This Mario Amibo for Super Mario Odyssey is a great companion to the game as it grants invincibility for a short time in game and also unlocks Mario's wedding costume.

This amiibo is well made, showing good detail on the character. It unlocks some pretty useful things in Mario Odyssey, so I'd totally recommend getting it.

This is a very unique Mario Amiibo and the detail is impressive. The functionality in Odyssey is great but you don't need the Amiibo to unlock the content.

Bought the amiibo to play with Odyssey. Useful for in game tips and outfit, although isn’t required for game. Great quality and great item for collectors.

I really like Mario's pose on this Amiibo, and the shiny details on it are a very nice touch. The base is also really nice with the red and checkerboard.

Out of all three Super Mario Odyssey amiibo, this one is the least useful. The Bowser amiibo gives you the location of all regional coins in every kingdom. This is really useful for 100% completion in the game (which I highly recommend doing), and collecting all the outfits, stickers, and souvenirs. The Peach amiibo gives you an extra heart (making your total 6 instead of 3), and she can do that infinite times as often as you want. This is great if you're fighting a harder enemy, or if you have a less experienced player who's having a hard time. The Mario amiibo does give you temporary invincibility, but it doesn't last more than a minute or so. Plus, if you're in the middle of battle, it's annoying to have to keep tapping the amiibo to keep up the invincibility. It's better to keep tapping the Peach amiibo for additional extra hearts that last as long as you don't get hit. I did give this a 4-star because the amiibo design is stunning, and a great piece to add to any collection. It also works as any other Mario amiibo, so you could use it in Smash Bros and Mario Kart. So ultimately, get the Peach amiibo over this one, it has similar functionality but it does it better.

Something really cool to have if you have Mario odyssey, will be buying the others for the game real soon.
