Great Shelf Warmers, Useless Otherwise

What I got was a decent-looking figurine and absolutely zero reason to scan them. Donkey Kong looks fine. A little “party store cake topper,” but fine. Pauline is… there. Pose is stiff, paint’s okay, but she deserves better. But here’s the thing — they don’t really do anything. No notable in-game unlocks, no unique features. Just two overpriced decorations that mildly boost the chance someone asks, “Who’s that?” when walking past your shelf. If you’re an amiibo collector or just want more plastic staring at you while you game, go for it. But if you’re looking for actual functionality, these aren’t worth the cost. Returning mine. Not out of rage, just out of… common sense.

Poorly packaged when shipped

They packaged it in a paper mailer with no padding, when the amiibo arrived the package was completely smashed. I ended up having to go to the store and getting it replaced which beat the whole purpose of having it shipped to home. I do feel that amiibo pricing has steadily increased and this one was a premium. I rarely buy them and will keep rarely buying them if they are going to be $29.99
