It makes easy work of ice for smoothies and frozen drinks. The vacuum takes longer than I expected to create the "oxygen free" blending atmosphere, almost to the point of wondering what is taking so long, but it's worth it when you make the frozen drinks. I'm taking off 1 star from the rating for the noise. This blender is LOUD. I've definitely used blenders from other makers that are much quieter and just as powerful, but this system is still great. The food processor is sizeable, the dough attachment is very handy. The individual serving size cup is nice as well for when you only want a small amount (single size smoothies, sauces, dressings and such). Overall this is an impressive blending system.
