The box came in pristine condition and the amiibo had no issues of any kind. Order was delivered a day ahead of schedule which was nice and the staff were very helpful. Best Buy lived up to their name.

I was happy enough after receiving the Pearl and Marina set in great condition that I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one too. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the outer plastic of the box having minor details. There is a line going horizontally across the face with the “amiibo” text on the front of the package. There are also small creases in one of the corners. These are very small issues but they do bother the collector in me. The weird part is that the cardboard, which is usually the most vulnerable element of the package, is perfectly fine. It was also very well padded in the packaging used, so this was definitely not a case of damage during shipping. If I didn’t know any better I would have thought this was a pre-owned item. I would definitely not have paid retail price if I had seen the condition it was in beforehand. So, to any Complete in Box collectors out there, maybe consider taking a look at listings that contain pictures of the actual item instead of listings that just show stock photos. It’s kind of a gamble. For this specific item, ebay has some decently priced listings that I think are ultimately worth the price difference if you’re one to fixate on this kind of thing. The only way I can make sense of the difference in quality is that maybe the Off the Hook set, having just began reprinting this year, is an actual new product made under a year ago and shipped not long after stocking, while the Squid Sisters, which have been constantly restocked for a few years now, must’ve been sitting in some warehouse for a long time and most likely not been handled with the best of cares before getting sold off.

Cute amiibo, I’ll admit I haven’t played splatoon and just had get this as they look cute. Might eventually try the game.

It's definitely worth buying these before the price goes up again. In splat 3 each give you 3 items by playing the game. And in other games like miitopia you get the exact outfit they ware if you scan them. You also get a spirit in smash for each one.

My kid loves the Splatoon games on switch and really likes the characters. This was a Christmas present he was very happy with.

Neat little amiibos. Price is still kinda a deterrent, but a sale can make them worth it. Their in-game effectiveness has been reduced since the first Splatoon, but they're still fairly usable. Good presentation and design.
