    You use this to buy games via the Nintendo eshop (online store). It's great to give to people who you don't know what game they want.

    The eshop makes it easier to buy the games online instead of giving cash to the kids. With cash, they can lose it.

    Scratch off the back of the card with a coin, copy the numbers into Nintendo's eShop from the console of your choice, and put that cash towards some good games.

    Nintendo eShop doesn't let you gift games yet, so bought this and gave it to my girlfriend to be able to buy a game. Great alternative.
