I've read some reviews that people have been having safety issues and ive yet to encounter any. I'm guessing some people habe bought defective products, but im happy to report that this is a legitimate multipurpose blender and we use it on the daily.

What I really like about this blender is that you can remove the blade so you know you are really cleaning the blender and won't slice a finger!
