Smart Design - Very Quick to Heat

First off, this thing is not small by any stretch of the imagination. I was a little shocked at how large the box was. But that pays off in the sense that it can accommodate up to a 13" pizza or enough bread for 4 non-Dagwood sandwiches. That being said, it's doesn't have much in terms of height so taller objects may pose a bit of a challenge. However, the shorter height is probably done for a reason and that's the super cool feature that it can fold up when not in use. With the fact that this device is so deep, it can take up a lot of counter space but with this feature, it simply folds up when not in use. I can't express how great a feature this is. I feel like a lot of home appliances have some questionable usability in terms of the controls - some may be overly complex whereas some try to simplify things for aesthetics. This device splits the difference and even without reading instructions, it is incredibly easy to use with a start/pause button that also doubles as an adjustment knob. You'll use that knob to choose your level of crispiness, if you will. Then, you can adjust the time and then the temperature by pressing either of those buttons that are located directly below the knob. Super simple. The other cool thing is that once in operation, adjusting the time or the temperature is done the same manner. Simply rotate the knob and the time or temperature will change, again, with a press of either one of the buttons below it. I found preheating time to be very quick. In regards to how well it prepares food, I found it did a great job with french fries, whether just reheating or actual air frying from a bag of frozen fries. Two things to keep in mind - it gets hot very quick and you will need to watch your food. In addition, make sure to rotate the tray a handful of times during the cooking process as the heat distribution isn't necessarily even across the entire pan. Cleaning the device is very straight forward with a crumb pan that you can access through the front panel and there is also a latch on the bottom of the unit where you can clean out anything that may fall through. A smart design. And this may seem trivial, but you can tell that some thought was even put into the light on the inside. When you press the light, it doesn't just suddenly come on - it lights up smoothly like it's on a dimmer switch and the same when you turn it off. This isn't a cheap appliance, however, the thought that went into it shows. From the high quality to the easy usability, Ninja did a great job with this device.

Perfect for Small Kitchens, But Great for Everyone

The Ninja Foodi Air Fry Oven is the perfect solution to counter creep, where appliances multiply and take over the kitchen counter. It works as a toaster oven, convection oven, air fryer, and dehydrator, all while taking up about as much space as a regular toaster oven. Even less when it's folded up (more on this later). We've wanted a small oven that could roast vegetables, which we do quite a bit. The Ninja works perfectly for this in about 1/2 to 2/3 the time it takes in a regular oven, and at a lower temperature too. It has a large cooking space (13"x13") that it can accomodate a medium pizza with heating that is extremely even over the entire oven. Oh, it also does toast very evenly, best I've seen in a toaster. Preheating is almost instantaneous. The air fry function, with the large area, is actually easier to use than the air fryer we tried. The air-frying tray allows you to spread your ingredients out over a larger area than a dedicated air fryer, with much more uniform results. French frys and sweet potato chips were great! We also tried the dehydrator function with apples and bananas. It worked great, making fruit chips. We haven't tried cookies yet, but we're looking forward to it. After about a week, it's become the goto appliance and has seen daily use for every meal. It includes a non-stick sheet pan, an air fryer pan, and a crumb tray that all store inside the oven when not in use. Everything (except the oven itself) is machine washable, easing cleanup. The oven itself has a hinged foot in the back that allows it to fold up and be pushed back against the wall for storage. It only sticks out about 8" from the wall that way. Also when folded up, the entire bottom can be opened for easy access to the interior for cleaning. While we're at it, the controls are among the most intuitive I've seen, very easy to use. In summary, the Ninja Foodi Air Fry Oven is a absolute winner, replacing a host of dedicated appliances at a very reasonable price. About the only downside is that it's not very tall, so there's no frying a chicken whole. You might find other countertop ovens on the market with a taller cooking area, but I don't think you will find one that's better for smaller spaces or with as many user friendly features. Highly recommended!

Good Digital Oven; Air Fry Not Great

There's a lot to like about this oven: precise heat and time digital controls, preheats in seconds, cooks evenly, does everything. I've done roasted vegetables, broiled burgers, toast, bagels, and baked brownies and all turned out perfectly. It also has a dehydrate function for drying fruit but I haven't tried that yet. I do have one complaint, and maybe this is personal preference, but air fry foods come out dry. I tried breaded okra and french fries - both were too dry. I'll try some other things air fried and try tweaking time, temp, and preparation but so far I'm skeptical that the air fry function can measure up to oil fried foods. On another positive note, the controls and display for time, temperature and function are easy to use and read. Also, I really like the flip-up feature when not in use. It takes up a lot less space when not in use than my old toaster oven. Overall the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven is a really a well designed appliance.

This Ninja is well made with nice appearance. Does take up large amount of counter space but like the tilt up feature. The toaster/ air fryer works well but is slightly slower than previously owned. Larger interior cooking space is nice. It may smoke heavily if drippage onto the heating elements. Overall very nice combination unit and will definitely keep and recommend to others.

Toaster ovens have changed the game of cooking but air fryers can take that even further. The Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven is ALMOST the best of both worlds however in come up short in one area... The Ninja Digital Air Fry Oven has a ton of features both cooking wise and physically with its flip away capabilities. The oven itself has a ton of great menu items like air fry, air roast, air broil, bake, bagel, toast, dehydrate, and keep warm so you are covered for whatever you may be cooking. The buttons and knob are fairly high quality however the knob does tend to skip every once in a while but not a big deal. The unit does have a dedicated power button and light button which are huge since my last toaster oven did not have a light button. The unit comes with several trays such as the rack, sheet pan, mesh basket for letting stuff drip through (this can be used in addition to the sheet pan to catch drips) and several other racks/pans can be bought from Ninja for other food items. The unit is suppose to help save space on the counter top by being able to be rotated up and take up less space. While this feature is great please keep in mind to make use of this functionality with ease you need to keep about 5" behind the unit free at all times. So if you leave this space open and have the unit tilted down it will sit about 20" out from the wall/back splash. This is actually higher than my regular toaster oven just due to this functionality. Now you make choose to use it differently but if you plan to tilt it up all this time this is how it should be set up. As far as the interior size of the unit this is also where I was a bit disappointed. The space on top of the rack inside is only 2 3/4" and that is nearly touching the heating element. Our other toaster oven has nearly 6" of height and multiple rack settings so you can cook basically anything in it. Just note you will be limited by height with the Ninja. As far as cooking goes the Ninja is fantastic! preheat is crazy fast and the cook time is sometimes less than the package states. Products turn out very crispy even when reheated which is hard to do with any other method of reheat. The cook time and temperature are adjusted via separate hard buttons on the front and the dial for adjustment also acts as a start/stop button. No complaints whatsoever with the outcome of food from the Ninja other than the fact not everything can fit inside it like most toaster ovens. Overall I am a little disappointed with the size and functionality of the Ninja. The flip away idea is cool however most people forget how big the actual footprint is when down and then you have to clear stuff that may be in front of it away before using, etc. If you have the counter space I would just leave the unit down all the time and push it back to the wall which then makes the unit only stick out about 15" or so which is less than most larger toaster ovens. As for cooking I am thoroughly impressed! No complaints other than you simply cannot fit everything you can in a toaster oven.

I love my Ninja - Foodi 8 in 1 Digital Air Fryer!! I have not used the oven in my stove since I received my Ninja. I am an 87 yr old senior citizen. It is so handy to cook small meals in. Plus it makes the BEST toast. I still haven't used all of the settings.

Product has been an excellent option to using the oven for everything. Also was a great addition to our ninja lineup. Easy to clean and store away. Does not take up the counter space as a conventional toaster oven. So far so good. Great price and store pick up is always quick and easy

I couldn’t give it 5 stars only because I haven’t had it long enough. But overall it has been great, meets my needs, and is a space saver with the “flip” feature. I am still experimenting with temperatures/times of various foods and haven’t tried the dehydrating yet. I’ve got to say, I really really like this Ninja 8 in 1 Flip……..it was also on sale, good price. Also, I use a liner in the roasting pan, so far makes cleaning easier

    Best Air Fry Oven!

I am in love with the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry oven! I am a previous owner of a Phillips air fryer which I really liked - but this blows that out of the water! First - lets just talk about how fast it preheats - like within seconds. Second - lets talk about how large it is. I can make a meal for my family of three in this thing. I would literally have to make batches in my last air fryer. Third - lets talk about about all the different things this thing can do...it it an air fryer, an air roaster, a broiler, a regular oven, a toaster, a dehydrator and a warmer! And it is stylish and flips up to take up less space on your counter. The first thing I made in the Foodi was a sheet pan meal with chicken and vegetables all on the same pan. Cooked at 400 for 20 minutes. It was so easy with the easiest clean up. It fits a medium size pizza perfectly. My only "compliant" is that is has an extra pan that I have to store. But that is really no big deal. This is definitely the next kitchen tool you want to purchase.

Mostly works well, but needs about an inch more interior height for some foods (baked potatoes) and you can't put much in the air fryer basket. Controls are simple to use and the upright storage is great for clearing counter tops.

Does everything I need it to do, really more of a high-quality toasterbover than and air fryer though. Then again, I own a deep fryer so it's hard to compare any air fryer to an actual fryer. Heats up very quickly, very easy to use.
