Just wow. This "blender" does everything. I didn't really fully understand how capable it is until my wife started going through all of the accessories and talked about getting rid of some of our other kitchen items. I was concerned in the store because the settings knob on the display demo unit felt cheap and flimsy, but at home it seems solid. As a whole, the entire package appears to be well thought out; the product seems well made; and as an engineer I see little hints in the design that you've me hope for the the longevity of the whole appliance. Couple of examples of this: The mix motor transfers it's energy into the mix container via two output gears in the base that turn at different speeds (indicating a planetary gear reduction setup or similar inside the body of the main appliance base). The mixer pulls fresh air through from high on the back side, apparently across the electric motor, and out the sides down low. Also, this has suction cups on the bottom of the base for stability. They've put some thought into it, so hopefully my I'm right to trust them.

I used a KitchenAid blender, but it didn't mix and chop up the foods I use for my dogs. This does a great job of chopping and mixing the chicken, liver and other ingredients with the dry dog food. Has great power and doesn't big down any.

I was not expecting this to be as good as it is. I make smoothies every morning for breakfast and I couldn’t ask for a better blender in this price range. The ability to blend both in the cup like a nutribullet and in the large container is very helpful for far more than just smoothies.
