Did plenty of research before purchasing to find this is the best scooter under $1000. Confirmed it is awesome after a few days on the two I purchased.

    Best First Electric Scooter!

-I weight 240 lbs and I got 15 miles from full battery by turning off break assist off and custom 15mph limit. --This scooter can do 20mph but max speed will decrease as the battery drains. At 60% of battery max speed is 18mph and at 20% max speed is 12. HOWEVER, custom limit to 15mph in the app results in a consistant 15mph until 15% of power then it will drop to 14mph. ---This scooter is known for the best hill climber at this price range and THAT IS TRUE. However i wouldnt recommend it for hill like citys like san fran, just for intense hills here and there. ---- headlight is amazing, an absolute must that should be included in ever electric scooter. Standing room, back foot placement, and folding perfection. ----- weight at 45 lbs is hard to carry for a long period of time and push to start may be difficult for people who are light weight or not muscular. ------ I bought this scooter on sale for $140 off on a bestbuy sale, absolutely a steal! Its awesome that im literally the only one around that has a powerhouse as a scooter. If you want more battery life, take a look a Niu Qki3 MAX.

This scooter is great... when it works! I rode this scooter ~5 miles/day on well maintained sidewalks/roads. It has had issues twice that have required me to contact NIU to have it fixed under warranty. In both cases, they have sent me instructions to send it back that involve violating legal and regulatory guidelines around shipping hazardous materials (like lithium batteries). Avoid this product; avoid this company.

After 6-7 months of short daily riding to class from apartment the scooter can no longer make it up our slight incline hill home. We have an email to warranty but have not heard back, Will update review if they are helpful.

I bought this 6 weeks ago and there is a charging issue. This item can not be returned at the store and now I have to deal with the manufacture - ship it out and wait for who knows how long. Best Buy made the sale and washed their hands of all responsibility - should've just bought it on Amazon - so much for walking into a store and getting customer service.

I bought one of their scooters for my daughter for Christmas and we were unable to bind it to the app (which is required for it be usable). We emailed customer service and we have sent a follow up every few days since. Three weeks later, not one response. Not even a confirmation of receipt. I’ve never dealt with a company this irresponsible before. Avoid them at all costs.

After only a month error 3 is showing on the display and it stopped working. Highly disappointed as this was purchased as a birthday gift for my son. It's not a cheap scooter and now he has no means of getting around. We were happy with the purchase, but no longer after this. Chose Niu for its reputation, but now I am not at all satisfied. Would like a response and solution from Niu.

The fact that customers only have 15 days to return something they paid $900 forbis insane. Also, I had my laptop hacked by the employees who work there (geeksqauad)when i was getting my laptop that i paid a fortune for serviced. I regret both purchases. There you have it, my honest review. Lets see if i win the giftcard for Being honest...

KQi3 Pro is good to go!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I live two miles away from my work. While I still believe that it is essential to own a car in California, driving two miles each way, every day, and then struggling to find a parking space in over-crowded San Diego after work is not what I consider fun. I tried biking to work, but health reasons prompted me to look at yet another alternative form of transportation. I originally ordered a KQi2 Pro, but looking at the specs, and the pricing at the time (during the holidays), I decided that the additional $100 or so for the more powerful KQi3 Pro was worth it. I received my KQi3 Pro on December 29th, and was immediately impressed by the robust feeling and appearance of its build quiality. Just touching the scooter gives you the confidence of a very well built machine. The scooter charged and then powered up with no issues. The Niu 'app also connected to the scooter with no issues as well. Once my KQi3 Pro was fully charged, I took the scooter for a spin and was immediately impressed. I was able to sustain a top speed of 21 mph under the customized performance section of the Niu app. The triple braking system, that consists of front and rear disc brakes, as well as a regenerative electronic rear brake guarantee that this scooter will stop very quickly. So quickly, in fact, that if you are not careful with the braking force that you apply, you could end up flying over the handlebars. The pneumatic, air filled tires absorb road imperfections very well. True, there is no mechanical suspension system, but for this category of scooter, under $1,000, you will not find another scooter with the amount of build quality and performance WITH a suspension system. I have heard a lot of negative feedback about this scooter, such as the rear tire being very difficult to replace, if you have to due to a flat tire. Also, spare parts are scarce or are impossible to find. Finally, customer service seems to be lacking, in that the two year warranty that Niu keeps bragging about seems to be ineffectual, in that they are not very helpful with warranty based issues. If you are in the market for one of these scooters, you may want to consider the aforementioned issues. After all, these machines cost hundreds of dollars, and being stuck with a giant paperweight is not an attractive idea. Nevertheless, my KQi3 Pro is a blast to ride and use, and I do not regret anything about buying it. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a robust, fast, safe, and easy to use scooter for alternative transportation from an automobile.

Perfect! Bought for 15 years old birthday present. Needed something for him to get to school and work. Battery lasts as long as it says. Easy to use their app. Easy to get used to riding. Comfortable ride. Typical city streets, occasional bumps and the tires take it! Solid equipment. Best buy for the money in my opinion. I researched e bikes long and hard before settling on this. Worth the money. Everything i wanted as far as tires, breaks, ride, lights, app, cruise control. Love the halo headlight. Great features. Just wish it had turn signals.

Only used the scooter a few times. Keep getting a error code 03. Looked it up and did what it said. Still getting the code. Looked up that scooter and found out that this is a reoccurring issue with this brand and model.

After ten drives, there is grinding noise from front wheel. If this had happened at beginning, I would have thought the brakes were too tight. Now, I think there're cracks or deformations of front wheel.
