I am personaly collecting amiibo from the smash bros. line. This is just another checked box for me. I like this coloration.

Solid amiibo all around but it's just a color swap of another amiibo.

I own the first one that came out which has the default NES color swap for the character of the game and I never noticed that this FAMICOM version is the default for the Japanese version of the game. Seeing how there's a few variations of these Amiibo it makes me want to collect every single one of them including this one. It's a little robot so it's obvious Nintendo's going to put a lot of detail into it to make it look interesting. What I like the most about this figure is the tiny on and off switch on the lower base of his body! Sucks that Bet Buy didn't have enough stock of him so I had to get it elsewhere. Would definitely get it to complete the collection.

Famicom (Family Computer) was released in Japan in 1985, as was the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) in the United States. They both played similar Nintendo games, but looked very different. When Robot/R.O.B. came out later that year, he was nearly identical in Japan and the US, the most visible difference being the color scheme. Finally in 2016, North America will get it's first official taste of Famicom goodness! Some people will prefer the taupe body and red arms/underside (myself included!). Functionally, the only difference from NES R.O.B. is that it is the only way to unlock R.O.B. Yoshi in the Yoshi's Wooly World game, and one of the ways to unlock the Famicom R.O.B. costume in the Super Mario Maker game. Ironically, the NES R.O.B. remains exclusive in the United States to a 3-pack from a different retailer, so if for whatever insane reason you didn't want Game & Watch and Duck Hunt, now is your chance to get R.O.B. all by himself!

Famicom ROB is a great addition to the amiibo team! Colors and desgin look great! Can't wait to play with!

Even though I already own a R.O.B amiibo, but just like the retro mario amiibo, R.O.B looks great!

So this is super Smash Bros. R.o.b. Famicom Colors. The detail is good on it and you can add this character to the game. The character is hidden until you connect the NFC toy to the Wii U or the 3DS.

I already purchased the retro three pack that included NES R.O.B., but I couldn't resist this sweet Famicom version. Nintendo knows how to tickled your nostalgia bone.

A nice alternative design based on the Japanese Famicom, glad to see we got this color as well to go with the NES color design.

I got this on a whim, upon seeing it on the shelf. I'm an old school gamer and I love that this figure was made available, even though I don't play Super Smash Bros for the WiiU and I don't collect Amiibos. I just loved owning a tiny version of this old school Nintendo item.

This figure is crafted of the finest plastics and is a great addition to any collection.

If you loved the classic ROB then you have to get this Japanese fame on edition
