What a bummer to give to my son on Christmas morning! My son opened his gift Christmas morning and was so excited to see what he had gotten. We opened the box and followed the installation guide - got to step 03 "confirm that the device will power on and off after assembly" nothing happened when I pressed the button. My stomach dropped but tried to stay positive for my son and went ahead and attached the four screws for the handlebar assembly and went ahead and charged it until the light turned green on the charger. Tried to turn it on and in fact got a sore thumb from trying to press so hard on the darn button. Still no luck so I unscrewed the 4 screws and unplugged the wire and plugged it back in and the screen turned on! I was able to download the app (yikes 2.7 out of 5 stars, should have checked this before buying!) had no problems connecting the app to the scooter and even downloading the latest firmware - thought I was in luck. decided to take it once around the block to make sure everything was ok, it was great and everything I hoped it would be. when I got back to the house I wanted to turn the light on which you do with 2 presses of the button - didn't work, button wasn't working at all. Unscrewed the 4 screws unplugged wire and plugged in again and scooter hasn't turned on since, screen is blank. The weird thing is phone was still connected to the scooter through he app and I was able to lock and unlock scooter and it let out a beep but no sign of life on the screen. Day after Christmas tried calling niu for help at 1-888-241-0666, it just rang and got sick of waiting and don't want to deal with he headache of working with them over the phone so going to return it Best Buy. Thank goodness I bought through them so I have a generous return window (until Jan 14th) to return Christmas purchases. Anyways, extremely disappointed and sad that I didn't open it and assemble before Christmas so my son wouldn't have been disappointed, luckily I have a sweet boy and he still enjoyed his Christmas and knows it's not about the things we get. NIU brand will be one of those things we will never get again.

I did my research on scooters before purchasing a NIU. There were lots of good reviews which is why I am writing this one. The scooter appears to have some defect within the rear wheel assembly as it has fallen off twice, most recently while riding it causing me to crash. I reached out to customer servicevfor assistance. They sent a link to complete a repair request online. The link didnt work and it took several emails and another week to get the correct link. It has been over 3 weeks since i completed tge service request and i have still not heard back from anyone! I have emailed 5 times with no response. They have a phone number, which i have called numerous times and ALWAYS receive a recording saying the line is busy, try later. I paid almost $600 for this scooter and cannot get anyone to respond to a customer service request.

You should invest even if you dont need it for communiting! A must for hanging out with friends and family!

Love this scooter just wish it had suspension and that the handles collapsed. But 100% satisfied.

This is my second e scooter. First was a Razor e300. The NIU KQi3 Pro is like a luxury vehicle. Smooth, plenty fast enough, and an all around great purchase.

Its a breeze. It rides up to 20mph without issue. Folds up nicely and charges fine without issue.

It’s very useful if all places allow to bring scooter in. Some stores are not allowed even tho fold the scooter and carry it. I got Rose Gold couple month ago and this is second scooter. Somehow the way ride scooter feels different. This black one is way stable than Rose gold one. Both same KQi3. Also if there is no NIU store around your area it’s hard to replace or fix the scooter.

This scooter was amazing. It has a power and easy to operate. The price was decent and will recommend to friends.
