Ninja Blender Burt Rubber
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit came within a couple of days. I purchased this unit based on good experience with a previous one. This one being less powerful, 1400 watts vs 1600 watts, and less features as I am primarily using it for smoothies (frozen strawberries, bananas, blueberries, protein powder, and almond milk). The first time I used it, the smoothie tasted like burnt rubber, and the unit smelled the same while blending. My thought was that I used too little liquid. The second time I used it, I used more liquid. The smoothie had a faint taste of rubber, and the unit smelled like rubber. So I called Ninja. They told me that this is normal for the first few, up to 5, uses. I will use it a few more times and see what happens, but this does not seem normal to me. It appears this unit is not powerful enough for my needs.

Quick Way to make Smoothies !
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review of the Ninja Blender Duo with Auto-IQ Model BN751. Ninja makes a ton of models all with different features and container options. It can be daunting to decide which model is best for you. This is a new model with the 72 oz main container, and 2 X 24 oz small jars sharing a separate screw on blade assembly just for the small jars. The similar Model BL641 has a 32 oz and a 24 oz for the smaller container with the 72 oz main unit. Then there is the BL 621 with 2 x 16 oz smaller containers, a 72 oz main container, and an 1100 watt motor. This BN751 is advertised as having a 1400 watt Peak Watt motor. Ironically, when you turn the motor base over, it clearly is printed as 1200 watts. The Peak power rating is most likely advertising. Are we confused yet? As far as using the device, you have to make a decision to use the main 72 oz jar or a smaller 24 oz jar using a separate blade assembly to fit the smaller jars. I tried the smaller jar for a single serve margarita. I added 3 oz (total) of mix and tequila with some ice cubes and put it on the base and used one of the Auto IQ functions (Smoothie). It starts a routine of blending then stopping for the ice and contents to drop, then repeats that routine several times. You simply let it do its thing and you can walk away as it will stop itself. The results were superb! The ice was finely chopped and the whole mixture had that light airy consistency of a bar cocktail. Using the larger 72 oz jar you need to get used to the lid. It just doesn’t pressure fit on the jar. You need to align the arrows on the lid with the arrow on the jar, hold the lid down while you move the handle down to lock the lid to the jar. It’s secure, but it takes two hands for most to complete the task. To remove the lid, there is a “release” button to allow its removal. Luckily there is a nice spout in the corner you can raise the cover on and pour out your contents. I do miss a smaller opening in the center of the lid where you can add ingredients like ice while blending. Because the lid acts as a support for the tall blade assembly that opening in the lid is not going to happen. Also if you have a really thick mixture and it won’t pour out of the spout, you will need to remove the lid and the tall blade assembly before trying to tilt the jar and pour. That can be a little messy as well as keeping your fingers away from the blades as you remove them and lay them somewhere. The lid assembly must be locked in place on the jar and the jar twist locked to the base before the unit will operate. If things are not locked or twisted correctly, the panel lights will continue to flash preventing the machine from starting, nice safety feature. It is ingenious how the motor assembly knows if you are using the large jar or a small jar on the motor. The small jars will allow the “extraction” function, while the large jar will not. Extraction is for tough, leafy, or fibrous fruits including their seeds and skins. I’m sure the smaller jar is much more conducive for that function hence that is the only way that feature will work. There are 3 speeds and a “pulse” button for basic blending. The controls are simple, easy to read, and not confusing to use. Only the Auto IQ buttons give you totally automatic control where you can set it and walk away. The unit is powerful! It sounds strong and it does make some noise mixing and pulverizing ice. The base unit has suctions cups on the bottom, and it will stick to your countertop. Good to stabilize the unit, but bad if you want to move it a few inches away as you will need to pull it off the countertop. The blender works well and is powerful. It is tall and just fits between your counter and the upper cabinets. If your upper cabinets are low, it may not fit with the tall jar installed. I like the easy to read controls. I miss the ability to add ingredients or ice through the lid. The locking lid can be confusing and must be installed and locked correctly, if your dexterity is poor you may have some trouble. Also when running the blender I noticed an odor like an electrical smell from the motor. Nothing serious, but something I haven't noticed from my other blenders. I found the easiest way to clean the jar is to add some warm water and a drop or two of dish soap. Then start a auto cycle. It will do a great job of cleaning the jar, then just rinse and dry. All in all this is a good blender and smoothie maker. I would recommend it to a friend but just can’t give it a full 5 stars, I give it 4 stars.

Best Blender
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my wife because the other one we purchased from Amazon kicked the bucket so instead of risking another disaster on Amazon I decided to go to my local Best Buy and give them my business. Any my wife loves her new appliance, she’s made a couple of smoothies, green vegetable juice with ginger and turmeric some other secret potion that’s good for our health and to top it off some keto friendly ice cream which was very delicious.
