This product is not good. One it’s too small to really cook a family of 5 meals. Also the cooking is very inconsistent. Same method of seasoning on ribs. The first time was great. 2-4 time was terrible. Cooking burgers in there is a mess. The clean up is hard as messing cooking gets all stuck on the hood inside.

Two things really shine with this outdoor grill: The quick cooking and the all-in-one capabilities. Everything cooks much quicker (and better) across all modes compared to traditional methods. Not just air frying, which is always faster, but even dehydrating and smoking. Of course, I'm sure this will never replace a full blown smoker but for the average person, this does extremely nicely. The pork loin I made was amazing and it smoked much faster than I even expected. I would definitely recommend a thermometer with an alarm and to not stray too far for long. You have to adjust the time based on the booklet and your protein size, and even then, it was done even sooner. I wasn't able to test the dehydrator but I was surprised with the shorter times the directions state. If time saving isn't convenient enough, the multiple modes make things easier as well. The supplied crisper basket lays right on top into grooves on the griddle which allows you to cook fries or vegetables, remove, then continue with your protein immediately after. We grilled chicken and onions, put it in a casserole dish with rice and cheese, then returned it to the machine to bake to finish it off. This offers the ability to cook various meals with this single machine. The pellets worked great. They give you two small bags of two different flavors (all-purpose mix and a robust mix) which are good from 1-3 sessions each. For the pork loin, I used the all-purpose blend and it was super tender and juicy with a robust, smoked flavor. I was really impressed. The only issue I had was the booklet says one full bin of pellets is good for one full cooking session but I don't find this to be particularly accurate across the board. Based on the pork loin I smoked, I'd say one full bin of pellets equals about 2 hours max of smoking. There is also no reusing pellets as the machine will burn them until gone. Because of this, pellets may be wasted on meals that have a shorter cook time. So you kind of have to learn as you go in order to better judge amounts for your food so you can minimize wasting the pellets. Fortunately, you can just add more as it's cooking. But I think it's a bit misleading. As for using them to infuse your meals with any other non-smoking mode, it's possible they burned a little slower but I could be mistaken. It may have just seemed to because it only lightly draws the smoke in which is great for just that perfect touch of smoked flavor. But besides this minor thing, in my experience, Ninja is always great in supplying recipe/food guides when it comes to kitchen appliances. That is still especially true, here. The food charts for each mode they give you will forever be invaluable in helping you cook everything correctly across the various modes. We've always found their booklets accurate and as usual, following their instructions resulted in evenly, well cooked food each time we used it. Cleaning the removable griddle is really simple since the non-stick coating allows everything to just kind of slide right off. Definitely use foil like they say to line the drip tray, it makes cleaning it much easier, and the drip tray is small enough to throw in the fridge to reuse later if you had minimal drippings. Everything cools off pretty quickly, too. The rest of the machine is less easy to clean, though. Expect it to of course splatter all over the inside of the hood and around the handles/base. You're supposed to avoid using abrasive cleaners on anything non-removable so you just have to do your best to wipe it. The only glaring problem I could see is the cord is short at about 4 feet, although it's for good reason. They cite it being a safety hazard like a child accidentally tripping or getting caught in it which is understandable but be aware as this may be an issue for your setup. If this is an issue you'd have to get a suitably rated outdoor extension cord. Otherwise, we can't say enough good about this Ninja outdoor grill. The food was delicious and cooked well every time. It's a great supplemental grill to have in addition to your current charcoal or gas grill. But it's still a good alternative if you don't have either. Especially if you prefer electric. PROS - Cooks quickly! - Consistent, evenly cooked food - Griddle/Crisper Tray easy to clean - Add smoke flavor to any dish CONS - Anything other than the griddle/tray not as easy to keep clean - Must use Ninja brand wood pellets - Must cover/bring in when not in use (Ninja cover sold separately)

This looks like it is going to be a great addition to our 5th wheel trailer! We have a Traeger that we use at home for most BBQ stuff and wanted to have something for when we go camping. We also have a Ninja Air Fryer/pressure cooker and a countertop Ninja oven. These just end up being too many things to pack for a trip, so the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill is going to fill all those roles and does it in a single package that is so easy to clean and operate. We cooked today using the smoker function and the food came out just like our big Traeger produces. The smoke flavor combined with the ability to use the air fryer function is going to change our camping trips completely! I have held onto an old Weber charcoal gril because it is the medium size and allows me to cook pretty easily but is limited in its use. This cooker should be able to let me finally retire that workhorse and settle on one appliance that is smaller and easier to use, set up and clean up. Setup is simple... I just screwed the handles on with the included Allen wrench and it was ready to go. I wish the cord was just a bit longer, but I have an outlet right on the side of the trailer that will be perfect. The included air fryer basket makes cooking bulky things easy and the grill works great for larger things like burgers, steaks, corn on the cob and hot dogs. I was a little surprised by the pellets. They lasted much longer than I expected, and I didn't even use a full scoop. I cooked the meat and when I went back to clean up after giving it time to cool off, I found that there was still some smoke coming from the pellet cup. i think I found glowing ashes for about an hour or so after I was done cooking. Overall, I am very impressed, I look forward to using this for all sorts of meals on our trips. I will have to check on the pellets, I am not sure yet how easy it will be to find them. It does advise the user to only use Ninja pellets, so we will see how availability goes. Ninja has made some amazing products over the last few years, we have found that we are using ours more and more and have had none die on us. They go through a lot of real-world testing, it seems, since the final products are always very effective at the tasks they advertise them for. I would have no problem recommending this to anyone. My son-in-law was asking questions about it as well as it would be great for their little family.

My wife really wanted to buy this grill and today she is so upset she might explode. She liked using it the first couple of times she used it and it did a good job of making a nice smoked chicken. Just shy of owning it for a year and it will not smoke, using their proprietary pellets, and went through all the trouble-shooting list to no avail. Now she just wants to throw it though the car windshield of whoever is responsible for making this piece of CRAP.

I am a big fan of Ninja products. We have their Foodi Smart XL Indoor Grill that sits on our kitchen countertop that we use almost daily. This product is very similar to the indoor Foodi Grill, but it is a little bit larger and bulkier, and adds the ability to add smoke flavor to your foods. The Ninja Woodfire comes with everything that you need to start grilling and smoking immediately with very little assembly required. The left and right-side carrying handles are screws into the grill using the included allen wrench. There is a grill grate, air fryer basket, two sample size bags of wood pellets, a wood pellet measuring cup, a recipe book, and quick start guide included with the Ninja Woodfire. To add the wood pellets, you just fill the pellet scoop, open the Woodfire smoke box access hatch, and pour the pellets in. When you want to use the smoker setting or press the Woodfire button to add smoke flavor to your food, the pellets will ignite and add woodfire flavor to what you are cooking. Ninja recommends only using their pellets, but I would think that you can use other wood pellets if you choose to. The control panel is easy to use and is similar to other Ninja appliances. There is a knob that allows you to select the type of cook you want to do (grill, smoke, air crisp, bake, roast, broil, or dehydrate), a Woodfire Flavor button, and a start/stop button. There is a LED display with time and temperature controls under the display. We have used it as an electric grill to cook steaks. There is a heating element under the non-stick grill top that heats up the grill enough that it sears and leaves grill marks on the steaks. I had to keep a little closer eye on the steaks than I would using the Foodi indoor grill because of the absence of a smart meat thermometer on this model. There is a Pro version of the Woodfire grill that has a built-in thermometer that I feel would be worth the extra money to upgrade to. With the thermometer, you can program the grill to cook meat to the exact doneness that you prefer without the worry of over-cooking it. There is a removeable drip pan on the bottom side of the grill that collects grease and drippings from the grill. The grill grate is also removeable and easy to clean. In conclusion, it is a good product. It is simple to use, easy to clean up, and produces great results. I just wish I had gotten the Pro model with the built-in thermometer.

Just when I thought Ninja couldn't surprise me anymore, they come out with the Woodfire 7-in-1 Outdoor Grill. This is an electric grill that is weatherproofed to withstand being left outside. While it will bake, roast, dehydrate and broil, it's main attraction is the grill, smoker and air fryer. What makes those so special? Well, it is wood pellets you can add that turns this electric grill into something special - an electric grill that gives a great smoky taste to your food. It is this technology that makes it an outdoor grill though, without using that part, you should be able to use it inside as a grill and air fryer. Obviously you wouldn't be able to use the smoker inside. This is great for those who live in apartments as they can now grill on their porch without worry about open flames. It's a great size for travel, RVs and tailgate parties. For those of us who don't need a big smoker but would like the use of one occasionally, we now have that. Imagine air frying wings but still having that smoky flavoring to them. These are things everyone can now do as long as they have electricity to run the Grill. I tried it with my portable power station and it worked a treat. No worries about taking it to the park and grilling. The food tasted fantastic and it had the grill marks you would get using a regular wood burning grill. I would dispute the amount of food you can make on the grill at one time but that is mostly due to the different cuts of meats people can buy. Still we had no difficulties feeding 6 at a time. It comes with two types of wood pellets, one which is like an all-purpose flavor while the other seemed to be much stronger, for a more full-bodied smoke flavor. It is my hope that Ninja expands this line in the future. I did check to see how hard it would be to get more of the wood pellets. I found them sold in any store which carried the Ninja Outdoor Grill so that isn't an issue. Best of all, the clean up was easy which is always a big star in my book. My only disappointment with the grill is the length of the cord. I think a 6-foot cord would be much better given the need for an electrical outlet. I have an outlet on my porch but the four foot cord was too short to allow me to put the grill in the outside corner without an extension yet a 6-foot cord would have made it no problem. When I tried running it off my car, again, that extra 2 feet would take the grill further away from the car to avoid so much smoke getting in. When looking for the wood pellets, I also found that there are accessories you can get for this Grill. There is a cart which looks to fit the grill which has wheels so you can wheel the grill under cover when finished. It apparently also collapses which would make it easy for transport. There is an all-weather cover for the grill itself in case you want to leave it outside. You can get a griddle plate to go over the grill. This makes it great for travel being about to use it to make things other than what can be grilled. Breakfast, anyone? The other accessory I found interesting was a crisper basket you can use so you can air fry and grill at the same time. Another great addition to the Ninja line.

Pros: Easy to use Tells you when it is preheated and ready for food Grill grate is super easy to clean and very nonstick Wood pellet chamber automatically ignites pellets for you with the press of a button, no lighters needed Perfect grill marks on food No propane or charcoal needed Infuses smoke into your food with a very small amount of wood pellets Can grill, smoke, air crisp, bake, roast, broil, and dehydrate Cons: No latch to lock lid shut Grill is heavy Air fry basket not the easiest to clean - requires quite a bit more effort to clean than the grill grate Smoke can easily burn your eyes when opening the grill lid No stand included - you will need a table to put this on Power cord is very short - extension cord is needed Not as much cooking area as a traditional grill This Ninja Woodfire Grill is a really an innovative product! The fact that it can grill, smoke, air crisp, bake, roast, broil, and dehydrate all with the option to include smoke flavor is pretty cool. I haven’t heard of anything else like this, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect with it. I do have to say that after using this, I was impressed with what it can do! Upon first setting this up, I did notice that it is quite heavy. If you are expecting this to be something light, that is definitely not the case. This wasn’t too heavy to move by myself, but it also is not light. One thing I noticed when moving this which would have made it better and easier to move would be something to lock the lid in place for moving. When I move this unit, the lid would flop open and move around which made it harder to move. If there were a latch to hold the lid shut, that would have been really nice. When it is sitting on a flat surface, the lid stays flat no problem, but when moving it, it doesn’t stay shut. One of the first things I noticed when putting my burgers on the grill plate is how nonstick it was. Food just slides on the grill grates so easily, which is really nice. Not only is it nice for cooking, but it makes cleanup so easy! I think I read that this grill grate is ceramic, so it has really great nonstick properties. The cheeseburgers that I made on this with the woodfire flavor turned out great. They had perfect grill marks and a nice smokey flavor. It was really easy to make burgers on this! I also tried making pieces of grilled zucchini on the grill grates. Those didn’t turn out as good, I think they got too much smoke flavor and residue on them, which I didn’t care for. I don’t think I’d do the zucchini again with the woodfire flavor but I would definitely do the burgers again with it. I really like the ability of this grill to add real woodfire flavor while still being an electric grill. That gives you the best of both worlds. Having an electric grill is easier and cheaper than having a grill that requires a lot of wood pellets, charcoal, or propane. It is great to have both the convenience of an electric grill and a convenient way to get real smoke flavor. I don’t do a lot of grilling, so I didn’t want to mess with using a grill that requires propane, so this was perfect for me. Overall, I am impressed with the innovation and features of this grill. There are some things that could be improved in a future model, but overall this is a great device. I was very satisfied with the ease of use, ease of cleanup, and grilling results I got from this Ninja grill.

    Amazing multi-function grill

I have had this product for a few weeks and so far I am blown away. So far I’ve used the grill, smoker, and air crisp functions. Each has worked perfectly, from the grilled pork chops to the smoked ribs to the air crisped drumsticks. I also just smoked a tender and juicy bacon wrapped pork loin that was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten. Setup and use is super straightforward. Just attach the handles and you’ll be cooking delicious meats in no time. I love the fact that you can add smoke flavor no matter which cooking function you’re using (except broil I believe). It comes with a pellet scoop and two sample bags of pellets. Cleanup is also quick and easy. The grill, air fryer basket, and drip tray are all detachable and easy to wash in the sink. It is small compared to other grills and smokers, but I was still able to fit about 3 pounds of drumsticks in the air fryer basket at once. I also smoked a whole rack of ribs on it. The cord is also kind of short, so make sure you have an outlet nearby or extension cord handy. Overall I have been very impressed with the ease of use, quality of food, and convenience of cleaning. I was initially skeptical of the price point, but the versatility of this unit is well worth it. Go buy it!

Impressive Smoke Flavor, Convenient Electric Grill

I had been thinking about getting an outdoor grill, but wasn’t thrilled with the idea messing with charcoal or dealing with propane refills. Since I really like my Ninja multi-function countertop oven, I was cautiously optimistic about the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill. After setting it up and using it a few times, I’m pleased to say that it’s just as convenient as a toaster oven, large enough for medium sized meals, and designed to withstand the elements outside. I’m also very impressed with the way it incorporates real smoke flavor into cooking. While the cooking itself happens under electric power, there is a small metal compartment on the side that gets filled with Ninja wood pellets. As the grill pre-heats, it ignites those pellets and starts a very small fire. A fan pulls the smoke from that fire into the cooking chamber. It seems very clever, works just like it’s supposed to, and our food, while clearly not grilled over a flame, did have real smoke flavor. I should note two things about this grill – first, the power cord is VERY short. The manual explains that this is for safety, and only extension cords rated for outdoor appliance use should be used. I can’t imagine very many people will be able to use this close enough to an outdoor outlet to go without an extension cord. On a related note, the small fire in the wood pellet box creates real smoke. Most of it goes into the cooking chamber, but then it all comes out the exhaust vent. So make sure you use this grill somewhere you don’t mind a good deal of smoke. Overall, this is a convenient, innovative product. I don’t imagine it will replace many people’s propane or charcoal grills, but it’s a great addition for someone who doesn’t already have a grill, or for someone who needs a much more convenient and portable alternative to theirs.
