Excellent Air Fryer and Pressure Cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve always been interested in air fryers, but were never sure if they were worth it. Being able to try the Ninja Foodi I can say that, while it’s not going to completely replace a real deep fryer, it’s definitely no gimmick and if crispy food is what you are looking for this will give it to you. It’s also a capable pressure cooker. I’ll start off by saying that this thing is quite large and storing it has been a challenge for me in my kitchen. That’s not a knock against it by any means, but something to be aware of. The box includes the fryer/cooker, an 8 quart pot, a crisping basket, some wire racks, and 2 different lids; one for air frying and one for pressure cooking. The lids allow you to quickly pressure cook something, then crisp it immediately after by switching to the other lid. We’ve made a few meals in this. Initially we tried to fry some brussel sprouts and they turned out pretty good, though I think there is a bit of a learning curve getting acclimated to how this works and using it a couple more times I think we’re getting the hang of it. The included cookbook is a helpful reference. It does get very warm - my kitchen is pretty small and we ended up having to open some windows to let some cool air in. Overall, I'm impressed with this and I think we’re going to be using pretty consistently now. There are less expensive pressure cooker only or air fryer only solutions, but if you’re in the market, this does a great job as both of those things.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pressure cooker part sucks. It takes forever to preheat. The actual air frying part is awesome. Not worth the price though

An Excellent Addition To Any Kitchen
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You know you've become an adult when a new kitchen appliance makes you giddy. This has officially become my all time favorite kitchen appliannce ever! If you live in a smaller place with space a premium then this is a perfect kitchen companion. Instead of needing space for two separate appliances (air fryer and pressure cooker) then you want this Ninja Foodi. Sure, it's a bit on the large size but remember, it's got an 8 quart capacity and it's a two-in-one solution. The pluses with this are, as mentioned, two-in-one appliance, as well as a dead simple cooking solution. It will pressure cook AND crisp anything that needs it. It makes for a dandy air fryer in its own right. The advantage over an Instant Pot is the ceramic non-stick cooking pot which make clean up a breeze, especially if you use the brazing function prior to pressure cooking. An added bonus to this is that after air frying any drippings are easier to clean up. I only have one downside and that is you cannot remove the lid containing the heating element and fan for the air fryer portion. This means that when you are pressure cooking you have this rather large lid hanging out on the side which can be a bit awkward at times. It also means you'll want to make sure you're using this somewhere with good overhead clearance. It's not enough of an issue to make me love this any less than I already do, rather something you should be aware of going in. Ninja, thankfully, includes plenty of accessories that make getting started super easy. Overall, this is the best kitchen appliance around. Period.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The timer for pressure cooking doesn't work. Meat in slow cook mode comes out tough. I've been using Ninja products for a long time and hadn't been disappointed in any of them until now. Unfortunately, I can't return it because it's past the return window. The only reason I bought this is because the lid and the pot had worn out on my 3-in-1 cook system because I used it so much for years. I wish they'd bring back the original one.
