The Ninja Foodi is a full meal deal!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja Foodi FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-qt MegaZone is one nice air fryer! I’ve found Ninja products in general are durable, innovative and perform very well. Ninja Foodi FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-qt MegaZone Ninja Foodi FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-qt MegaZone is one nice air fryer! I’ve found Ninja products in general are durable, innovative and perform very well. The Foodi is one such product. It provides a 7-qt basket for large amounts of food, but the Foodi has a removable divider if you want to cook different items requiring different temperatures or times in the divided 3.5-qt baskets. In either case, it broils, fries, roasts, bakes, reheats or dehydrates whether using the megazone (7-qt basket) or the dualzone (two 3.5-qt baskets). You can use the dualzone to cook food requiring two different cooking styles, two different temperatures or two different times, or any combination of those three things at the same time. If you use a control called Smart Finish, the Foodi will finish cooking both zones at the same time even though actual cooking time requirements of each are different – that is a very handy feature for a complete hot meal! If you need the setting synchronized in both zones, as you would for Megazone use, you can use a setting called Match Cook to easily do so. I’ve referred to several different terms above, so here they are with a little more explanation: Match Cook – using two different foods that you don’t want mixed but both cooked at the same temperature and time Megazone Cook – using the complete basket for one food or mix of foods at one temperature and one time Smart Finish – when using the divided basket with different food items requiring different ways of cooking and different times to cook but where both zones finish cooking at the same time We cooked roast, burgers, twice-baked potatoes, biscuits and a few other things that don’t come to mind right now. They turned out very good all the way around. We haven’t tried it yet, but cooking using dehydrate will bring you dehydrated vegetables or fruit as well as meat – yes, it will make jerky. Keep in mind that you don’t heat up your kitchen with the Foodi as you might using your stove. The Foodi also cools down very quickly once it turns off. The amount of sound generated by the Foodi is like the quantity of sound a microwave will make. Overall, the controls are simple and clear to use easily. Clear instructions are provided in the included Quick Start Guide. While the Guide also provides detailed charts for cooking different foods using different settings, there are two handy charts on either side of the main Foodi controls for Match Cook and Smart Finish. Cleanup is easy but remember that the larger 7-qt basket does require more space in your dishwasher than smaller air fryers. Likewise, when removing food from the basket onto your plate, with a small air fryer you can pull out the basket and simply dump the contents on a plate or two. With the larger Foodi basket you’re better off using tongs to place the food on your plate. The Foodi will easily set on your countertop while fitting under any overhead cabinets; however, since it does so much more, and providing more food if needed, it is wider than the single air fryers. But remember that this appliance is very useful every day, so you’ll want it handy for regular use. This is a very nice kitchen appliance that you’ll use regularly because it’s easy to use and so worth buying!

Mega Sized and Super Convenient!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For quite awhile we have been using a small air fryer, one that we have absolutely loved over the years. It is so nice to just throw a meal in the air fryer and have something fresh, and healthier in minutes! After being on the fence for awhile about upgrading the Ninja Foodi FlexBasket with 7qt Mega Zone came along. The thought of making even larger meals with the same ease was super appealing to us! After using the Ninja for a couple weeks I am still amazed at everything it can do! What a great replacement for the smaller unit we used for so long. The cooking are is gigantic, large enough for us to make tons of different meals for our family of four. I absolutely love chicken wings, but my wife and kids? Not huge fans. One of my favorite things to do is use the dual zones in the giant basket this thing has to cook wings for me on one side while doing grilled chicken for them on the other. Something that would take me an hour or so to do on the stove can all be done in about 20 minutes. And that includes prep time! If you are on the fence, trust me you will not be dissapointed!

Classic Ninja
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja DZ071 Foodi 6-in-1 FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-QT MegaZone & Basket Divider The name alone is a mouthful. This is yet another air fryer in Ninja’s lineup of products, it seems like everything they make turns out to be an air fryer these days. This one is a bit special in that it was actually designed to be an air fryer. And as someone using another Ninja product (OL601) as an air fryer, I was especially curious on how this would perform relative to that. The “Megazone” is such a lie – this thing can’t fit or roast a whole chicken, which is my usual air fryer benchmark of what would constitute large. I do appreciate it is a good-sized air fryer and can hold quite a bit of food, but vertically it’s lacking. Now that that’s out of the way… this is an absolutely elite air fryer for pretty much anything. I really enjoy the divider, because oftentimes you want to make frozen fries or something with your frozen protein. Having used it a couple times, the temperature control is good and turns out great when cooking at two different temperatures with the divider. Compared to my other device, the actual air frying capabilities are very similar – the food turns out pretty much the same with either. However, the basket in this device is a lot longer and spreads the food out more. In turn, it turns out a bit crispier and better when cooking large quantities of food in the air fryer. To those looking for a quality air fryer – this is it. It delivers on anything (expect a whole chicken) one could want from an air fryer. I usually enjoy Ninja products and was not disappointed with this.

Features galore!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already have a decent sized 6 qt. air fryer, but thought this might be cool to have as it is even larger. This is a larger size appliance, it’s quite rectangular in shape. It is easy to carry back and forth from the dining room adjacent to my kitchen, as I don’t have countertop space for this unit to live in the kitchen on a regular basis. This unit does so many things, I hope I can fit everything in here. We’re all interested in this appliance because it’s an air fryer, but it also air broils, roasts, bakes, heck you can even dehydrate fruits and vegetables! This unit has two halves, but it can be just one large rectangular air fryer basket. There are two crisper plates for either side of the basket. Ninja has had a similar unit with two separate baskets, but that had two separate handles also. This one has a nicer look with the horizontal pull handle. You can cook separate food items in this, one in each basket, with the divider. You can set up separate timers, and the unit will figure out when to start the one with the shorter cooking time so that both baskets are finished at the same time. Brilliant! This is the Smart Finish feature. There are so many ways to use this appliance, it’s actually mind boggling. Of course the most basic way is to just use one basket to make one item. That way isn’t the greatest, because then you have to wash the entire basket anyway. Yep, I’ve done that. For that situation, I would opt for the regular, single basket air fryer, because I have one. This would be a great addition to a smaller household, perhaps one to two people. If you want to make large batches of food, this might not be the unit for you. This is ideal for making complete meals for a few people. I’m a recent empty nest parent, so this is perfect for me and my husband when we can figure out something quick to eat and cook in this handy appliance. There are recipes in the booklet provided in the box. We made the chicken and broccoli, using the Smart Finish feature, and it was awesome! I highly recommend it. You can put the basket and the crisper plates in the dishwasher, but I didn’t, I just hand washed it, and it was easy. Once we did that recipe, it was easy to know what other types of recipes we could modify to cook in this Ninja Foodi.

lots of good with a couple bads
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We use an air fryer in our house quite a bit, they are simple, quick and efficient. I love the features of the Ninja Flexbasket on paper but I think they missed the mark on a couple things. The Ninja Flexbasket is quieter in operation than our previous air fryers, definitely a plus. Having the dual zones/Flexbasket is perfect for doing meals for 2 and having 2 separate cooking times and temps. Being able to cook meat and a veggie at the same time makes this an even more convenient cooking appliance. The smart finish, also a great feature when cooking 2 different dishes, no need to babysit the cooking and take one item out, or add an item. Just put your 2 foods in, set the time and temp individually on both, hit smart finish and walk away. Or if we are doing a large ‘batch’ of something, remove the divider, fill the full basket and use it as one large unit, the best of both worlds. When you are all done, the basket, divider and trays are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. All great points and things I like about this. The bad points that I think are missed…. The overall form factor, mainly the handle. I dont understand the reasoning behind the wrap around handle, maybe aesthetics? In reality it just makes the unit a few inches wider than it really needs to be, and with our cabinets, its too wide to fit in the door unless you shuffle it sideways. If you are keeping this on the countertop, not an issue, but if you want to store it in the cabinets you might want to see if it will fit first. The other miss, other air fryers we’ve had, have silicon feet of some sort on the bottom of the basket. When you pull the hot basket out of the unit, you can just let it sit on the counter. This Ninja Flexbasket has no heat resistant feet of any sort on the bottom, so if you set it on your counter you could burn the countertop. All in all, I was only going to give 3 stars due to the misses.. But, I understand those may only be a miss for certain use cases and overall the unit has nice features and seems to work well so I’ll go with 4 stars.

Not bad for my first time!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After seeing friends, family and neighbors purchase an air fryer, I was so excited to be able to join in on the fun after getting the Ninja Foodi FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-qt MegaZone. With a toddler, this thing has saved both me and my wife lots of time in the kitchen and has transformed her karage (Japanese fried chicken) into something much less unhealthy to eat! But what we really love about this is that it isn't limited to air frying. We've been able to use the bake feature for desserts and vegetables and we've been able to use the dehydrate feature to try to make homemade dog treats. Where this machine really stood out for us was the ability to cook two separate things simultaneously using different cooking methods, different cooking temperatures, and different cooking times. Not only that but it will even start each item at the appropriate time so everything finishes together...if you want it to. For me personally, I prefer my steak to be done a few minutes before everything else so it can rest after cooking. And with the Ninja Foodi FlexBasket Air Fryer I can also set my steak to finish first so it has time to rest...like a good steak should. At the end of the day I would highly recommend this air fryer and very much am looking forward to the next time I use it. And the next time....and the time after that...

Delicious Convenience!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 FlexBasket Air Fryer with 7-qt MegaZone for about 6 months now, and I'm absolutely in love with it! It's the most versatile and easy-to-use air fryer I've ever tried. Here are some of the things I love about it: It's huge! The 7-qt MegaZone basket is big enough to cook a whole chicken or a family-sized meal in one batch. It's flexible. The FlexBasket divider allows you to cook two different foods at the same time, with different cooking times and temperatures. This is perfect for busy weeknights when you don't have time to cook two separate meals. It's easy to use. The digital touchscreen controls are intuitive and easy to use. You can select from 6 different cooking functions: Air Fry, Air Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate. It's healthy. Air frying uses up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods, so you can enjoy your favorite foods without the guilt. I've used the Ninja Foodi to make everything from chicken nuggets and french fries to roasted vegetables and salmon. The food always turns out crispy and delicious. One of my favorite things about the Ninja Foodi is how easy it is to clean. The basket and divider are dishwasher safe, so cleanup is a breeze. Overall, I give this Air Fryer a Highly Recommend!

Multi-Use Wonder
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Foodi Flex Basket Air Fryer has truly impressed me with its versatility and performance. As a cooking enthusiast always looking for innovative kitchen appliances, I found this air fryer to be a game-changer. The air fryer has a sleek, modern design that seamlessly fits into any kitchen decor. The intuitive control panel and easy-to-read digital display make navigating cooking options a breeze. What sets this air fryer apart is its unique flex basket design. The reversible basket can be used for air frying, roasting, and dehydrating. This versatility eliminates the need for multiple kitchen appliances, saving space and money. I was pleasantly surprised by the consistent and exceptional cooking results this air fryer delivers. The hot air circulation technology ensures that dishes come out evenly cooked and delightfully crispy. Operating the fryer is a straightforward process. The pre-programmed settings take the guesswork out of cooking times and temperatures, which is a great feature for those new to air frying. Additionally, cleaning is hassle-free thanks to the basket's non-stick coating and the dishwasher-safe removable parts. The Ninja Foodi Flex Basket Air Fryer has won me over. I even removed another multi-use appliance off my counter and put this air fryer in its place.

Ninja just keeps getting better!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja has to be one of the premier air fryers manufacturers to date because of how evolved their air fryers become with every release. I remember when I had my first air fryer, and it was just a single knob! With this release of the Flex Basket with a generous 7-qt usable space makes it very versatile for everyday usage. Single serve frozen pizza here I come! Air fryers has become a staple in nearly every household kitchen now and days. So, with its dual chamber enabling one to fry two items at once or even a small to medium size whole chicken with ease. What I do like the most about the Flex Basket is how easy the controls are... with the options to air broil, air fry, roast, bake, reheat (which is my MOST used option) and dehydrate, it makes the Flex Basket truly an all in one must have in any household. It literally replaced the microwave and does a better job at reheating too! With additional stickers which tells you how long it takes to cook a certain item (which is removable btw), comes in handy, at least for me. I'm a simple guy who works a lot, so when it comes to dinner, I honestly prefer quick easy meals, and THIS helps me with that. Easy to clean too! Thanks Ninja.

Handy Air Fryer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the Ninja Foodi FlexBasket Air Fryer. I live in Arizona where it’s hot for half of the year, so I really don’t like using the oven for that time. This Ninja Air Fryer is super convenient for me and allows me to make lots of things without turning on the oven. The 7 quart FlexBasket means you can cook larger items. The basket is about 13” x 8”, so you can use baking pans smaller than those dimensions. There is also a divider that allows you to cook 2 different foods at the same time with different settings, such as chicken on 1 side and potatoes on the other. There are only 4 items that need to be washed, the basket itself, the divider, and 2 crisper plates. All of which can be washed in the dishwasher, although the manual advises that they will last longer if hand washed. I’ve had good success making chicken breast, hamburgers, bacon, and meatballs, as well as brownies and cookies. It also works great for reheating pizza. My only real complaint is that the included manual and website are lacking in information for use of Air Broil, Roast, and Reheat buttons. There’s really no information on when it’s best to use those settings rather than Air Fry or Bake. Fortunately, there are lots of other Air Fryer resources on the internet.
