I returned one (thank you best buy for your wonderful protection plan) because it won't start unless a button on the lid sits right. It broke. Or something. It stopped turning on. It only has a couple of speeds as well

Multi blender/food processor all in one awesome!

You can make smoothies, green health drinks, and change the accessories to make fresh hummus and chop veggies .. High power motor is fantastic!

Perfect for drowning out noises

My roommate joined me and soon we smashed the tv to keep the CTE at bay. Gadoosh

My last ninja lasted me 7+ years and it only went down due to user error so I expect this one to last me at least a decade.

Not sure what to do

Then I read the reviews. Most of the 5 star reviews were from people who have been given these as a promotional offer. The one star reviews are almost all because the base breaks. I thought I would reach out to Ninja and see if they might have addressed the obvious manufacturers defect of the base breaking. After a LONG wait I connected with a customer service (LOL) rep from Ninja. This person told me they had never (?) heard of the base issue. So I have 2 choices...return them or spend more and add the Best Buy extended warranty.

They just told us they are not thrilled and would like to exchange it but I don't know why. I'm mailing them the receipt 1/6/14.
