    It works pretty well, maybe not shaved ice, but just add some liquid if there are small chunks of ice. Smoothies just need the juice, milk, and ice, and the consistency is just like a commercial blender.

    Surprisingly good blender-saw a lot of reviews and had no problems so far. Used for daily smoothies with crushed ice. Jug capacity makes 3-4 smoothies- so is quick to whip up.Had my kitchen aide for 30 years and loved it but finally the feet wore down ( that rotated the blade) so a lot of thought for replacement- strong motor- not disappointed
