We love making smoothies! We had a 10 year old (or older) blender, so chances are anything would have been an upgrade. But this blender is able to handle an apple no problem. One second it's there, the next it's apple smoothified. It's very simple to use with its 3-speeds plus pulse. And the size is perfect for 4 full glasses!

Bought it for my wife and she just loves it. It just does what it's supposed to do and does it well.

Fruit slushies are a favorite snack and this blender does a great job turning frozen fruit into slushies with very few chunks remaining. My old blender left lots of chunks of fruit or ice. This one is amazing. Be careful when cleaning, the blades are VERY sharp.

I have to agree with the other reviewer who said it takes a bit of extra time to make a smoothie that is truly smooth due to the food being pushed against the sides. That said, I notice looking through the included recipe ideas booklet that they allow several minutes to make certain recipes, so maybe I am just impatient. The top is easy but I can imagine an elderly person may have some trouble as you do need to push pretty firmly on the locking mechanism, and on the release button as well. I like that it has a pour spout in the lid too. The blender feels really sturdy to me and I feel like it will last many years, unlike cheaper blenders I have owned. Very easy to take apart for cleaning also.

I drink 4 protein shakes a day and with this I can make all 4 at once! Ice, frozen fruit, peanut butter this thing doesn't shy away. It's awesome!

I stopped juicing because a juicer is difficult to keep clean and it could not juice too much without having to take it apart to clean it out. Also my juicer though I spent like $150 on it, could not handle a heavy work load. This Ninja blender does skins and all without an issue. 30 seconds or so and my mix is ready to drink. Ice? No problem. Fruits? Nope. Vegetables? Not at all. You won't regret this blender. One blender to rule them all.

Even though it's pricey (Costco has a better deal) its well worth it! Exciting product to use. Lots of recipe suggestions come with it. Fabulous for soups, dressings, drinks of all kinds. Terrific if yr a vegan or watching yr weight.

I am loving my ninja .. it's easy to use, and wash i'm able to do healthy drinks, smoothies etc. I suggest people buy this product they won't regret it. ;-)

We purchased the Ninja system to use as a juicer/smoothie maker. It does a great job and we use it everyday. It's solid,not too noise, mixes and blends without chunks.

buy it and you will be satisfied! 1000w of power, easy to clean.

Best blender for the $$. We went through 2 blenders in 6 months and then we found this. Its like a pretty female weightlifter......strong, well built and powers through anything!

I might be a little bias because I upgraded from a $15 blender, but this thing is incredible. I use it primarily for smoothies in the morning. It works like a dream. The triple blades turn the ice into snow instantly. It definitely earns the name ninja.

For the price it is a great deal! Blends whole fruits and ice well. I only say 'well' because emulsifiers do get the smoothies smoother, but this is fantastic for a blender in the price-range. I have only had it for a month, and I did get the replacement plan- since I have gone through two blenders in the past year.

The big question is, is this blender heat resistant? I don't want to try it before really knowing. I threw away the manual by accident and want to know if it is? But it is a very GREAT blender. Can anyone answer this PLEASE?

We've been using the Ninja to blend meal replacement shakes for the past month. It cleans up easily, blends even large amounts of ice quickly and easily. Great appliance all in all.

I was happier with the results from my $30 Osterizer. This one looked good, but it doesnt do a great job of blending everything. The motor is ultra loud, the blades make a huge mess while they're blending- like it's not a nice little whirlpool of blending going on- and ultimately the results weren't even worth the noise and price. I wish they had accessories you could buy separately, like a more traditional blade and smaller container

I have been using this blender for about several weeks now, it works amazingly, blends the food and fruit so well. Love it and the price was great as well.

Turns solid ice into powdered ice in seconds! Great for smoothies! Good as a Vitamix but at a Great Price
