I'm a big smoothie fan and it's become a little bit of an expensive habit for me so to try to save some money, I wanted to start making smoothies at home. My 6 year old, $17 Walmart blender decided that it didn't want to work anymore so that led me to buy this one. SO. MUCH. BETTER. Honestly, the blender kind of speaks for itself. It works perfectly and functions extremely well. There are multiple options for consistency preference. It has no trouble blending ice, whole fruit or anything like that. Very easy to use and understand. The only negative thing I have to say about this blender is be VERY careful when cleaning it and the blade in it. It's extremely sharp. The first time I washed it, I cut my finger pretty bad not realizing how sharp it really was. Otherwise, it's a very affordable blender to use for at home and it seems like it'll last a long time!

    Pitcher Broke After 14 Uses

The pitcher is cheap brittle plastic, cracked in the center base within four months, I never dropped it and always hand washed it. A replacement pitcher costs as much as the blender itself.

Just received my Ninja Professional Plus Blender this weekend and I am loving it. I've used other Ninja blenders in the past (that were more expensive), but this one just seems right. It does everything I need it to do and so much more, Inside the box comes the 72oz Total Crushing Pitcher, the motor base, and the Pitcher Lid (which has a very clever locking mechanism). Also inside is the usual user documentation and instruction manual. They also included a recipe booklet with everything from smoothies and shakes to salsas and soups. Over the last few days I've been mainly using it as my new blender for my morning protein shakes. And it has worked flawlessly. A couple of my favorite features of this blender is the fact that the pitcher can only be placed in 2 different spots of the motor base. That's the front left and right corners of the base. And they lock into place. I imagine this is for those that are left handed or right handed. I could be wrong but it works great for me. My other favorite feature is as I stated above is the locking lid. No longer do you have to stand there holding your lid on the pitcher afraid its gonna come flying off. The lid actually has a release but that allows you to lift up on the handle to take the lid off. In addition to this the lid also has a spout that you can lift to pour when you take the pitcher off the base instead of having to remove the lid. Side Note: the side must be on the pitcher in order for the handle to go back down. On the motor base there's 7 different functions which are pretty self explanatory: Top Row: SMOOTHIE - ICE CRUSH - ICE CREAM Bottom Row: LOW - MEDIUM - HIGH - PULSE I have tried every function, but have used the SMOOTHIE setting the most so far for my morning protein shakes. All in all I love this blender as it does just as its supposed to and it doesn't really cost a whole lot. I recommend anyone looking for a great blender.

    Great Frozen Drink Maker

This a better blender then the price would have you think. It is much more powerful then it looks, it can make smoothies for 4 people with its 72oz large capacity pitcher. Some blenders have a hard time with Ice, but this Ninja and its 1400 watts of power, can handle the job with ease. You have preset buttons that know if you want a Smoothie or even Ice cream. I believe one of the best-frozen drink blenders on the market, and it's hard to find a better blender for less than $100.00.

Ninja - Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ - Gray is a great addition to any home or professional kitchen for those who are ready for a quick smoothie to start their day or for those seeking a blender that works as hard as you do in the kitchen. Having been a avid fan of a competing brand and loving their blender for the various uses I have for it, I was skeptical of this product as a replacement in my kitchen. The Ninja performed extremely well and the extra large container made my tasks easy to accomplish. Over 72 oz of capacity seemed overkill, but was useful and not oversized. To but the Ninja to the test, I diverted from the norm of smoothie making to but it through the trial of making homemade salsa. My experience shows that most blenders over work the ingredients and add much unneeded air in the mixture. The Ninja's Pulse setting was perfect and after one batch trial and error, the mix came out perfectly without the added air. I loaded the Ninja down with 3 pint jars of ingredients as apposed to my normal one per blend... No problem! The Ninja took it in stride and made a perfect salsa for 3 jars. My only concern for this unit is that I am a fan of glass compared to plastic. Glass does not retain smell (such as peppers and onions) where as plastics can hold on to the smells, even after washing. PROS - Ninja brand and quality - 1400w power(ful) handles anything you throw at it - Multiple settings and IQ features assist in the perfect blend for any need - 72 oz cup is huge but not unmanageable or cumbersome - Dishwasher safe for all necessary parts - Lock and seal top, with easy pour spout makes use a breeze - 3 parts (removeable) makes clean up easy CONS - Plastic cup is a long-term concern for odd retention. I still had pepper and onion smell after the first wash, but it was gone after the second.

There’s nothing this thing won’t blend. Just set it and forget it. Clean up is a breeze. Won’t cut your fingers trying to clean it like other traditional blenders. A++ would recommend. Only thing is there are on the go cup attachments for this model at the moment. I hope they make some for the future.

“Not my mama’s blender!” was what my wife said after I unboxed the Ninja BN700. It had been several years since we had a blender in house, and the first thing that struck her as innovative was the tower of blades which needed to be inserted into the pitcher versus her old blenders with the blades attached to the bottom of the pitcher. Next was the generous size of the pitcher, great for a family or party. Once she read the instruction booklet and watched YouTube demonstrations of the Ninja, she was ready to give the Ninja her blender test: Impossible Coconut Pie, a recipe which calls for all ingredients including a stick of butter to be put into the pitcher and blended. In less than a minute all ingredients were ready to be easily poured into the pie plate. It passed her pie test, and she is looking forward to making ice cream next, and I see smoothies in our future. We also have an Instant Pot which I often use to prepare stews and soups. I frequently view preparing food as an occasion for experimentation. I had recently made a hearty beef stew and decided to see if I could convert some of the left- overs to soup. After reading the instructions and making note that I could not put hot liquids in the BN700, I just warmed the ingredients stovetop a bit to take the refrigerator chill off then put it in the blender. I pulsed the stew a few times to reduce the chunks to “soup” size, put the mixture in a 3-qt sauce pan, added some water and beef stock, brought it to a simmer, added a little pearl barley and within 30 minutes had a splendid beef barley soup. If we had children at home, we would probably not have this type of blender because of the removable blades. Even for adults, care must be taken when handling the blade stem. That seems to be the only drawback to this machine. The BN700 did all we asked of in these initial tests. I caution though that the blender is great for (large) families and for party givers. For a couple with no live-ins, it is probably not the most practical counter-top appliance.

The Ninja Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ is a powerhouse of a blender. With it's blade tree (3 levels of blades), it handles anything you throw at it. Per my kid's request, the first thing we tried with the blender is crushed ice for snow cones. After filling up the pitcher with ice (the pitcher is 72 ounces so it holds a lot), we pressed the preset Ice Crush preset and jumped when the blender started chopping. It was loud as the ice started being pulverized and then quietened down as the ice turned very fine, almost like snow. I never would have expected a blender to truly make shaved ice, but the Ninja did without fail. Since using it for shaved ice, we have used it almost daily to make smoothies. We throw the ingredients into the blender (frozen fruit, ice, milk, etc), hit the smoothie pre-set and less than a minute later, we have a delicious smoothie. With a locking pitcher and lid, you can rest assured that whatever you are blending stays in where it is supposed to. And clean-up is a breeze with the lid, pitcher, and blades all dishwasher safe. Highly recommend this Ninja Plus blender.

When you choose an operation it is programmed to go through a specific sequence of steps. These are noticeably separate to accomplish the specified objective. The result seems good. The only undesirable feature is that the operation is quite noisy.

Counter space in my kitchen is a hot commodity so my husband was weary when I brought home a new appliance... we both love it though! This thing is so quick and easy and I don’t feel like I may lose a digit when cleaning it out (unlike our old blender). I cannot wait to try some more recipes and really get creative; we’ve been enjoying smoothies each afternoon while our kids play and here pretty soon we’ll likely be putting some rum in there too!

This is by far the best blender that I have owned. It does a get job with everything I have thrown at it both frozen and fresh. Enough power to cherish hard frozen item with ease. The additional features like locking top and the pour feature are very nice upgrades. If I had to pick one area of improve it would be the preprogrammed choice didn’t work as well as I would of like however a simple pulse a few times always took carE of it
