I didn't do the research before purchasing and my son didn't know this but he was disappointed.

I purchased it for my 8 year-old nephew who thinks Pikachu is the greatest pokémon in existence. But he also thinks Spider-man can beat anyone, so go figure.

Disappointing

My son begged me for this (or any Pokemon Amiibo that I could find,) and he ended up being disappointed in that it is really only usable in a couple of games. He was thinking that he could put Pikachu into any game, but that is not how it works. I would advise anybody who is interested in picking any of these up to do a quick online search for a database of all the figures and what games they are playable in.

Unless they allow these pokemon amiibo to be used in the future games of Sun and Moon I wouldn't even bother buying them, or unless you're a collector.
