I have struggled to dial this in. I jave the old model amd had no issues. Im not sure what changed but last 2 cups of a full pot are always grainy. I also miss the built in milk frother.

The Ninja coffee maker is very stylish for any kitchen with the black and stainless-steel design with a plastic water holder and a glass carafe. The size is a modest 12.32 in L x 9.13 in W x 15.08 in H and weighs 9 lbs. The system comes with a quick start guide with four decadent recipes and the owner’s guide. All are visually supported booklets with easy-to-follow directions. (Tip: Be sure to wash anything that liquids run through with soap and water and run a full carafe on classic brew cycle with water only that is dumped out before you drink anything you make. That ensures the machine is cleaned out properly.) This unit offers many options for how you want your coffee: --Brew volume - small, regular or XL cup, travel or XL travel mug, and ¼, ½ or full carafe --Temperature - Hot (classic or rich) or cold (over ice or cold brew). There is also a high-altitude calibration brew. There are charts to suggest the quantity of coffee grounds to use for the brew volume using the Ninja smart scoop, that conveniently attaches to the outside of the unit, which is great for someone unfamiliar with a Ninja coffee maker. There is a permanent mesh filter that goes into the filter holder. If you prefer, you can use a #4 paper cone filter for easy clean up. The 60-ounce removable water reservoir is easy to fill and dishwasher safe. It has auto-metering, so you know how much water you need to add based on the size you wish to brew. For those who desperately need a cup of caffeine immediately, if using the full or half carafe size, you can press the drip stop button, grab a cup, put the carafe back in, then continue the rest of the brewing cycle. There are a couple of neat options you should take into consideration when contemplating whether or not to purchase this item versus another: 1. There is a 24-hour programmable delay brew so you can schedule brewing ahead of time, so it is ready when you are. 2. With the clean function, the CLEAN light will illuminate after there is a buildup of hard water calcium. Follow the cleaning instructions in the care & maintenance section to address that. 3. The unit will automatically power off after one hour of inactivity. That way, if you forgot to turn it off in the morning when you leave for work, it will be off when you get home at the end of the day. 4. The intelligent warming plate automatically turns on for a classic or rich brew for a café size and stays on for 2 hours. You can turn off the plate after it brews as well as turn it on. You can adjust the length of time it stays on for up to 4 hours as well as the temperature (low, medium, high). While it doesn’t brew tea, cappuccino or espresso and doesn’t come with a frother or accommodate K-cup pods, it makes a mean cup of hot or cold coffee quickly and easily. While I would prefer a metal carafe, the glass one stays hot with the intelligent warming plate.
