Points
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to say about adding points to your account. The cool thing is that if you scratch off the numbers and it becomes unreadable, you can still call Nintendo of America and they will help you by looking up the card # and providing you the correct code to put in so you can still redeem your points. I had to do this and was $h@ting bricks cause I thought I just threw away 20bucks by scratching away the code.

Good for buying downloadable games.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though nothing amazing, it's still good for downloading games on your Wii U and 3DS.

Great for the DLC gamer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the way to go if you're not a fan of inputting your credit card information online, or if you're not old enough to own one. Purchase this card and use it for currency towards download only games for both WiiU and 3DS. Can be used to download all kinds of classic games from Nintendo's virtual console library as well. There's a bunch of downloadable content to purchase for games you may already own too.

Nice method for eShop download purchases
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I just wanted to mention it's nice to see Nintendo add a new $10 denomination to choose from, as before the lowest was $20. And one major benefit is that it avoids having to use a credit card, while one minor drawback is the slight inconvenience of having to scratch off for the code. Plus these are even more useful since Nintendo started allowing the funds be used towards both Wii U and 3DS games.

$10 and fun with photography
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Photos with Mario series of eShop cards takes an everyday eShop card and sneaks in a charming AR addition. For this card, not only does it toss $10 onto your Nintendo account but it adds a Princess Peach AR card to sneak into your 3DS photos. Although it isn't a major upgrade, it keeps Nintendo's spirit of fun well intact and allows for some pretty hysterical character photo bombs.

Going digital
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you own a 3dsl or Wii U nintendo has made a large digital effort. You can make many retail purchases in download form, but I use it for the indie games and virtual console (games from past console generations), which are only available digitally. If you own a 3dsl pick up a sd card. Unlike the vita most 3dsl downloads are relatively small. A 32gb card can hold 20+ retail games and over 50 indie games.

A Good Way to Start when Buying from the eShop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been buying software from the Nintendo eShop for some time now ever since I got my 3DS. The $20 card is a good place to start when doing so, but bear in mind that you won't be buying much with that amount of funds due to most sales not reaching $20 or less. The $50 card is truly where you should be focusing your expenses on. However, with some patience, the $20 card will do you just fine.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Best Buy gift certificate & decided to use it to purchase a Nintendo gift shop card for my daughter bc the item she wanted was not available "in-store" so this way we could utilize the gift certificate and she could get the game she wanted via Wii-U using the Nintendo gift shop card. It was a win-win for us and nice suggestion by the Best Buy store associate!
