As the title indicates, this grill is not non-stick. Purchased in July of last year, so my one year warranty has expired. Food now sticks to the grill and its impossible to get clean. Should have returned it when I got it. The black soot that comes off every time you tocuh the grill or griddle plates is concerning.

This is absolutely unacceptable, and we realize we have let you down. We’re especially concerned about the grill’s non-stick coating failing, the cleaning difficulties, and the black soot coming off the plates. Please know that your feedback has been passed on to our team so we can work to improve our products and services.

Nice and hot countertop grill and griddle

This is a good countertop grill in that it gets hotter than most I’ve used and can stay pretty consistently at that temperature. That being said, it is basically a countertop griddle or frying pan with all the ramifications of that, including grease splatter and smoke. The pros are pretty obvious right from the beginning. The non-stick worked great. It can cook 6 of the frozen preformed burgers at once. It gets nice and hot to do a good job frying. The cons were less obvious, and really what should be expected from a unit like this, but seemed to fight the advertising so irritated me a bit more. First, it is not smokeless. Sure, if you compare it to an outdoor charcoal or propane grill it has a lot less smoke, but my smoke detector almost went off when doing hamburgers. Cooking still creates a lot of smoke and because its indoor but not on your stovetop, you don’t have a hood to vent the smoke. If you’re doing something like burgers, grease gets everywhere. The splatter guard does help, but it still has holes in it and grease does get through it. Because of the shape, you can’t just find a pot lid that you can put over the cover either, so just expect to get grease on your counters. It’s not bad to clean, but it’s not as easy as advertised. Only the removable splatter guard is dishwasher safe, but the shape of the hinge makes it so that it has to take up like 20% or more of your dishwasher to fit it in. Annoying, but manageable. The griddle and grill pan are both hand wash. The griddle is fine, but the grill’s ridges are so close together that it actually makes it harder to clean. You really can’t get grease out of the troughs very easily and that pan is where putting it in the dishwasher would have really been a benefit. I guess technically you can put it in the dishwasher, but then your nonstick will probably wear out a lot faster. Maybe it’s worth it and then you can just get a replacement grill pan when the nonstick stops working. This is great for anyone without a stove, or maybe their stove isn’t out of commission for a while. Also great if you need to cook in a location that normally doesn’t have a kitchen. But for me, the drawbacks are such that I would only really use it as a back up or for emergencies and not as a day to day kitchen appliance.

This is definitely my go-to for quick indoor grilling. Don't want to fire up the propane grill outdoors? Don't want to mess around with charcoal? This will cook your meat just as well, or maybe even better with less mess. It was easy to set up and use right away. The grill will fit six large burgers with no problem, and it will even toast your buns afterward. There was no smoke to worry about, so no need to use it under a vent hood. It also cleaned up super easy - just rinse and dry. I also used the griddle for ham and cheese sandwiches, frying with mayo rather than butter, and at a lower temperature than grilling burgers. I made four sandwiches, but I could have fit six on the griddle. The heat was nice and even, with no hot spots or concerns about swapping the locations on the griddle so they would finish at the same time. I even lowered the lid at the end to trap in some heat and melt the cheese better. The griddle, like the grill, is non-stick, so cleanup required nothing more than a wipe with a paper towel. The heat can be raised to 500F if you really need to sear something. There's no fan like there is with an air fryer or convection oven, so operation is noise-free. The hood is dishwasher-safe, so you can throw it in the dishwasher if you get a lot of grease spatter. You can also store it upright to save shelf or counter space. It does require some preheat time, and the dial isn't exactly precise when selecting a temperature, but it's still going to be more precise than using an outdoor grill. This should be an essential appliance in every kitchen.

The Ninja Sizzle Smokeless Countertop Indoor Grill & Griddle is a versatile piece of cooking equipment. It is fairly compact and has the added bonus of interchangeable plates for ease of cleaning. There were many positive attributes and just a few negative. Positives: - Two different interchangeable cooking surfaces - Can cook pancakes, sandwiches, eggs, etc on the flat plate - Can cook bacon, burgers, steaks, vegetables, etc on the grill plate - Removable cooking plates for easy cleaning - Removable cooking lid that is dishwasher safe - Little to no smoke or spattering while cooking - Non-stick surface for ease of cooking eggs, meats, breads, etc. - Heats up quickly and evenly (pancakes were evenly cooked golden brown) - Attached drip area to collect grease/run off - Lightweight and compact enough to fit in cabinets under counter Negatives: - Hard to fit 6 larger sized pancakes on the flat plate - Raised edge inhibits flipping of pancakes and eggs if you have too many on the plate - Might be too small for cooking a lot of food at once Overall, a great addition to our kitchen. Biggest bonus is the ease of cleaning the removable plates. Most griddles or grills are one unit which makes cleaning a nightmare, especially after cooking burgers. With this, you just remove the plate and can wash it separately. The lid can also be removed and washed in the dishwasher if necessary.

If it was possible, I would give this grill a 4.5. Overall, this is a great addition to our kitchen and will receive a lot of use. Pro 1). Versatility-The grill has 2 cook plates that are easily changed. There is a flat grill and a grooved grill for meats. 2). Size- this is a great size for a 2-4 person family. Each grill plate has the same size cooking area. It will hold 6 pieces of bread for grilled cheese or 6 standard sized burgers on the grill. 3). Even cooking from edge to edge.-in the instructions, it states to warm the grill for 7 minutes before adding food. If you do this, the entire surface cooks evenly. 4) Temperature settings- Has a dial temp setting and you can set the grill as high and 500 degrees! Cons 1) Non stick surface- this is the reason for me to reduce my review from a 5 star. On the flat grill, it seems to be a little sticky if you don’t have any oil. It doesn’t take much, but you need a little and it is not recommended to use spray oil. Overall, I love this grill. We make French toast, grilled cheese, pancakes, fried eggs and burgers on it all the time. It is fast to set up and stores well on a shelf without taking up too much room. I would recommend to friends.

I put this through a couple of tests. On Friday morning before work, I did flapjacks and eggs. I can confirm that the even temperature feature appears to be true, I had no cool spots when doing six eggs over easy at once. It does really want to be preheated for about 7 minutes to really warm up, so it does take longer than doing eggs in a pan on the stove, but if I have time, I prefer griddle cooking, its what I had growing up. I made saucer sized flap jacks when the eggs were done, just scooted the slight bit of liquid and egg scraps into the trough on the griddle plate and started pouring batter. Worked just like a hot griddle should. I used my laser thermometer and it read pretty close to the dial temp after I was done with the flap jacks. I left the griddle plate cool down as instructed, and put it in warm soapy water for a bit while I cleaned up the counter. Cleaned easily, as you would expect from eggs and flap jacks. Tonight, I cooked 10 burgers, 6 at a time, then 4 to finish it off (I have teenagers, and two bonus children over tonight). I followed the advice for 325 degrees at 11 to 14 minutes. Worked well, done all the way through. The griddle plate has a trough for grease and at ten burgers, I almost filled it up. I purposely bought 80 percent lean hamburger to put it through a "grease" test. I usually never use less than 90 Angus or 93 regular beef lean because of all the grease, but I thought I'd check how it did with the greasy stuff. It did WELL! The lid did great keeping the grease splatter in there, and it drained well to the trough. You will definitely need to wipe down the lid well after 80 lean burgers. Not hardly any smoke at all, some vapor, I kept the stove hood fan on low and saw it get drawn up to the range cover. This thing is going to be great for use in the winter without filling the kitchen with grease smoke/vapors. The lid did a terrific job of sequestering the grease. After burgers, I removed the grill and put the griddle plate on to cook some thin sliced buffalo sauced chicken meat. I did it at 350, preheating for 7 minutes before, and flipped it over for even cooking about 4 minutes in. 4 minutes was enough to put a little sear on each side, although it was more the consistency of pulled pork, so I stirred it around a bit as well. This one is a keeper, and gives you that grilling feeling you miss in the winter. I will try steaks next, but greasy burgers was the test it needed to pass and it did with excellence. I really recommend this for grilling inside.

Absolute junk, Worked good for a week and then I went to turn it on to 375 waited 10 minutes, Put brats on and it barely felt like it was cooking at 100 degrees. So I shut it off and had to finish cooking my brats in a frying pan. Waited for it to cool, packed it up and returned immediately. Mine must have been defective & the heating element was not working properly. Wouldn’t buy again.

This will be fantastic for grilling in the winter or on rainy days. Getting great results indoors so far. We've cooked burgers flawlessly, Pretty much smoke free. An amazing piece of equipment. Simple setup, simple clean up.It claims they are dishwasher safe but easier for us to just clean them in the sink. This will definitely become one of our highest used appliances. Big enough to cook 6 small burgers at a time with room to flip or 4 larger burgers.Grease runs down into a little catch. No splatter while flipping and no mess spreading outside the area of the grille itself. I was worried that grease would end up all over the counter but there was nothing to wipe up after a few meals. Everything styed right on the grille. Can't wait to do some breakfasts on the griddle part of it. It will do eggs, pancakes, sausage, etc. Fantastic all in 1 appliance that doesn't take up a lot of room and easily stores away when not in use. Highly recommended Cooked some boneless chicken breasts that came out delicious and sauteed some vegetable

    Great Grill/Griddle!

The Ninja Sizzle Smokeless indoor grill/griddle is a wonderful grill that is both easy and effective. The grill comes packed with a flat nonstick griddle plate, and a nonstick grill plate. Setting up the Ninja is very easy, just plug it in, select the desired type of plate, and turn the knob to the desired temperature. The Top the grill has a perforated mesh lid, which is detachable and dishwasher safe. This is what makes the grill smokeless, not only that, but it also catches the splatter from cooking. I couldn’t wait to try out the grill, so I went to the store and bought some fillets. The front of the grill has some desired preheating times for certain types of food, this can also be found inside the included recipe book – located in the box. I was able to fit about 4 fillets on the grill at once, and these were decent size fillets. The grill didn’t take long to preheat to 375 degrees, and to my surprise, the perforated mesh lid was able to catch the smoke and keep it contained. The steaks came out amazing, they had beautiful even grill marks, were tender and juicy. I was amazed how well the grill performed. The next morning, I decided to try out the griddle to make some breakfast. I made some pancakes and some fried eggs, and they turned out great! The nonstick griddle plate makes it easy to flip the pancakes without having them stick to the griddle, same went for the eggs. I was very satisfied. Overall, I really love the Ninja Sizzle Smokeless Grill/Griddle. I love how simple it is to set up and get started. The 2 options of the griddle and grill plates make this a perfect option for cooking many types of meals. Not to mention it cooks great! It is also easy to clean, and store away. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an indoor grill/griddle.

    Great Grill/Griddle for Quick Meals

I got the Ninja Grill/Griddle to replace an older smaller name brand countertop grill that jus t didn't hold enough. This has enough space to grill four chicken breasts, steaks, etc. Since we usually only cook for two, I can easily cook meat and vegetables simultaneously, add a quick salad, and be eating a delicious meal in 20 minutes or so. The griddle is great for grilled cheese, or the coupe de gras, cooking bacon on the deck without smoking up the house! So far, I've cooked chicken, tuna steaks, a few different vegetables, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Using the times and temperatures in the manual worked great for everything except the grilled cheese. At the high temperature specified, the outside was done before the cheese melted. This may be due to our use of butter, but for us, using craft American cheese, wheat bread and butter, 350 degrees and about two minutes per side yields awesomeness! One of the other best things about this grill griddle is the extremely quick clean up. the non-stick surface is very good, so hot soapy water and a sponge is all you need. a brush might be good for the cervices in the grill top, but so far a sponge has been all we've needed. One note, unlike competing big name countertop grills, this one doesn't cook both sides at once. For us, it doesn't matter, and wouldn't be enough to convince us to go back. I just thought I'd mention it because I missed it before unboxing the product. We love the Ninja Sizzle Grill/Griddle. If you're in the market for something like this, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ninja.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love! I am not a great cook at all , but cooking meat on this grill made me look like a pro. I had no issues with smoke, the directions tell which oils to avoid to avoid smoke. It is super easy to clean which is a big part of why I like it, too. I would buy again
