The Ninja line is the best out there. I bought my wife several things and they work great and last longer than other brands.

Ninja does it again with another space saving gadget for my kitchen. The Foodi Power Mix System helps with a large bulk of the mixing and blending work for cooking, all while breaking down into compact pieces that can fit into drawer or tucked away into their box. The immersion blender is my favorite out of the two included attachments. The motor and blade design made quick work of turning frozen fruit into a slushy and then went on to tackle a thick ice cream shake in less than 30 seconds. I love my standing blender, but when I can mix and drink out of the same cup, it cuts down on cleanup. But this thing isn't just for frozen goods. When making sauce in my dutch oven, the blades were able to get motion going in the entire pot from just placing it in the center and the blender design protected the enamel surface of the pot. I still needed to move it around to break up the bigger chunks, but I was genuinely surprised by the flow it achieved. The mixer works well, and if you only need to mix the occasional baked item, this will likely replace any hand blender you currently use. I did find that the motor attachment caused it to be back heavy and that did make the mixer not as comfortable to hold for a long period of time. If the weight had been more towards where the mixer and motor meet, or if they had added counter weight to the mixer unit, it would have been a much better experience. To be fair, anyone who mixes often will probably have invested in a stand mixer instead. Cleaning took some time to figure out. The included instructions state what is not dishwasher safe, but they don't explicitly list the things that are. The motor and the mixer attachment are not dishwasher safe due to the electronics inside each piece. The mixing cup, cover, and beater attachments are safe according to the Ninja website. The blender also appears to be dishwasher safe, but the high heat will likely dull the blades quicker, and they are not replaceable, so I would only do this as a last resort. The manual recommends using a cleaning brush and I completely agree. The blades at the bottom are sharp, so a small bottle cleaning brush with help out a lot. Then just wipe the outside clean and air dry. There is a food processor attachment coming, and while the individual parts are available to buy from Ninja, I was not able to find a full kit. Given the price of replacement parts though, if you want the food processor attachment, you may want to wait to see if Ninja does a larger kit with all three attachments instead of buying this one. That said though, if you need any replacement parts, it's great that you can easily find them on the Ninja website. All in all, I give this a sold A rating. The immersion blender alone beat out the competition at this price point and the mixer was a nice addition.

I have enjoyed this product it has performed well. I have not tried making a soup yet but look forward to doing so.

The Ninja - Foodi Power Mix System 5-Speed Hand Mixer, Stick Hand Immersion Blender is a powerful hand held appliance that more than gets the job done! In testing out this Power Mix System, following are my observations: - The Power Mix System came with a power base, hand mixer and immersion blender attachments. It also came with a 3 cup blending container & lid, 2 beaters and a whisk, so it is quite versatile. - It comes with a Quick Start Guide that is easy to interpret, with color-coding for the different attachments. The diagrams and instructions make assembly and disassembly a breeze. - The controls are easy to read and use. There are 5 speeds for the Hand Mixer and 2 speeds on the Immersion Blender. - The recipe booklet included has a variety of foods, drinks and deserts. The recipe tells you which attachment to use to create the recipe. This recipe booklet is a nice addition. Not only does it give you some good ideas of things to try, but it also helps to review which attachments to use for making different kinds of foods and drinks, which also helps when deciding what to use for your own recipes. - I used the Hand Mixer to mix up a cookie batter. I chose all the speeds, including turbo. The mixer handled the thickness of the cookie dough with ease. It made a nice smooth cookie dough, with little effort. It was easy to snap the beaters in place and easy to eject them afterwards. I just did a hand wipe of the power base and hand mixer attachment when done and the beaters and whisk were dishwasher safe, so it was easy to cleanup. - I also made a smoothie with the Immersion Blender. The fruit and vegetables were frozen and I also added milk and ice cubes. The blender blended the ingredients with ease, even though they were frozen. The smoothie came out smooth and equally blended throughout. It did a better job than my blender does to make smoothies! The Immersion Blender is also dishwasher safe. The Ninja - Foodi Power Mix System is a very versatile, powerful appliance. I highly recommend it!
