People in our family buy these cards mostly to purchase older games from the Nintendo eshop. While it's sort of a round about way to put money in to get what you want, it's how Nintendo set it up, the kids like collecting the cards with the different pics on them, and they make great gifts. Personally I just like the fact Nintendo makes it possible to purchase some of the older games, some of which you really miss when you step up to a newer system.

Love using these cards. ESPECIALLY when Best Buy does a sale for them! That's like getting free money!!! Plus, though they are not discounted, you DO get double points when bought as a GCU member. Can't go wrong!

The Bargain here is if you're putting money into your e-shop, use these gift cards instead of just putting money there, becauses your Best Buy Reward points rack up fast. I think the rewards are worth these cards.

Received gift card on sale at $8.50 for $10 gift card for my son for Christmas! So nice to save money during the holiday for a last minute gift and my son loves the game he found through eshop!

I saw this and thought it was a better way to buy games as a gift for kids. Sometimes they have more than you know and this allows them to download the games they want and don't have. No returns/exchanges necessary.

This is a great gift card. It works as intended and actually credits you for the amount indicated on the packaging! Fantastic with no complaints! You get a fun AR card too. What's not to like?!

The card worked as expected. Just scratch off the gray stuff with a coin and redeem on the 3DS eshop. Used it to pick up Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds. Great game. Reminds me so much of Link to the Past.

With all the great downloadable choices offered on the Nintendo eshop, you'll definitely want to purchase a prepaid card such as this one. Super easy to use and makes downloading games fun and fast!

How can you go wrong with a $50 Nintendo eShop card. It was given for a birthday gift. With this, it allowed them to decide what game or addition to the games (DLC) that they really wanted.

Not much to say considering it's a prepaid card, but I like how Nintendo put out the Photos with Mario cards this way. I buy tons of eshop cash anyway, so it at least gives me something to toy with.

This AR card (short for "augmented reality") lets you see a 3D Goomba when it is viewed with the 3DS' camera. Other than that this is a standard $10 eshop card but the AR card makes for a nice bonus.

Though certainly not as robust as the Wii's virtual console selection at its height, the Wii U and 3DS both offer a satisfying large selection of timeless classics available for both consoles.

Easiest way to download and have games on your system is eshop points. And especially since nintendo tied balances from both the wii u and 3ds eshops you can use one card to purchase games across both systems !

Easy money. My version of self control is making myself get out of the house to buy these instead of tying my card to my eshop account. Works perfectly, came with an AR card, but I dont have a 3DS

Nintendo eShop cards can be redeemed for digital games in the 3DS, Wii U, or Switch eShops. They are great to give as a gift or if you don't have/want to provide a credit card in the eShop.

Is what it is however maybe Nintendo should put something on the card about it. We host a foreign exchange student and he was unable to use the card to get a game that would work in his DS.

The $10 e-shop gift card is great. Small enough to give as a gift but I have never seen one given and not happily received. Many things are available for under $10 so it is not pointless purchase by any means.
