Hard to clean, medium loud and the single tank gets disappointing after a few weeks. Basically only keeping this for days that I can’t make it out of the house myself.

I don't like the fact that the contents doesn't stay frozen long and if you keep the system running, it will freeze up

These DO NOT work well. These are terrible for quality control. This is the 3rd one I got (went to a different store the 3rd time) and it is the best one but it doesn't slush alcoholic drinks. The manual says 16% is the most it can slush but it fails at less than at half that. I tried all the online suggestions adding water, chilling in advance, etc and it just works poorly. I would return it but I didn't know Best Buy had a 15 day return policy. I will be avoiding Best Buy in the future as well.

I have all Ninja products in my kitchen, doesn’t work like I expected it to. I might need to play with it more.

More a novelty than anything. Does not make alcohol easily. Sugar to alcohol ratio must be exact or else the drink does not freeze into slush form.

You need to add plenty of sugar to all your drinks so it can become ice. Otherwise the machine will stop.

The item would not power on. I don’t recommend this item. I returned this item and got another one. I returned the second slushy machine too. The slushi machine kept shutting off. Luckily I returned it on the last day of return, which is 15 days. I would have been stuck with trash that cost almost four-hundred dollars.

The slushies/margaritas were not frozen enough. Not worth the cost!

So I been wanting this slushie machine for a long time. Just never wanted to spend 350.00 on it. I always get tired of going to the gas station and the machine there being down. So I had a gift card left over so I decided to purchase it. Got it home was so excited to finally have it. But its not what I thought it would be. Tried to make a coke icee. It turned the pop flat and turned it into pretty much syrup. Tasted awful. I was so disappointed. Unfortunately I didnt take any photos. But it was sent back the very next day. Think carefully before purchasing.

Stopped working after the 3rd use. Returned to Ninja and received another. Hoping this one works, but per others that have bought these, they have the same issue.

Like most folks I’ve tried making pina coladas and slushy type drinks with ice in a blender at some point, but they aren’t great. A real frozen drink doesn’t need any additional ice. The Ninja SLUSHi works without ice, as it simply freezes the contents to a consistency that allows it to remain in a semi frozen or slushy form. To do this requires sugar, either in the form of alcohol or actual sugar. The machine freezes it and keeps it in motion so that the water stays mixed in with the sugar and doesn’t freeze solid. Without it, the process doesn’t work. You can’t make a diet soda or anything with zero calorie sugar substitutes into a slush for example. For sodas with sugar, it couldn’t be any easier, plug in the machine, pour in the soda and hit the Slush preset. In about 15-20 minutes I had frozen Dr. Pepper or Coke, and it tasted exactly like it does at my local movie theater or convenience store. The sugar content also cannot be too high, or it won’t be able to freeze enough to be slushy. I found this out when trying a wine-based margarita premix I bought from the grocery store. The machine beeped which told me to add water and did another cycle before it beeped again to add more. Likewise, if the sugar content is too low, the machine will detect it and let you know. It does not take long for your drink to be ready, and the machine will beep to alert you when it is. There’s a preset for Slush, such as a soda, sports, or energy drink. The “Spiked Slush” preset is what you want to use when you have alcohol. A Coffee preset allows you to create a frappe like drink. I found that using a flavored coffee mix from the store is better than brewing your own, as you need to sweeten it, and you absolutely cannot pour hot liquid into the machine. The fourth preset is “Milkshake”, which we prepared by following the recipe in the included guide. Only needed milk, heavy cream, a decent amount of sugar, and some vanilla extract. The result was a rich, creamy milkshake that rivals the best from fast-food burger shops. The last preset, Frozen Juice is the only one we haven’t tried yet. The machine will keep your drinks ready for up to 12 hours, although I haven’t tested this either as they are always gone well before that. After you’re done there is a “Rinse” button which allows you to pre-rinse it with water before washing all the parts. I do recommend you wash it fully after each use and let it dry as the sugary contents are sticky, and I wouldn’t want to leave it sitting unwashed for any amount of time. The only downside I could find is if you are trying to use it beneath standard cabinetry in a kitchen for example. I would like to leave it tucked away underneath the cabinet but the way it’s designed requires me to move it out from underneath the cabinet every time to both lock the vessel (what holds the contents) into place and pour the liquids in. Minor issue but something to think about it if you were thinking of keeping it in your kitchen. There are so many things you can try from sodas, coffees, spiked drinks, even energy drinks. The easiest is just to pour a soda in it which is what we do when we want to have family movie night at home.

I’ve been impressed with this Ninja SLUSHi maker's ease of use and how much fun it’s brought to making frozen drinks at home, but there are a few things to consider before buying. One of the best things about this machine is how straightforward it is. It has preset options for slush, spiked slush, frappé, frozen juice, and milkshakes. This makes it really simple to create a variety of drinks, whether you’re making something fruity for the kids or a frozen cocktail for adults. I really appreciate that you don’t need ice, as this prevents drinks from becoming watered down. Drinks are full flavored which is something I’ve noticed especially with cocktails—the difference in taste is significant compared to using a blender with ice, so you may need to adjust the recipe some for drinks with more potent flavors or ingredients. The kids, they absolutely love it. The machine’s clear container lets them watch the liquid slowly transform into slush. They enjoy experimenting with different juices and drinks, and it’s great to see them get excited about making their own creations. Just note you can only use liquids, so no ice, fruit, or any other solids. Its large 64-ounce capacity makes it great for serving multiple people, and the fact that it can run for 12 hours is a huge plus for parties. I’ve had it running through a few gatherings, and guests love being able to serve themselves using the easy-pull handle. The only issue I’ve run into is that the drink doesn’t always pour smoothly. Sometimes the slush comes out in chunks rather than a steady flow, which can be a little annoying, especially when serving multiple people at once. Still, it’s a minor issue that’s easy to work around. One thing that caught me off guard is the machine is a little tall (and heavy), and depending on your kitchen setup, it might not fit easily under some cabinets. During parties or with some background noise, it blends in pretty easily though. Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s been a fun way to make frozen drinks for both kids and adults, and it adds a lot of convenience when hosting guests. The versatility of the presets, combined with the fact that it doesn’t require ice, makes it really convenient and more likely to get use. Despite its size and the occasional clumpy pour, it’s been a worthwhile investment for us. If you’ve got enough space for it and don’t mind a bit of noise, it’s a great addition for anyone who enjoys frozen drinks.
