This is the perfect companion during times of quarantine. This Ninja blender can do it all. The whole family has benefited from this Ninja. My wife and I have enjoyed making adult drinks as this blender does a marvelous job of crushing ice. To support our health kick, we have also enjoyed making healthy smoothies. The kids' favorite option is the ice cream button. If you have the right ingredients, the ice cream this Ninja turns out is pretty good with great consistency. There are 2 things that really stand out about this Ninja. Number one is price: You will not find a better blender for under one hundred bucks. Second, it is so easy to use: You pick out your desired result: ice crush, smoothie or ice cream and within minutes you have them. I have other Ninja products and they all have been quality appliances and I have no doubt that this blender will also do the same. If you are in the market for a powerful, inexpensive, easy to use blender, you need to consider this Ninja blender.

I thought this blender was great until I realized there's a lot of chunks of veg left in my smoothies. It's always chunks of spinach or kale in the entire smoothie and then it does this separation thing if I take too long to drink it where the bottom is liquidy and the top is thick with pulp. I have to shake it up just to drink it and it's always so thick and never creamy and smooth. I wish I would've used it in time to return in.

This Ninja blender is called "Professional Plus" and comes with something called AutoIQ. I wasn't sure what that is, but now I am using it and have seen it in action I am IN LOVE. This is a set and forget blender, if you want to make a smoothie or ice crush, you just hit the dedicated button and the blender does all the blending, pulsing, etc. automatically with the right timing. Both my partner and I have been making morning smoothies without thinking about it. Throw in the ingredients, hit the button, and go. I will talk about the Ice Cream button later... The 72oz blender container is more than big enough. I have been making strawberry and banana smoothies (with ice) and oat milk. No issue at all. I actually am using the blender to make homemade Oat Milk in the mornings (1 cup of Oats, 4 cups of water, strain the mush). Then next step is the smoothie and Yes, the Ninja Blender has no problem blending and crushing ice. The motor is 1400Watts in case you're wondering. One of the things I love about the Ninja is its suction feet. This anchors the Ninja to your counter. Personally, I love this because I have had blenders in the past that "buzz and move" on the counter but this hasn't been a problem with the Ninja. Cleaning, I have thrown all the parts (not the motor obviously) in the dishwasher and it comes out clean. BTW, did you know you can use a blender to make ice cream? I was confused by the Ice Cream button on the Ninja and didn't realize until I read the recipes that came with the Ninja. You still have to freeze the mixture, but if anything, it shows the chop and mix action makes the Ninja closer to the capability of a food processor than a standard blender. Finally, you can use this to prep soup. I haven't done this yet but that will be my next test. I have been inspired by the included recipe book. I just want to point out because it seems helpful, the blender should not be used for hot ingredients.

The blender does not chop ice very well and after only a month the piece on the bottom of the pitcher (turner) burned out and I was told I had to order a new pitcher for $60. I felt like this was a waste.

I had to take this back. The blade moved too much and cut into the pitcher. The bottom of the pitcher began warp. My blender may have just been defective. I would recommend getting the Best Buy warranty on any product, you never know.

Over the years, I've heard a lot about Ninja brand blenders, but always thought my el-cheapo counter top blender was good enough. Now having used the Ninja Professional for about two weeks, I really should have upgraded sooner. After three uses of the Ninja, the el-cheapo went in the garage sale pile and the Ninja took its place.. First, I'll talk about some of the features of the blender that might not be noticed on first glance, and then I'll talk about using the blender for several different recipes. The positive locking lid and snap lock pouring spout are two outstanding features of this blender. There is no question if these are closed fully or not--in fact, the blender will not operate if the lid is not fully locked. The blender also has very strong suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place while blending. Even on the highest power, you can push the button and let it run without having to hold down the lid or prevent the blender from hopping across the counter. On our granite counters, the strength of these suction cups was incredibly strong--almost too much. It was difficult at times to get the blender to release from the counter. One feature we found that was not in the book was auto turn-off after one minute of blending. The book talks about turning off to prevent overheating, but no matter what the setting (high, medium, or low), the blender turns off after exactly one minute and will start up again when the blend button is pressed again. This is actually a really nice feature because several recipes call for blending for one minute at a time. My family uses blenders for many reasons, as we make most of our own food from scratch. The first trial of this blender was a raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing with simple ingredients of fresh raspberries, virgin olive oil, vinegar, and other granular spices. This recipe only filled the blender to about 1/8 capacity. We found running the blender on low did a better job than on high, even though the recipe called for high. The high setting just flung everything to the sides of the blender, while the low setting kept the ingredients closer to the blades. With a larger amount, high probably would have been fine. Overall, a good job on this recipe. Next up was a fruit smoothie with AutoIQ. Frozen peaches and strawberries with ice, apple juice, and a little bit of honey. We were making four servings, so the blender was 7/8 full. The Auto IQ blended at different speeds throughout the cycle, and the result was a perfectly blended refreshing drink. Well done! The last recipe was the true test--coconut concentrate. This recipe uses coconut flakes and coconut oil, and is a very dry mixture that is blended until liquefied. Normally, we do this in a food processor because there is no way a blender can handle this. Even the recipe books say this is a tough blender job and warns of overheating. After 6 one-minute runs on high, the job was done and the mixture was perfect--and no overheating. Very impressive! Cleaning the unit is a breeze. The lid, blender carafe and blades are separate and come apart easily. There are no hidden nooks and crannies like in other blenders, and everything is dishwasher safe. What a wonderful feature. Overall, I would highly recommend this blender.

Doesn't really work well for soups. I think it's because the blades are not at the bottom. I wouldn't buy this again.

I was very impressed after using the Ninja – Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ just once. The initial draw for me was the subtly stylish grey/black color scheme that complimented my other kitchen appliances. Next was the amount of ingredients (64ozmax) that the 72oz pitcher could hold. The 1400 watts of power and the triple stacked blades (Beware! These are sharp like knives!) Impressively power through ice and frozen fruits and vegetables with minimal effort. The blades provided a thorough blending of the ingredients without the need to scrape down the sides or bring the contents of the bottom of the pitcher to the top. This unit also effortlessly pulverized ice into what could easily be used to make SnoCones. The handle on the pitcher has a solid feel and you are able to pour the contents by flipping up the cover on the pour spout without having to remove the lid. The suction cup feet kept the entire unit stationary-I didn’t have to hold the unit in place to keep it from “walking” across the counter when in use. This unit has numerous safety features built in. The blender won’t run unless the pitcher is snapped completely into the base. It won’t run if the lid isn't completely closed, sealed, and locked in place-thus preventing huge messes. The blender also automatically turns off after one minute of use, preventing overheating. Clean up is a breeze. Both the pitcher and the blades are advertised to be “top rack dishwasher safe” but I'm not a fan of what some dishwashers do to plastic containers over time. I opt to hand wash and air-dry both parts separately. I have made smoothies, milkshakes, and salsa so far but I ‘m looking forward to blending up some ready-to-freeze ice cream in the near future. There are many delicious recipes for soups, smoothies, and other frozen treats included in the included Recipe Inspiration Guide. For a midlevel blender the Ninja gives a powerful performance that's hard to match. I can definitely see this becoming my go-to housewarming gift.

Shark puts out a great product, and this Ninja blender is no exception. Right out of the box, you know it is made of high quality materials. It does not feel flimsy at all. The base and pitcher are very sturdy. It is simple to set up and take apart to clean. This blender does not disappoint. I've used blenders in the past that leave chunks after blending but this doesn't. It has two levels of blades that catch and destroy any and all in its path. It's very powerful, stating it has 1400 peak watts and it seems to be on point. There are also some preset blend options for frozen drinks, smoothies and ice cream.

My teenage daughter loves to make smoothies. Lots of them. So many, in fact, I decided to get her a machine of her own that she could use to her heart's content...and leave my blender alone so I might be able to use it to cook a meal or two! The Ninja Professional Plus has been amazing all the way around. Having already had several other of their products in my kitchen, I was pretty confident the build quality would be good and Ninja has again lived up to their name. The blender is solid, heavy, and powerful. The multi-tiered blades make short work of frozen fruits and the hardest ice to make what my daughter describes as a fantastic smoothie. She swears the Ninja made ones rival those she gets from our neighborhood smoothie shop. The flip-up pour spout built into the lid is a neat feature that I didn't think much of at first, but after a couple of uses it has made a big difference in the amount of mess that hits (or rather doesn't hit) my counter tops! Clean up of the machine is simplified by the removable blades. While it's not as full featured as my other Ninja blender, it isn't supposed to be. It packs plenty of power and the AutoIQ buttons take the guesswork out of whatever you decide to make. I'm impressed again by Ninja.
