Plastic Pitcher Cracks, Ninja Doesn't Warrant It

I had this blender several months and used it maybe 20 times. I lifted it off the base and saw liquid on the base. When I looked at the bottom of the blender, there was a crack across the bottom. I contacted Ninja and was told that their warranty does not cover the pitcher. The blender was never dropped or misused. For this, I could have bought a $30 one with a glass pitcher and not had this issue. Never again will I buy a plastic blender.

This Ninja Blender is a really nice piece of equipment! It has 3 functions including: Smoothie, Ice Crush, and Ice Cream. Additionally, you can set it to blend on Low, Medium, or High or on Pulse. This blender really shines when it comes to blending/crushing ice and frozen ingredients. On blenders that have a blade at the very bottom of the pitcher, it can really be a struggle to crush and blend ice. This blender does a phenomenal job at crushing/blending ice and frozen ingredients and does so quickly and easily. I used this blender to make a mango and yogurt smoothie with ice and it turned out great. With the frozen mango and ice added, it turned out like a very smooth and delicious ice cream using the smoothie function. It was very creamy and delicious. There were a few small pieces of ice in it, but for the most part it all blended together really well. I have not tested the Ice Crush and Ice Cream functions, but I would expect them to work great just like the smoothie function. The design of the blender is great. It is stylish and seems to be well-designed. It has a piece in the back for wrapping the power cord around for storage and the lid has a feature where it locks onto the pitcher to ensure it stays in place. It is also very easy to remove the lid with a simple release button. Additionally, there is a spout with a cover on the lid which allows you to pour the contents out without removing the lid. The bottom of the blender has suction cups that help it hold onto a counter while blending. The blade in the blender can be pulled right out which makes cleaning the pitcher a breeze without having to worry about getting cut while cleaning it. Overall, this feels like a well-designed product and the parts seem to be sturdy and of good quality. There are a few things I think this blender could do better. The gear on the blender which connects to the pitcher and spins the blade is made of plastic. While it seems to be a very hard and sturdy plastic, it would be nice if these blenders used more metal components for better durability. Additionally, it uses a simple 2-prong plug rather than a higher quality 3-prong plug. That being said, I think this is still a pretty well made unit, but it could have higher quality parts. Considering the price of this blender, I would say the parts are of good quality and definitely meet my expectations. I would have liked to see a cleaning brush included with this blender. The blade has a great design where the blades are spread out to allow for easy cleaning, but unfortunately, I did not get any sort of brush with this blender to clean the blade with. Since it is a sharp blade, it would have really helped to have had a cleaning brush included. That being said, the manual does say the parts like the blade are top-rack dishwasher safe, so that is a convenient way to clean the components. While this blender does an awesome job with making smoothies and ice creams, there is one area where it really struggles and thus I took off 1 star. It does not blend greens that well. I tried two different smoothies, one with lettuce, and one with spinach, and I did not feel like the blade blended them well. I didn't like the consistency of what turned out and the greens just didn't get blended enough for a smooth and creamy texture. If you plan to blend a lot of green smoothies, I would advise going with a blender that has a blade at the bottom rather than this tall blade. This blade design is perfect for soft and frozen fruits, yogurt, ice, powders, etc but I will not be using it with greens or at least not a lot of greens. I did not test it with nuts, but I would imagine that it would not blend nuts as finely as a blender with a standard blade at the bottom. The mango smoothie I made was delicious, it had a wonderful, creamy texture and turned out great. As long as you are using ingredients that work well with this blender, it does a phenomenal job. If you want to make ice creams or anything that involves crushing ice, this blender really shines with that and does an awesome job. I have found that blenders that have a standard blade at the very bottom struggle with frozen ingredients and ice, so that is what this blender really does well with. Overall, really happy with this blender. There are certain things I wouldn't use it for, but overall I really enjoyed the smoothies it made and the mango ice cream smoothie that I made was delicious. Not too sweet, very light, creamy, and absolutely delicious. So much healthier than regular ice cream, which I did not miss it one bit! I have included pictures of the mango smoothie that I made in this review so you can see how it turned out.

So after receiving a box in a box in a box, I got to the sweet blender that was hidden inside. Upon opening I found everything super easy to "assemble" if you call it that. To start off, I got a bunch of ice cubes and decided to see how well it could make crushed ice. I was not disappointed. The Ninja I could tell was mocking me, like "That's it?". I mean in isolation I didn't have much to throw at it without going to the store. Then I decided, let's make a smoothie. I grabbed a bunch of stuff out of the fridge, opened google and attempted to see what I could make with what I had. Dear lord, the Ninja has no problems slicing, dicing, chopping, mixing and whatever other terms comes into your head with ANYTHING. It does it job and it does it D*@M WELL. It's supposed to eat up anything and spit it right back at you. The design is just as you would expect from a blender. The oversized handle is perfect for large hands like myself and comfortable. Clean up is a breeze. Makes little to no (more on the no side) mess and the pitcher is easy to clean.

This thing is a beast. My first blender. I really researched a long time. Compared to a vitamix which is basically top of the line blender, this Ninja hold up very well for way less money. I use it for smoothies, I throw in frozen bananas, lot of other frozen stuff lol..carrots, vegetables.. nuts.. this thing blends it very well together in like a minute. I love the iQ button, it takes the guessing out what setting to choose. You can still choose a setting for the type of smoothie or soup you are going to make, but so far I've only used the iQ button and it always gets the job done. It also has a clean feature, very handy. It's loud.. but duh.. it's blender. The only thing that would've been nice is if it had a glass canister, it's a minor thing. For the money you get a world class product that holds up very well against "professional" ones, I'd say this one is professional to me. Had it for over year, still works like it's new.

    Affordable Powerhouse Professional blender

Ninja Professional blender with Auto-iQ is a powerful blender that serves all our needs for blending fruits and vegetables to delicious smoothies/ice cream. The power of 1400W motor combined with three sharp blades crushes the ice cubes, vegetables, fruits or anything you throw in blends well. For the price range of less than $100, this blender uses the Auto-iQ technology like high end models. This feature is an intelligent preset program that combines blending and pausing patterns and senses the duration to run and pause. With Auto-iQ, the machine does the work for you to make the perfect smoothie every time without any guess work. It has also got 3 speeds separate button. Low, Medium and High when you don’t want to use the Auto-iQ option. You cannot choose the auto-iQ option when you operate at any of the 3 speeds as it doesn’t work together. It has also got a Pulse option where it operates only when you push the button. It does have long and short pulse depending on the press pressure. Great machine for making smoothie, ice cream and juices. With 72oz pitcher it’s a great addition for family size or making larger batches of smoothies with ease. Pitcher is dishwasher safe and the lid locks firmly. Pitcher has a good handle and the spout flips up for easy pouring without the need to remove the lid after making the smoothie. Lid has a marking arrow in the corner that needs to be matched with pitcher handle arrow. Once aligned the lid has a lock handle that needs to be locked. To open the lid there is a release button to be pushed. Also, blender locks well into the base and won’t run until its locked in place. Nice safety feature. One touch dedicated button like Smoothie, Ice crush, Ice Cream is a great addition. With the touch of button for smoothie, it makes smooth drinks and shakes from fruits, vegetables and ice. Its so powerful that it crushes the ice so perfectly to frozen drinks. If you need different recipes don’t forgot to review the attached recipes to make ice creams or for salsa ideas. Overall, my family loves it and my 10-year-old daughter loves making new recipe during this unprecedented time stay at home. I would recommend this blender for anyone who is looking for a powerful, one touch nice options at a great price range.

OK, I am totally won over by this blender. I use it to make a full pitcher, 72oz, of smoothies every day. It is just perfect. It isn't easy to find a 1400W blender that actually works at crushing stuff to the point where it is good to drink. This blender does that for me. I crush ice at least once daily when making my batches. It handles store bought ice that are the cylinder shape with the hole down the center? I typically crush about 1/3 to 1/2 pitcher full. I add some nuts like almonds or Brazil nuts depending. Veggies from leafy greens like spinach and kale to cucumbers, zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli. These are all handled fine though now and then, depending on how much liquid and how long I blend them, might not get totally turned to paste. I like the added texture though. Frozen fruits like strawberries, blueberries, melon and even pineapple are blended down to close to a paste as well...you can only go so far because veggies and fruits do have lots of fiber and only some much can be done with them. I'll I add xanthan gum, psyllium fiber and other fiber powers. After you blend a batch and it sits for a bit the xanthan gum will create a sort of jello-like consistency. This is actually very difficult to blend or mix for every other blender I've owned. The Ninja Pro 1400W handles it with ease. I add a bit more liquid but better yet, I try to use less xantan gum next batch. FYI, the xanthan gum is actually aids in blood glucose control, which I discovered by accident. So now I add it to every batch...and it actually works for me so I recommend researching it for yourself and giving it a try if it make sense. I make the smoothies for aiding in digestion I need more fiber. The Ninja has become my go-to tool for that purpose. It has more than enough power to grind/crush/blend any food items I toss in the pitcher. It is extremely easy to clean too. Just pour in a bit of, I use lightly soapy warm water, then blend on high for a minute or two until it looks clear. You might want to repeat this a couple times. After that, a quick going over with a "kitchen toothbrush" (You know your old toothbrush moved to kitchen duty after it retires). You'll have a clean and sanitary pitcher ready for more work. Oh, do be careful with the blades...they are SHARP. I found that out the first day...and I knew better and still the thing savaged a finger. About sound...people, it's a BLENDER it is going to make noise for a few minutes when you grind stuff up. That is physics and every blender will make noise from the motor to the blades to the chopping of the ingredients. But this one is no worse or better than any others I've had over the years. Beyond that I can just say I would happily recommend this one for anybody looking to blending anything from, literally, soup-to-nuts and beyond.

So far so good. It blends fairly well and we've had no issues. Cleanup is a breeze. My only regret is that I wanted the one with multiple cup options and I thought this was the starter version to this. It's not. If you want to add the "food processor cup" or the "smoothie size" cup, this one does not allow for those attachments. But it blends well so I think I'm actually ok without it moving forward.

After the first order came in a thrashed box that damaged the item, Best Buy sent a second that was in fine condition. Easily remedied. So while it says I purchased it 6/3, I didn't get the working product til much later. The item works well and is easy to clean. It is very loud - louder than most blenders I feel like, but it isn't like there are quiet ones out there or anything. There is a slight burning plastic smell when it runs, especially for the longer functions like "Ice Cream" - it has worn off a bit with use and there is no smoke or heat or anything like that and it seems to be a commonplace occurrence. I just turn it on and walk away so I'm not there huffing it. I primarily use it for fruit smoothies and use primarily frozen fruits, and haven't noticed any issues with chunks left behind or anything. I haven't tried raw veg/spinach or any of that. I think that odor is my primary dissatisfaction with the product and hence the single star removal. Otherwise, it's been a couple weeks and so far so good.

Great blender! I am just realizing that I've had this blender for 2 years with no problems (purchased in January 2023, making this review in May 2025). Many blenders I have had in the past die or lose power within the first year. I use this blender several times per week to blend smoothies (with ice) and it still works like brand new. Definitely recommend!

I'm a fan of the Ninja brand and this was an upgrade from my old trusty Nutri Ninja (900volt). I love this blender, I've mostly used it for Margaritas and Piñacoladas which it can make perfectly. I've also made some good fruit smoothies and protein mix drinks with it, all of them came out perfectly blended and not clumpy or chunky, which can be hard to do with protein powder. This Ninja Pro is a great blender for all uses. It has 3 preset modes to simplify the process when making certain drinks or foods (Smoothie/Crushed Ice/Ice Cream) but it also has 4 different settings for preferred blending thickness. Overall I recommend it for anyone wanting a high quality blender or already knows how good the Ninja Brand is.

That’s the most powerful blender I’ve ever had and I’ve had lots of them! I’ve only been using it for protein shakes. I use ice cubes and it tears the ice up. I like how it mixes then stops and it does that repeatedly until it’s completely mixed, so you don’t have to worry about the motor smelling. Be careful washing the blades they are so sharp I don’t even want my Son washing them Because the first time I used the blender when I washed the blades with my kitchen sponge it sliced right through it.

This is a very powerful blender. I had an old Oster that finally broke, so I did a little research. This really does a good job of making smoothies and other things that require intense blending. I pulsated it also to make salsa. Watch out for the blades, though. Truly very sharp!!! Handle with care. I realize now that I have quite a few Ninja small appliances, and I'm happy with all of them.

What a nice replacement for our old blender. The Ninja is powerful and fast at making smoothies. The auto-iq seems to work well for that. Pretty easy to clean, but says you can put it in the dishwasher. It is very tall when assembled and won’t fit on the counter for most cabinets, but fits on the bottom shelf of the lower cabinet for storage. Also, the noise level seems reasonable compared to our old blender.

This blender is crazy powerful, I've only used it on the lowest setting and that is enough for most things. The only downside to me is how loud it can get and how tall it is, making it difficult to keep on the counter of a small apartment. I also wished it had more attachments, so far that has proven difficult to find due to the shape of the attachments.
