This Mario amiibo functions with Super Mario Odyssey. It gives Mario a short duration of Invincibility. Although I do find this a large advantage, it may help beginners.

The 5th mario amiibo released is the best looking one. Unlocks an exclusive costume in Super Mario Odyssey and does what a normal mario amiibo does in all other games.

If you are a hardcore Nintendo collector, then this is a must by! If you are a Mario Odyssey owner, I would recommend this as well. Definitely helps with locating that one or two obscure power moons. All you got to do is scan the NFC at the bottom of the Amiibo and of it goes! It helped me a bunch of times.

This gets you limited invincibility in Mario Odyssey .... limited in duration, as well as in effect - you can still die in lava and get knocked back by cactuses.

...I apologize for that title. I don't use them, but my son loves it. Plastic build quality is good, fine detail, and the in-game rewards are okay, though remember when games had cheat codes instead of having to pay for them? I guess getting a toy in exchange is better than a line of DLC code, but it's also an expensive toy (cheaper with GCU though, thanks Best Buy!). I guess you already know if you want Amiibo or not and I doubt this one will change your mind.

The detail on this thing is awesome. Different textures make this think look so cool. The perks of using it on Super Mario Odyssey are cool too.

This Amiibo is particularly great, and it doesn't off you any great items in the game, but how can you not want to have a little mario figurine?

Good quality toys to life product. I wasn’t impressed with what these figures brought to the Odyssey game but they make a nice collectible.

What I didn't know when I bought these is you can in fact use them more then once and on multiple platforms, not just the switch. They add cute in game advantages, clothing etc. So if you have multiple systems and different consoles these are a great "shareseys" gift.

As with the other wedding amiibo, he looks great, with AMAZING detail. I especially love the look and feel of his hat.

Highly recommend this Amiibo, this version of Mario looks real cool. If u scan it in Smash Bros, it will display this version of Mario, so cool.

As with Peach, great details on the figure. Why couldn't the pose be of Mario throwing his hat, which is the entire point of the game?

As always the amiibo figure is top quality and the DLC costume is a very nice touch. A complimentary addition to your Mario Odyssey.

This Amiibo is very high quality and has great detail. The white is also kind of pearlescent, which really gives it that classy formal look.

All amiibos are cool, in my book, but this one is kind of unnecessary. Indestructible (like the old invincibility stars) and use as much as u want. If you have wedding Peach, you don’t need it at all....except to complete your collection.

Was really lookin foward to getting this one amiibos are so hard to find. Really lucked out the details on this mario are very well done

There's not much to say about amiibo, but if you don't already know, they're for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U. They're collectible toy figurines that usually unlock little extras in games that support them. This one will unlock a wedding suit for Mario in Super Mario Odyssey.

All three of the Super Mario Odyssey Amiibo are a great addition to any collection. None of them are necessary to complete the game, but if you like collecting things and you want a cool Nintendo set to own, this is a good choice.

Cool amiibo to go with mario, but what you receive from it you can unlock eventually in the game without it.
