Great way to load up money to purchase eShop games and DLC without using your credit card online.

It used to be that if you bought a Nintendo eShop card, you could only use it on Wii U or 3DS, not both. Once you linked it to one system, it was permanently attached to that system. Now, however, once you link your eShop account to your Nintendo Network ID, you can redeem the card on any 3DS or Wii U that you own, and as long as the eShop on that system is registered to your Nintendo Network ID, the card balance you have will be available on any other 3DS or Wii U that you own. This was a great move by Nintendo - and a recent one, too, since the cards still say in their fine print that you can only use them on one system. The card is easy to redeem, just log into the eShop, touch Add Funds and then Nintendo eShop Card, then type in the code. Be careful revealing it, though. My brother tried to use scissors and nearly scratched the numbers off to unreadability. A coin works fine. Also, you can't use the balance on the DSi or original Wii (including the Wii Shop Channel in the virtual Wii on Wii U).
