Good overall blender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Ninja 1000 is a good overall blender, particularly in this price range. The long blade mechanism with several sets of blades attached quickly chops through everything we have put in it. Used for smoothies, it quickly converts the liquid, powder, fresh vegetables, fresh and frozen fruit, and ice into a smooth blend. Compared to blenders in this price range with a single blade set at the bottom, the Ninja does a better job of chopping and mixing. The square shape of the container does allow smaller pieces of food to "park" in the corners. For the leafy vegetables we use, the small pieces seem to be a bit larger than in a blender with a round container and single blade set at the bottom of the container. For us, the final particle size is fine either way.
