    Nintendo needs to fix their joy cons. This is the second one I have had to replace. Luckily you can buy them individually like this

    Aesthetically it was in great condition, but right out of the box it had the well-known problems with joystick drift. Of course, Nintendo fixes that free of charge, and that could make it worth saving the extra money if you have other controllers to use, but I would expect one that I just bought at the store to not have issues.
