Just be careful handling all the blades as they are incredibly sharp! All the included blending/chopping containers are a nice bonus and so far it has handled everything I've thrown at it. A side note, its gets really loud.

I used this system to prepare most of my Thanksgiving dinner this year. It finely chops food evenly within seconds. The FreshVac makes awesome smoothies. Easy to clean. Highly recommend.

The motor is powerful enough for any shakes (or anything else) you might need to blend. I have a shake daily, and the only downside to more powerful blenders is that they are louder than the less powerful units. That said, don't let that stop you from getting one of these, they are well worth a bit of extra noise. Since the blades are removable, keeping the unit clean is easy. The "FreshVac" technology allows you to remove oxygen and other gasses from whatever is being blended, helping keep the froth down, should you so desire. It is a cool feature, but sometime I want extra froth. When you have an awesome blender, be sure to scour the web for recipes, as I have found some amazing smoothies, and now have one every day for breakfast.
