This is a pretty great scooter. I'm glad I went a little higher budget, because the comfort (wide handlebars, large platform, cushy tires) and slightly higher maximum speed of the KQi3 Max has made it great for commuting. The only complaint I have is that the face plate gets in the way of Niu's own phone holder.

This is a beautiful and fun scooter! I ride to and from work with ease and have reached 24mph like it says. Im 180 pounds so range was a bit less but it still goes for quite awhile before needing a recharge. Great scooter and you won’t regret this purchase!

    DONT BUY

If you purchase a Nui Way KQi3 Max scooter…please go into the settings via the app and untick cruise control if it is ticked. This is a VERY DANGEROUS feature as it sets the speed itself...every 7-5 seconds if going the same speed. The user really has no idea when the cruise control will set and because of this, I had a VERY AWFUL incident take place about two month after buying it. I was coming up to an intersection and the light was red, there were cars going through the intersection. I prepared to slow or brake with my fingers on the brake controls. Right as I let off the accelerator the cruise control kicked in. The scooter suddenly accelerated, my fingers clamped down on the both brake levers as the inertia of the acceleration sent my body backwards. As a result, the scooter tires locked up, the scooter handlebars slammed straight down into the concrete, I was thrown 15 feet over the handlebars into the intersection, landing flat on my back. I could not believe what just happened. I hurried back to the scooter to drag it out of traffic and onto the sidewalk. I looked it up and down in total shock, disgust, and disbelief at what just happened. The handlebars slammed so hard into the concrete that the plastic brake levers were cracked and missing small pieces of plastic. One of the brake levers no longer faced forward, but was facing straight at the ground!!!.. because of the insane impact it had with the ground. (this was an easy fix with an allen wrench). Not so long after that a friend had noticed the back tire was low. I took the scooter to put air in the tire, but the air would all seep out quickly. I take it home and take a closer look and find that the seal and the bottom of the valve stem is torn. There is a large enough tare that all the air quickly seeps out. Well I had just bought the scooter so I planned to Use the warranty. This HAS ALSO BEEN AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE. First off ...the website tells you plenty about the warranty but from what I could tell…there is no link on the site to START a warranty claim. I had to actually call a representative of the company in which he gave me a specific website address and instructions on how to get the claim going. Answering all the questions and uploading all the requested pictures. 4 days later I get an email stating that my issues IS COVERED under warranty. During the process you are asked whether you want to ship the scooter in or have the parts sent to you for self repair. I elected to have the parts sent to me. I figured for sure they would send a new back wheel with hub or at least custom patches No. Two weeks later I was sent a new valve stem. LOLLOL. How is that going to fix the big tear in the material that seals the valve? I was sure to follow their warranty instructions to the tee. Within the emails from the actual repair shop is an email address you have to use to address any issues. Fine, but after emailing this separate office, it was clear they didn’t know anything about my claim and I was urged to start ANOTHER claim. So I did that but this time I elected to ship it to them so they could do the repair. Several days later I received an email saying that upon further inspection of the scooter my warranty was DENIED and I would have to pay $211 to have it repaired!! I again replied to the email inside the email and again the people at this completely different office knew nothing of my claim and what was wrong with it. In other words you never get to communicate with the actual people working and charging the owner for the repair!!! The whole thing has been awful. I figured when they inspected the scooter and noticed the damage from the cruise control incident…. they figured I was a teenagger joyriding and beating on the scooter when in fact I am a 46 year old adult who does nothing of the sort and the damage that the scooter has on it is from one incident caused by the cruise control setting. I tried explaining this to the office that does not repair or work on them..lol I was urged again to start another claim and received instruction on how to do so..lol what a joke. I have paid what they asked so my scooter doesn't just sit there. I'm hoping someone from the company will see this and take proper action. I haven't got my scooter back and am wondering if I'm gonna get to ride it this summer. LOL. IN SUMMARY DONT BUY WITH NUI WAY.

Well I got one season out of this scooter- my advice is never take it off the side walk. Not meant for any terrain that could be rough on tires. I get that flats happen but I. Order to repair the flat on this scooter I either need to have electrical mechanical skills or pay about $200 for shipping. I wish I had gone with a scooter company with shops located in Portland.

    DO NOT BUY. NO WARRANTY

NIU scooters do NOT have a warranty. Only the scooters they sell on amazon.com and their own website have warranties. The scooters they sell on Best Buy and other places do NOT have warranties. I bought two scooters from them and both broke within a few days. I noticed they are selling used scooters as new because the ones that I bought looked used and one of them had the tires repaired and patched up. I guess someone else had used it before and popped the tires. They do not get the advertised range or speed. The app will start screaming with a ton of warnings and fault codes. I had over 100 fault codes a day. Fault codes are when something goes wrong with the scooter and requires repair. The app kept saying take the scooter to a NIU location for repairs. I contacted the company and they said they don't care because I didn't buy it from them or amazon.com Now I'm stuck with two broken scooters because I didn't buy from a certain website. What a joke. Crappy company and crap quality products. They don't make good scooters and their customer service is the worst. I would rate this company and their products a zero in every category. Buy from anyone else and you'll probably be better off.
