Simply Amazing Versatility
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had numerous blenders in my lifetime but none as versatile as this one. My wife and I are enjoying the versatility of the Ninja Foodi, our first use was for making smoothies. We both were amazed with this blender and how it chewed right through standard ice cubes from my fridge. Processing vegetables for soup was very simple and ended up becoming a very good meal. Reading over the manual I saw that this blender was able to do nut butters, so we bought a pound of almonds and proceeded to give it a try. After looking up a recipe and mixing all of the ingredients together, then blending with the Foodi. We ended up with a very well blended and extremely tasty, healthy butter. I will never buy another store bought butter again. There is so much that this Ninja can do, from slicing and dicing to kneading dough. It has tons of setting and attachments to use. This blender has made prep work in the kitchen fun again. I 100% recommend the Ninja Foodi!

Two in one is the way to go!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little heavy, and I wish it had a spiralizer attachment, but it makes a mean smoothy and can chop like crazy. I REALLY wanted to avoid getting TWO appliances, so the flexibility of a two in one is great and the motor power is really nice.

Great all around blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This blender set has a very nice assortment of accessories and pieces in the box and ready to use. Two different smaller blend cups (one with an stirring mechanism on the top and one without) and then the larger pitcher. Along with those items there is also a dough blender center and blade center and two food processing disk for the larger pitcher. It's a nice assortment of different items to cover most needs for a blender and even cover some food processor basics. The food processor slicer/shredder disk works very very well and makes stuff like shredding veggies and slicing stuff very easy. The dough attachment is nice in idea but from my experience it tends to leave a little raw material on the bottom of the pitcher so you have to go back and stir in manually to make sure you get everything but otherwise its super quick which is worth the tradeoff I think for stuff that otherwise would take a while to stir by hand and mix properly. The blender cups and blades for the large pitcher all work great with no issues blending plenty of frozen drinks. In most cases I've not had any issues at all with items getting stuck or the blender not pulling stuff in like it should while running and the unit has worked much better than blenders I have had in the past. As for the blender base and operation, well those work great. The programs for each type of blending process are super useful, things like the smoothie program will pulse to start then go to long blend periods which is exactly what's needed to make sure everything gets blended well. And while the base is a little loud like most blenders tend to be it's actually fairly quite for the amount of power it seems to have. I was able to blend an entire pitcher of ice very quickly and the base did not sound super loud or strained while it was at it which is a nice touch. Overall it's a nice combination of accessories and base and everything works very well.

Excellent blending system
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best feature of this all-in-one food prep system is the time and space you save in the kitchen. Being able to use just one appliance to prep your food (and quickly I might add) saves valuable space and also means less to clean up afterwards. Although most small kitchen appliances perform the same no matter the brand, this Ninja product has the convenience of doing all of it without lugging out several different appliances to make something special and/or simple in the kitchen. For reference, we are a family of four and sometimes we meal prep a week or two in advance but mostly we just cook daily. This system fit both cooking styles easily. We found it sliced, grated, chopped, and blended with excellence. The pitcher worked well for most of this, but we really enjoyed using the cup options for making small batches of pesto and fruit smoothies. Speaking of smoothies, the smoothie cup has this nifty little slider inside that kept our fruit from getting blasted to the top of the cup and thus avoiding having to stop periodically and scrape down the sides to get blended. The base unit has four little suction cups to keep the system in place while you work. The motor wasn't too loud compared to my old blender and especially my food processor. In this fancy, high-tech age, it's not a surprise that this system offers an "Auto-IQ" option where you just turn the dial to the desired task (dough, smoothie, extract, chop, spread, bowl(yogurt/sorbet)) and it will run on its own for a pre-programmed time and blade style. We couldn't find an option to adjust the timing/speed of these preset options. No worries, there is still a "Manual" option if you just want to blend or pulse the old fashion way. The manual mode offers 10 speeds, but there is only one speed when using the lid with the food chute. Apparently, depending on which container lid you put on, the Auto-IQ will only highlight what tasks it can do with that lid attached. So no trying to make dough with the feed chute. Not that we tried. *cough* Also, if you didn't attach the pitcher and click the lid properly, the system won't run. That's a nice way of avoiding a giant mess because I didn't put the lid on right. And there's also a method for avoiding improper blade assembly, you can't put the lid on if the spindle isn't sitting proper inside. On the note of the lids for the pitcher, they have a very unique locking mechanism for both lid types (solids and liquids) which securely keep the unit closed (not the whole, put-your-hand-on-the-top-and-hold-the-lid-down-while-you-blend sort of thing like old blenders with friction mounted lids. There are two blades. One is labeled on both sides (slice and shred), just face up the side you want. The second disc is just for grating. The pitcher holds 9 cups, but there are max lines for other options (like dough). The smoothie cup does not have a standard unit of measurement marked on the sides, it just has a line for 1 or 2. The other cup holds 16 oz. Side note: I was able to attach the smoothie cup to another Ninja product I own, the Ninja Nutri personal blender. Now on to the few cons we found. It would've been nice if we could fit all the blades and spindles inside the pitcher for storage. Apparently, there is a storage case you can purchase separately to hold these accessories. We use a small plastic container from the dollar store to protect and keep the pieces together. The other con is that we didn't care too much for the dough option. It works okay for more liquid bakes such as cake batter or banana bread, but I just rather use my standard mixer for thicker dough such as batches of cookies or with an actual dough hook for heavier breads. Overall, this is an excellent system to replace at least three different kitchen appliances. It's been useful for almost every food prep we needed, nice to toss everything in the dishwasher, and takes up less space in our kitchen.

Well-designed blender with many features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Ninja Foodi Blender Ultimate's included equipment is quite impressive (and there are additional parts you can buy as add-ons, from what I see on the box, for example there was a coffee grinder option). I won't rehash it here, the product description likely has a list. But we have two different types of people in the house I live in that will find it useful. One, myself, is more likely to use this for smoothies (cups) and mixed (alcoholic) frozen drinks. However, this is the first of these multi-purpose Blenders that I've tried and shown to another family member who does more of the cooking, and they found it as something that will be very useful for more food preparation purposes (for example, the slicer they thought might be interesting to try with parmesan cheese when making, maybe, a Caesar salad). However, because I'm supposed to write this review based on my own personal experience, I will limit my feedback here to what I know about using it for drinks, and what I observed of the machine's performance. Unlike another model from a different manufacturer that I tried, this one seems to have the safety features where it shouldn't turn on if it is not safe to turn on - that is majorly important in my book. When I power it on, I can see the interface design is gorgeous, The lights that light up the options (which are not visible when powered off), are of multiple intensities, where the options not selected are lit but dimmer than the brightest one which is selected. The options are presented around a circle (with spacing), which adds to the visual appeal. The countdown timer is in the center of the start button, the timer is pretty standard on recent blenders that I've tried, but it's presented well here. When I see a focus on small visual details on a product like this, it tells me they probably have long since perfected the mechanics of the device and had plenty of time in this release cycle to focus on aesthetics. I imagine this part of the review will be less interesting so I will try to keep it short. For an alcoholic frozen drink, we had some open Pina Colada mix in the fridge already when I received this, as well as a rum and whatever else we added (maybe frozen pineapple) and of course, ice. For a smoothie, I used the standard cup, added two frozen fruits, yogurt, whey powder, and water (some may prefer milk or juice), and started it, While there was a smoothie button, there was no apparent button for the frozen drink, but it was easy enough to use manual mode with pulsing as needed. In manual mode, at first it seemed weak in terms of power, but I quickly noticed that I could dial it up by turning the start button. I adjusted the speed until I heard the ice chopping quiet down, then stopped it. The drinks were fine, but the taste will have more to do with what ingredients you put in. I believe I feel confident enough to be able to recommend this blender based on my experience with it so-far.

Take Back Your Counter Space!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want to get rid of some appliances, this will help! No more blenders, food processors, “bullets”, or the like cluttering up your counter. This blender and all of its versatile attachments will do it all! Just like the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer series, this device knocks it out of the park. All of the accessories are solid. They can be dismantled, to a point, for relatively easy cleaning and they’re dishwasher safe! When we purchased this, it was to replace an aging blender out our beach condo. The goal was to have something that could crush ice for mixed drinks. This handles that task with ease, but can do so much more! From smoothies, to margaritas, to even cookies! This blender has plenty of tricks up its sleeve! I especially like the slicer for vegetables and the like. Prep time for meals is significantly cut down due to the versatility of this appliance. If you’re looking for a well-built kitchen appliance that can do almost everything, look no further. Once again, Ninja crushes it! I would HIGHLY recommend this device to friends and family!

An excellent all-in-one option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GOOD - Quiet ( for a blender ) - Food processing attachments work well - Easier to store than previous models/bundles - Blades do a good job breaking down seeds BAD - No suction cup on/off lock on base - Light on base stays on and blinks - IQ presets can complicate otherwise basic blending tasks - Includes only one normal single-serve cup TL/DR This new revision to Ninja's Power Blender increases functionality while shrinking overall size and makes it easier to store in the kitchen. It's a great all-in-one bundle that can handle all your blending and most of your food processing needs. I've used Ninja's Mega Kitchen Professional blender for many years now and have been mostly pleased with it. It's handled everything I've asked of it, but it can be pretty bulky. There's the large base, the regular pitcher and blade, the food processing/dough pitcher and its blade, and the dough hook blade. It takes a fair amount of shelf space to store it all. This newer Foodi design changes that by consolidating more functions into fewer pieces, or at least into easier to store pieces. It includes only one shorter, fatter pitcher ( but still 72 oz capacity ) for both blending and food processing. It being shorter makes it easier to fit in a cupboard if you don't have high shelf spacing. Instead of a food processing stacked blade, it comes with two special bladed discs and a drive spindle. The blender base itself is also much shorter. All in all, the whole thing takes up much less space in your pantry or cabinet. It still has the normal Ninja stacked blade unit with very sharp blades, just like the old one, except the end points are now rounded so at least it doesn't poke you. And you also get a plastic dough hook blade. I'm not sure I'd want to use it for bread dough ( the manual has a recipe for pizza dough, though ), but it works OK-ish for small batches of cookie dough. I think it's best suited for mixing cake and muffin batter, meatloaf, turkey stuffing, stuff like that. This new Foodi bundle also has more features than my older Mega Kitchen kit, despite taking up less space. Notably, the previously mentioned food processing discs. It has two discs that can shred, slice, and grate ( the shredder/slicer is a reversible disc ). The blades work best with firmer vegetables ( like carrots, potatoes, and zucchini ) and isn't too bad with slicing tomatoes. It's not to the level of a dedicated food processing unit, but it's quite satisfactory for most uses. Also like many Ninja bundles, this comes with a single-serving cup ( called the Nutrient Extractor ) and blade base for things like smoothies, protein shakes, etc. This cup is larger than the ones I had on the last model ( 24 oz instead of 18ish oz ). The blade geometry is also different and seems to do a better job at blending and breaking down seeds ( if having whole strawberry seeds in your smoothie is something that bothers you ). This particular bundle also comes with a Smoothie Bowl, which is a single-serve cup with a ratcheting spatula/scraper on the inside. It allows you to blend up much thicker shakes, smoothies, and spreads that would normally stick to the normal cup and create an air bubble around the blades. Ninja claims it also works well for making hummus and nut butter, though I haven't tried that. The downsides to the Foodi Ultimate are minor, but somewhat annoying. My biggest gripe is the suction cup mounts on the base. The Ninja Professional models have a locking lever that disengages the suction cups. This new model doesn't have anything like that so the suction cups are constantly sticking. It's great that the base is always secured to the counter, but it's a pain if you're moving the blender around ( like taking it in and out of a cabinet every morning ). The base is small enough you could just leave it on the counter all the time, except the power light constantly blinks if the unit is plugged in and not turned on. The light eventually shuts off after a while ( ten minutes perhaps ) but I'm not sure why Ninja thought it needed a blinking light when it's not in use. The base also has exhaust vents on the sides, which are pretty strong when turned on, and it can blow stuff around on your counter. And since this bundle comes with the paddle cup, it only includes one normal single-serve cup. So if you and your significant other both do breakfast protein shakes, or both want some iced lemonade in the evening, you'll want to buy an extra one. The auto-IQ blending modes are helpful in some situations, but over complicated and useless in most day-to-day blending. The IQ presets aren't just motor/blade speed, they're programmed sequences with varying blades speeds and durations. The Chop mode pulses the blade on and off for a few seconds at a time and will cycle through that pattern multiple times. So you can put some salad toppings in the pitcher, hit the button, do something else for a minute, and come back to chopped carrots and onions and not an orange paste. But modes like Smoothie that pulse on and off, and speed the blade up and down while running for over a minute are overkill when all you want is a quick 15 second burst to smash up some ice, water, and berries. There's also a lot of overlap between the presets ( I couldn't tell you the difference between Bowl and Spread, which are meant for the paddle cup ). You can flip over to manual of course, but the base will lockout some blade speeds depending on what's attached to it. I think an overall simpler selection of presets would have been a more user-friendly Overall, it's a very good package that covers just about everything for which you'd want a blender.

Louder than my 10 year old Ninja
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use blenders everyday. The ninja I had before this one lasted 10 years before it sounded like a jet engine. This ninja is actually louder than the one I got rid of b/c there are vents on 3 of the sides which allows more sound to be omitted out of the unit. I feel like I should use earplugs b/c it’s eventually going to ruin my hearing with daily use. I will say it blends a pretty smooth and delicious smoothie. But I’m going to relocate it to my basement so I can walk away when it’s blending and I don’t have to hear the atrocious noise.

Terrific blender, good food processor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review. The Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System with extra-large Smoothie Bowl Maker and Nutrient Extractor - which I'll here on out refer to as the Food Blender/Food Processor - is an excellent combination of two machines that every kitchen needs, but generally not at the same time. Ninja blenders are terrific for making drinks and soups in, as they're fast and efficient at what they do. Add a food processor to the list of functionality and you end up with a must-have unit. The only real drawback is the opening for the food processor necessitates that you cut most veggies, unlike a full-sized unit in most cases, but other than that, I can't think of a single thing wrong with my Foodi Blender/Food Processor. ------------------------------------- Unboxing/Setup: Everything is packed logically and there's a lot more in the box than you'd expect. You get a pair of smoothie/mixing cups - one that's a standard flat-bottom type and one that has a twist bottom, making it awesome to get the last of your milkshake, smoothie, or frozen beverage out of the cup. You also have the blending and mixing bowl, and several tools to use with it - the standard Ninja mixing blade (which is VERY SHARP, as in I cut my finger on it sharp), a dough blade, and the food processor tool disks and attachments. You also get the blender top and a food processor top for the blending and mixing bowl, along with a flip top, a sealed top, and a mixing top for the smoothie/mixing cups. Note that if you have other Ninja blending/mixing cups, they will be compatible with the blender attachment for the cups that comes with this unit. ------------------------------------- Usage: I love the new interface for the Foodi Blender/Food Processor. You have a dial controller, three buttons, and a nicely backlit set of displays that shows you the different modes for different tools. Time is displayed on the knob. This is an easier to use interface than previous Ninja blenders with multiple buttons. The buttons are for system power, auto/manual mode, and pulse mode. It's the cleanest and easiest to use interface I've come across on any blender outside of certain high-priced units. It has power for days. I loaded the blend/mix bowl with ice and water, and let the unit go to town. Within a minute, I had a slurry in the jar, about the consistency of snow with water in it. The food processor blades had no issues slicing potatoes and grating parmesan cheese, but I did have to make sure what I was feeding it could fit into the food processor lid. I also used it to make a batch of gluten-free monster cookies, and it had zero issues with making batter. Cleanup is easy - rinse the unit out and put it in your dishwasher. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE MIXING BLADE, as it's EXTREMELY SHARP. ------------------------------------- FInal thoughts: The Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System with extra-large Smoothie Bowl Maker and Nutrient Extractor is easily worth the price for everything you get, especially for apartment dwellers who entertain or cook for themselves often and want both a food processor and a nice blender but don't have room for separate machines. I'm happy with this unit and happily recommend it.
