I found those more useful (despite the hoops you had to jump through to use them), but these new cards have more charm. There are far too many to collect, but thats what you fet with trading cards, amirite?

However, I do agree, its odd even now, how difficult it is to snag a pack! Maybe supply chain issues? Regardless, I hope Nintendo finds a way to produce more.

There are 48 cards in the series as opposed to 100 like 1-4, and HALF (24) of those cards are holo cards. Previous series had about 17 holo cards. There is only ever one holo card in each pack, so proportionally speaking it’s completely out of whack. You could buy 9 packs of cards and have 54 cards total with intent of trading for ones you don’t have (and have 6 extra), but you will need to buy significantly more packs of cards to get enough holos for a “fair” trade with someone. The holos of characters that have already appeared in 1-4 should not have been included in this pack. If the only holos in the pack were the 9 new characters added to the series, the proportions would have been perfect.
