearance that can complement various kitchen styles.

Just picked up this new Ninja Espresso & Coffee Barista System and so far, I am enjoying it. This system is so easy to use, and I love the large carafe size at 55 ounces. On the days I work from home, I fill up the pot and keep it fresh on the warmer all morning long. There is so much to love in the convenient little coffee and espresso system. If you are a fan of espresso but can’t make it to a coffee shop, this machine is compatible with Nespresso capsules so you can have that fresh cup of espresso in an instant. Simply lift the lever on the top of the machine, insert the Nespresso capsule, close the lever, select the espresso type, then let the magic happen. The used capsule drops into a container and is stored until you are ready to dispose of the capsules when the bin is full, the bin can hold 20 used capsules. The bin is also part of the adjustable cup tray, so you can adjust the height of the tray to best fit the mug you are using when making espresso. What makes this machine stand out from others is that it has Barista Plus Technology, which means it is a 19-bar high-pressure system that creates a café-quality espresso with a crema that is so smooth. There are 4 sizes and styles of espresso this machine can make. The Ristretto comes in at .85oz, the Espresso at 1.35oz, Lungo at 3.75oz, and the Over Ice at 1oz. The Ninja Barista System has a fold-out frother that helps to create the perfect cappuccinos or lattes, right in your own kitchen. The frother is easy to use and easy to clean. The arm on the frother that has the blender twists off for easy cleanup. The frother can be used for both hot and cold froth depending on what you are making or personal preference. The espresso portion of this machine is quick and easy to use, creating a smooth and perfect cup of espresso every time. I love the convenience of it if you are looking for that little extra kick. This Ninja Barista System is also a grounded coffee machine. I use the coffee-making capabilities more than the espresso-making abilities in my daily routine. I absolutely love the brew this machine throws down. The machine does a wonderful job and I have yet to have a bad coffee in the morning, this machine has never let me down. I have never had a coffee machine where setting the brew time for the next day was this easy. I have always had to battle every machine I have ever had when trying to figure out the timer, it was like I had to re-learn how to do it, every single night. Not with this machine, it is so easy! It was the first feature I tried out after I set the machine up. All you have to do is press “delay” and then follow the prompts on the little wheel display. Nothing better than waking up and having the coffee be hot and ready for you. The machine even has its own coffee grounds scoop that attaches to the side and has an easy-to-read measurement guide, so you know how many coffee grounds to add depending on the size of the cup or carafe you are about to make. The coffee size-making options are awesome. You can make a single cup of coffee all the way up to the 12-cup carafe. There are a total of 9 sizes of coffee you can make, small cup, Cup, XL cup, Travel mug, XL Travel, ¼ Carafe, ½ Carafe, ¾ Carafe, and 12-cup carafe. The coffee can also be brewed in 3 different types, Classic, Rich, or Over ice. The water reservoir is removable and holds up to 60oz of water, enough to fill the carafe to the top once. The top of the water dispenser is tight and has not leaked on me. I love the handle on the reservoir it is very secure and ensures you have a good grip, so you don’t drop it. The coffee side of the machine also has a warming plate that has adjustable times, up to four hours, adjustable heat, low, med, and large all to keep the perfect temperature to your liking. So far, I love having this machine as a new addition to the kitchen. My wife has told everyone about it as she loves it too. My wife and I went nuts on buying all sorts of new espressos from Nespresso and we have become even bigger fans of espresso since using this machine. The machine brews both espresso and coffee perfectly and evenly and even at the perfect temperature. Ninja did a great job on this machine build, it is solid and has no cheap jiggly parts, and it is very sturdy. I highly recommend this coffee machine!

This is an Amazing Duo! I just came from a Ninja Single brew system and Let me tell you….This Machine’s brewed coffee, has the same great taste as my previous Ninja did but now I can brew a single brew, with 3 increasing ounce sizes, up to a pot of coffee. But the best part is, the ability to throw an espresso pod in the machine ( original pods/capsule only). The Lungo setting gives you a nice frothy layer. I purchased a variety pack of pods on Amazon with different intensity strengths as to not have a heart attack and those are great, It has a built in frother which I always used on my previous Ninja but I felt like a Big Shot so also purchased a heated frother and that was a game changer. You will need a rolling tray from Amazon to pull it out from under the cabinet when filling the coffee filter. Yeah, this system may be a bit pricey… but it’s so Worth it!!

This machine has completely upgraded my coffee routine. I love that it can brew both a full pot and single-serve cups, plus the Nespresso compatibility is a huge bonus. The initial impression I had when opening the box for the Ninja Coffee/Espresso maker was it appeared to have a lot of attachments such as the pod ejection box (for the espresso side), water tanks etc.. But as I began to use the device to brew both Coffee and Espresso there were some things I liked and some things I did not, listed below: Pros Clean looking device, is not an eye sore appliance that sits on the counter like some of its competitors in this area. Many brew options, you can choose to brew small cups up to a full pot of coffee which was a neat feature compared to the standard "full pot or none" approach. Its straightforward use was refreshing to see as it appeared complicated at first blush, once you've figured out the capabilities of the device (which are minimal) it was pretty straight forward. The options on the front of the unit are pretty clear and direct, does not leave a lot of room for confusion, such as brewing a cup or a full pot of coffee etc. Brewing does not take an eternity like some others, pretty speedy for the most part. Negatives Instructions are fairly unclear, they do not provide feedback on if there is a grinder for the beans or list of the full features of the unit. There was assumptions made based on the name and picture of the unit. The espresso component only takes a specific Nespresso style pod. I was hoping to move away from pods to save some money, but buying brand specific pods does not achieve this goal. Not a huge deal breaker but more of a nuisance. This does not come with a re-usable filter for the Coffee side of the unit. Overall the coffee maker's quality is good, it does brew faster than some traditional drip-style coffee makers, however, this is the best feature, it's a really good drip style coffee maker but nothing more. The espresso side of the unit is disappointing due to the requirement that I must use a specific branded pod and cannot take beans for that side of the process.

I've always enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee every now and then. More recently, I've been liking the cappuccino/lattes and such but don't really like paying $5+ for one whenever I want it. Enter this super snazzy coffee machine that does a whole lot more than just brew a pot of coffee. On top of your normal brewing a pot of coffee, this machine can do individual brews, K-Cups, as well as espresso and cappuccino type drinks. Controls for the machine are pretty simple/intuitive and everything is pretty easy to clean. After performing a thorough cleaning cycle on this machine, I brew up a regular pot of coffee and it worked well. For a full carafe, it took about 8-10 minutes or so. It used up pretty much the whole water reservoir but that's to be expected I guess. The keep warm feature is nice and the machine can take just about any grind of coffee you have. I had some leftover pods from an older machine. These were pretty fine grind so I emptied them into a filter and got to brewing. I do need to get some more K-Cups as I'm eager to try out the single brew on this as well as using the frother. So far, it's been pretty cool to use. This isn't your ordinary coffee machine so it might take a bit to get used to. However, seems like a really nice addition to any kitchen and very useful.
