The good: flip-up saves counter space The bad: Cooking time takes the same amount as using an oven. Does not crisp as advertised. There is no advantage to getting this Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 (model FT301 )

It makes a frozen pizza taste like a freshly made one. But anything else is less than stellar. Couldn’t justify spending that amount of coin for a pizza oven so I returned it.

I'll admit I may be a little biased since I love Ninja cooking products. I have most of the collection from the coffee maker to the multi cooker and indoor grill and we use them nearly daily. The only missing piece was the convection oven. I know they call it a toaster oven, but that really undersells what this thing can do. It's much bigger than a normal toaster oven (more on that later!) so you can make full meals, bake or even fit an entire frozen pizza inside easily. As far as size, this version, like previous versions, pivots into an upright position to free up counter space when not in use. I had no problem with it fitting under my cabinets. Also, all of the included racks (A wire rack, one for air frying and a searing plate) all fit inside at the same time so you don't need to store them seperately. The searing plate is really handy. You put it in and pre-heat it with the rest of the oven. I used it on a frozen pizza that we normally make directly on the rack in the oven for a crisp crust. In the Ninja it came out much better than in the normal oven with a crust that was crispy without becoming hard or dry and with an evenly melted top. The other thing I like making in it are the frozen grocery store pretzels. I use to microwave them, but it only takes a couple minutes to heat them in the ninja and they come out perfectly with that slight crunch to the outside rather than becoming rubbery in the microwave. The Ninja heats to the required 400 degrees very quickly and then the pretzels only take a little over two minutes to be perfect. I like that once I'm done cooking and I turn off the oven the fan continues to run to cool the inside and the display will say "HOT" until it's safe to handle again. Once it stops funning I just throw the racks back inside and tip it back up. There's a removable crumb tray on the bottom for easy cooking. For messier recipes like air-frying chicken wings I would suggest putting the sear plate on the bottom to catch any drippings to make clean up much easier. My only complaint is that when tilted up it looks like a massive stainless steel monolith on the counter. It does take up quite a bit of horizontal cabinet space, so be prepared to move a few tings around to make space!

There is a saying that says if you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door. I think Ninja must have that plastered all over their headquarters as they have once again improved on their previous perfection. I have the 8-in-1 Air Fryer Oven which I love. It did things I never knew I wanted. This one takes that to a whole new level by doing things I didn't know I needed. Any functions I may not use regularly, my kids will, such as cooking their pizza. Just a note, the first time I ate all the crust on a frozen pizza was the one I cooked in this - no hard rock cardboard pizza crust this time. It is a great combination of features that really compliment each other and there is a great quick start manual with recipes to get you started. Of course, the flip-up feature is wonderful for those with counter space issues, The one thing I am disappointed about is that it is not as easy to clean as the 8-in-1 but if that is what gave me the extra capacity, I'm okay with that. This is great when you don't 'want to turn on the big oven for baking a couple of chicken breasts. It's an extra oven during those crazy holiday times. Wonderful for those who have limited counter or kitchen space. Great for a studio or dorm room. A great gift for an older person who can no longer bend to pull pans out of the oven and probably doesn't use it much anyway as they don't want to turn on something that big for their one little item. Works well for a work break room. It is so versatile that it is a great present for anyone -- something to be considered as I've had people threaten to walk off with mine they have been so impressed.

Pro: -Versatile -Flip up to save space Con: -Cleaning can be bothersome -Sear plate can get extremely hot and can burn through oven mitts -Can get smoky The oven is versatile and cooks food evenly and faster than typical methods. There’s two main modes, Dual Heat and Air Oven. Dual Heat uses the searing plate to achieve a crisp while baking, and Air Oven is the standard air frying. The searing plate gives a good char and is non-stick so it’s really easy to clean. I’ve tried frozen pizza and fish and both came out crispy and overall evenly cooked. The plate can get extremely hot and you need oven mitts that can handle higher temperature or it could burn you even through the mitts. Air Oven gives a nice light crisp to chicken wings and is great for quick toasting or reheating. It can get smoky and it’s recommended to avoid oils like olive oil. The oven does take up a good chunk of countertop space while running, but it can be flipped up for storage. The buttons and display are simple and straightforward to use. The interior is smaller than expected, and can end up being messy after cooking. Cleaning can be a chore if you’re cooking something greasy, like the chicken wings. The grease will splatter off the searing plate and get everywhere, so you have to clean all the interior which can be hard to access. Overall I think this is a nice appliance to have. It cooks faster and evenly, giving a nice crispy outside while keeping the insides moist. I like the searing since it’s easier and faster than using a pan. Oiler or marinated food will splatter and make cleaning the interior annoying. I’ll probably be using this for small quick meals.

    Makes your Conventional Oven Obsolete!

I am loving the Ninja Foodi brand of products, I have a couple other devices that are awesome and the Foodi Duel Heat Oven is right in line with the other ones. The oven is built solid, I was worried about the stand would not be sturdy when you flip it up to save room on your counter, but it seems to be doing fine. Make sure to either let it cool before flipping it up or make sure to use the handle area, it does get rather hot. There are so many things you can make with this device that it kinda makes your oven obsolete. You can Bake, Crisp, Cook pizza frozen or fresh, use it as a griddle and that doesn’t include the Air Fry functions, which are Air Fry roast, Broil, Bake, Dehydrate or Toast. I love the sear plate and with the Dual heat it makes pizza crust nice and crispy. You can also throw in a couple of chicken breast, and they come out fully cooked and just like if you would have grilled them, nothing like using a microwave. Make sure to preheat the Sear plate so your cooking will be consistent throughout the oven. I am looking forward to getting a ton of use out of the Foodi Duel Heat Oven through the holiday season. There are a lot of options and accessories for this device so make sure to use the instruction manual to get your food just right. It also comes with a quick start guide with some recipes in it, but you can also log into their website and see what other recipes owners have created and shared.

The Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 Dual Heat Air Fry Oven looks like a toaster oven, but does a lot more. In addition to reliably toasting bread and bagels, this appliance makes crisp air-fried food in the basket and even browns proteins and vegetables on the “sear plate” -- a solid metal tray that goes in the bottom rack, has its own heat source, and doubles as a griddle. There are a lot of different features packed into one relatively compact device. I’m most impressed at how quickly this oven heats up. Using similar products in the past, we’ve come to expect a long wait for pre-heating, but this oven comes to temperature fast, which really saves time. The oven feels solidly built, and the controls are easy to understand and use. The manual had helpful tips for using the various features. The flip-up feature is pretty unique and space saving in a compact kitchen. My one complaint is minor – it’s that the handle for the door is on the left side of the oven, and that’s really the only place to safely open and close the door while this appliance is in use. I’m left-handed, so I typically use my right hand to open an oven door while I use the left to put things in and take them out. With the handle way over on the left side, it’s just the slightest bit awkward. Overall, we've had this oven about a week and are already using it multiple times a day. It's a win in our kitchen.

    Great toaster oven/ convection.

I’m just glad to get rid of my big ugly Box toaster oven, the Cosori oven was great 2 1/2 years ago, but it’s time it retired. This oven is much slimmer, shinier and faster in pre-heating, like I couldn’t believe how fast it pre-heated. Literally like less than 2 minutes or about a minute and a half. My old cosori toaster oven took like 7 minutes to heat up to 450 degrees. I barely just used it, so I don’t really know what the quality will be like months or years from now. I do like the strobing light effect when you turn it on, it feels modern and upto date. It does cook food faster than the large toaster oven I had, I guess smaller surface area means faster cooking (obviously) but I’m just excited that I got something that actually works as intended and looks great. The downside to this is that the heating rods get dirty quite fast and it’s hard to clean, I would suggest a wire brush and pink stuff, then rinse it with a spray bottle and dry it off. It won’t break or short circuit obviously right? The only reason why I gave it a star less is because they demand that you preheat the searpan, like bro, it’s still heating the food….relax.

This is for the Ninja FT301 Foodi Dual Heat Air Fry Oven and wow is it great! The box arrived and I was glad to see it was in an outer box for safety. Unpacked it all, washed the wire rack, air fry basket and the sear plate. You can store all 3 layered inside the oven for convenience. They include an excellent detailed Quick Start & Inspiration Guide as well as an owners manual. Once cool thing is to save space on your counter you can flip the unit upward using the handles on both sides and it now sits in an upright position. One thing we used our old toaster oven for was making toast. First thing I had to try and it was very simple to do. You just press the AIR OVEN mode on the right side then use the round knob to scroll down to TOAST. On the left, right above the knob, you pick the number of slices and on the right is a shade number you choose. Push in the start button and it automatically sets the time and temp depending on your choice of settings. My 2 pieces of toast turned out perfect! You use the wire rack in the middle rail for this. There are other functions such as Air Fry, Air Roast, Broil, Bake, Bagel, Dehydrate or Reheat. The instruction booklet tells you which rack to use and where to place it. Because food cooks faster with Rapid Bake when you make a frozen pizza on Air Roast don't use the times noted on your pizza label. Instead of the usual 18-20 minutes it cooked my frozen pizza with cheese/mushrooms quite well in about 12 minutes. Be sure to spray the rack with a non-stick cooking spray (I use canola oil as it doesn't smoke) for an easier cleanup. I also made some chocolate chip cookies per the recipe provided and I just had to preheat the SearPlate, select Rapid Bake, temp at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Got my dough balls ready, put on the tray (12 in all), placed back in the oven and they were done wonderfully. I love the great light Ninja has added to this oven. You can watch your items cooking which is a real plus. The best thing to do is study the colorful instruction recipe book because each person has their own taste and likes. Once you get used it the settings are second nature. I have also made chicken wings and french fries. I did not try the dehydrate function but am sure it will turn your food out beautifully. Ninja truly outdid themselves with this oven. It's all stainless around the body with a black accent on front. A handle is on the left side to lower the door. Everything you choose lights up on the front. There is a removable crumb tray that made this oven an even better fit for us (so easy to keep clean). HIGHLY recommended if you are in the market for something like this. I personally can find nothing negative to say or change. It's perfect just as is from the styling to the cooking. Buy and enjoy!!!

I have been wanting this product for some time now and can say I am not disappointed at all! I really do love the way it cooks my food! From air fry to baking, to rapid cooking…. It is so versatile. I really do like the space saving design! As someone who has a very small kitchen with minimal counter space, it is wonderful to fold it away when I’m done using the oven. The user manual is very helpful to let you know the proper accessories to use for each meal, make sure to go through the quick start guide. I am someone who honestly doesn’t like to cook, but I really enjoy making meals with this Ninja Foodi oven! With so many different cooking methods, meals can be fun to make! Air fried cauliflower, frozen pizza on the seat plate, baked cookies and they all turned out perfectly thanks to the instructions included! With so many different features and functions, this replaces my oven for my small family, I actually quite enjoy using this oven everyday!

-It has a fresh updated design. -The digital controls are easy to read and navigate. -Great for cooking frozen food such as pizza, fries, chicken and vegetables -Love the oven light to check on food without losing heat. -Easy to store on it's side under a cupboard or in a pantry -The searing plate is a homerun and the best addition. These were some points I noted without going crazy explaining it's features as the box and manuals can do that. It does everything several appliances do in a nice small package and does it quicker. I will mention the sear pan again because it really is outstanding. I tried steaks, burgers and even pizza rolls and they were all cooked properly and delicious. It's a must buy if you don't already have one and a worthy upgrade to the original for the sear pan features and additional size. I also strongly suggest reading the manual as this does so much and it's amazing how many new recipe ideas can also be found online and on YouTube. Happy cooking. I was lucky enough to receive this from Ninja but I did pay full price for the original model which is also still well worth it if you don't need the searing plate as most functions are similar.

I bought this mainly for the air fry and toaster function but once I received it, and read the manual and learned about all the other settings, I have been in heaven with the Sear function. I have used it with chicken and meat already and I love that it has reduced my cooking time as I am able to cook bigger quantities as opposed to cooking on the stove top. The mess is contained and I’m able to clean faster and much easier. My teenage girls find it very easy to maneuver. Ninja, thank you for this wonderful product.
