||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to by all my electronics from best buy with their warranty and when something break down i went to their location in Princeton NJ and the manager wanted me to get the newer model and pay for the difference since they doesn't have that model anymore she was so rude, unprofessional, and helpless. Why i would buy a prodcut with extended warranty if ylthey can't fix it or replace it and I will have to pay more to replace it. Very disappointed and absolutely NOT RECOMMENDING BEST BUY TO ANYONE.

Auto-IQ is magic
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently replaced my older Vitamix blender with the Ninja Professional Plus Blender DUO with Auto-IQ. In the box you get a sleek looking blender base, a 72 ounce pitcher with blade and top, and two 24 ounce single serve cups with two lids and blade set up specific to the single serve cups. I was quite impressed getting the two single serve cups in the package, it’s a small thing for Ninja to add but it feels like a great value. The base has a smaller footprint, and height-wise, the base with the pitcher and the lid is a little bit smaller than the blender I replaced. When you have a small kitchen, every little cm counts. On the base, design wise, there are two small things that the Ninja has that I haven’t seen on a blender I owned. The first is a built in place to wrap the power cord when on in use. This is a small thing, but again it’s a nice touch. The second thing is suction cups on the bottom of the base. While I like them when I’m using the blender, to keep it from vibrating off the counter, the second I’m done I wish they weren’t there. They make it harder to pickup or ideally just slide the blender into its storage place on my counter. A couple other things I am a fan of are that the pitcher locks into place on the base, so you know that it is always on correctly, and the lid locks into place on the pitcher, so you know that it won’t go flying off while in use. If you read the box, you’ll read that this Ninja is 20% faster and 30% more functional than previous models. I can’t comment on those specific stats. What I can comment on is that I can mix the ingredients I want in the blender, lock the blender in place, lock the lid in place, push the smoothie button and the Auto-IQ does the rest. This is fantastic. You can hear the blender starting/stopping and changing speeds as it does its thing. It turns off automatically when complete. With my previous blender, you had to start slow and change speeds manually as you watched. Sometimes (almost always) you had to use something to push ice back down to the bottom where the blades were located. The design on the placement of the blades throughout the pitcher on the Ninja probably allow Auto-IQ to work its magic. One use and you’ll call it magic too. Your drink is perfectly blended, even with the single serve cup About the only real complaint I have is that this blender is loud, just like every other blender I’ve ever seen, so I can’t really complain too much about it. Overall, if you need a blender, the Ninja Professional Plus Blender DUO with Auto-IQ is a great addition to your kitchen.

Died after a year
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked well for the first year, then the motor started smoking right after the warranty was up, rendering it unusable and can’t replace the motor for cheaper than just buying a new blender.

Best blender ever
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely amazing how shredded ice cubes can get in this. It can turn ice into the softest snow. Seems industrial strength without the industrial size. Very excited for margaritas this summer! Smoothies are a perfect breeze. You can make a single portion with the shaker size cup blender attachment or make enough for a party in the full size blender. The lid also locks down really snug and doesn’t leak the slightest. I will say the blending in the single portion shaker cup is loud and sounds like a power tool which I think is fine because it’s that powerful. There are several different speeds and the auto IQ modes are just one touch and let the blender do its job. It’s really quite fantastic. Very excited for summer margaritas and snow cones and will have my healthy smoothies till then!

More than Capable Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This past Christmas, I was introduced to the Ninja lineup by being gifted a Ninja Food Processor. It has been in frequent rotation for our kitchen and I have not yet found a recipe it cannot handle. But this review is not about that food processor, it is about a blender that I expected to be just as much of a powerhouse as the food processor. Let me tell you, this Ninja Duo did not disappoint. Out of the box, from all appearances, it is a blender. It might not have the 12 buttons and a switch that the blenders of old had, but nobody used half of those anyway. The unit itself has a very ‘modern’ feel to it - the case is a dusted dark gray plastic meant to look like a metal. Its control pad has helpful lights to tell you what mode you can currently run (more on that later) and the case has a convenient cord wrap built into the back of it. In the box, you get a plastic blender pitcher, two single-serve plastic cups, two travel lids for said cups, and a blending blade for them. These single-serve cups are possibly the best addition to the package; we love making breakfast smoothies. Until this arrived, we were using a Magic Bullet - while it works, it always felt a bit underpowered for everything. This blender and the cups provided beat it in every way as Ninja provided exceptional attention to detail. Never do we need to remove the cups to see if things are properly blended or if they need a shake, the travel lids screw to the inside of the cup becoming flush with the edge of the cup, meaning you don’t have some kind of awkward edge to get the contents over. There is only one problem with them - they are significantly larger than the previous cups and are thus trivially easier to get into a situation where you make too much. The self-serve cups also operate on a different gearing ratio than the normal blender - it spins significantly faster; I would guess as a result of only having a single blade at the bottom of the cup versus blades spaced throughout. For the standard blender pitcher, Ninja kept at their attention to detail throughout the product. The pitcher is large and flat-bottomed, yet somehow the blades have no problem reaching every bit of the pitcher. In testing, the only time we had to move ingredients around was when they were slightly too solid to be in a blender on their own without liquid helping. The lid locks to the container and has a pop-up handle that acts as the locking mechanism - further, the locking mechanism is connected to the base through the pitcher. Releasing the lock immediately shuts off the blender - Ninja will not be sponsoring any of those stereotypical spouting blender accidents with the Duo. As mentioned earlier, the standard blender cup and the single serve cups each have different blade configurations - configurations that Ninja has created special modes for. While the pitcher is attached, the blender can run every mode _but_ extraction. When the single serve cups are attached, the blender will run in every mode. This is due to the blade in the single serve cup (allegedly) being designed to be an extractor in addition to a blending blade. Ninja might have had an exquisite attention to detail while designing this product, but they did miss some things that I wish they had not. They largely come from the blender pitcher itself. First off, it is not glass. Ninja has said in their instruction manual that it is BPA free, but I would have really appreciated this touch (in their defense, higher grade, more expensive blenders do not include glass either). The pitcher also has a very odd eddie pattern about two inches up on the left corner of every side. It appears to be a result of the blade design combined with the square shape of the pitcher. Whatever causes it, the result is that sometimes you can have an inconsistent blend if you are running the blender on a “steady” power level. The fix for this problem is easy - don’t run the blender straight; pulse it on or off to help some ingredients settle. To top off the pitcher, the lid has a few quirks that I wish it didn’t have. The top of the lid is spring loaded and covered with holes in it. Meaning when you wash it, unless stored correctly to dry, you can find that there has been water sitting unreachable, inside the lid for a substantial amount of time. Further, you can’t close the handle unless it is on the pitcher (the same springs have locking nubs that won’t retract unless the pitcher is blocking them from engaging). Some things that could be considered value adds to new Ninja owners: • The included recipe book has a max of good and bad recipes. We particularly liked the broccoli cheddar soup recipe and were not huge fans of the mousse. • While the entire unit claims to be dishwasher safe, do not place the single-serving blade in the dishwasher. The gear that contacts the motor is all rubber and the dishwashing detergent will stick to it, leaving a white film.

Great Ninja Product. Go Ahead and Get It.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I love Ninja products. This Ninja Professional Plus Blender Duo with Auto-IQ is an upgrade from the one I have from 6 ½ years ago. Like any blender, it has a base, pitcher, lid, power cord, blade. This one has 2 extra single sized cups, perfect for smoothies. The single sized cup has a lid with a drinking spout that has a cover. The Ninja comes with two blades – the big one for the pitcher, which you insert from the top; and a small one for the single sized cups, which you twist on (like a cover). The lid to the pitcher locks on to the pitcher. Also, the lid has a spout that you can lift up to pour stuff out without taking off the whole lid. And the base has suctions to keep it in place. This Ninja has preset settings and manual settings. The presets are Smoothie, Ice Crush, Extract. The manual settings are Low, Medium, High, Pulse. The presets take care of the time for you, it starts when you hit it and stops when it knows to stop; you just push it and let it worry from there. By the way, you can stop the preset if you choose. You are not bound to its time. The manual settings act exactly how you think they would act (like a blender); you control it. This blender really does do everything well. It does a great job with smoothies. It crushes the mess out of ice – actually pretty impressive. It’s easy to set up, use and clean. And obviously ALWAYS BE CAREFUL OF THE BLADES. I highly recommend this Ninja Professional Plus Blender Duo with Auto-IQ. Go get it!
