I wanted to like it, I really did. I just purchased a new Win8 computer and figured I would upgrade my phone to the Lumia 920 in the spirit of homogeneity. Let me tell you that doing so was a HORRIBLE idea - where to start. Weight - this brick, I mean phone, tips the scales at a cool 185 grams, compared to the 133 gram Galaxy S3 or 140 gram iPhone 4S. When asked why it weighed so much, the salesman told me it was because the phone is made from the same composite as is astronaut helmets. Nice - I can now sleep better knowing that if the Mayans are right, at least my Lumia 920 is prepared for its journey through the cosmos. To all my skinny jean wearing hipsters, you and this phone simply cannot be – the sheer size and mass of it make it a nightmare to carry in regular sized pants, I can’t even imagine the kind of dances you’ll do to get the Lumia in and out of your jeggings pockets. This brick could be a safety hazard if one of these crazy youths tries to rob me on his way to Hot Topic, though my Lumia could possibly double as a shield, or even a weapon if I decided to shotput at my assailant. Onto the UI – wow, anyone who says the apps are incredible must be kidding. Moving past the fact that google refuses to create apps for the Win8 OS, none of the apps that are built for this phone are designed by their actual developers. Facebook is a Microsoft app, Whatsapp doesn’t even exist, the Pandora app is a blog about the music on Pandora – sweet, nothing satiates my hunger for The Jonas Brothers or Biggie Smalls like the words of Joe and Jane Smith as they opine on hottest 1950’s Christmas album. What few games they do have, i.e. angry birds, looks like they have been shrunk down from a tv screen onto my phone. The aspect ratio is atrocious, not to mention that for me to download anything, I have to use my Hotmail account that I opened and retired when I was in fifth grade – which may be a real selling point for the hipsters as eclectic/old school schwag is all the rage these days. As per the screen size … the phone may be huge but a good portion of it is cannibalized by the bezel , again probably some brilliant innovation necessary to make the phone more functional as I use it to fend off attacks but not when I want to compose documents in MS office, which is a function I will NEVER use on my phone. But our friends at Nokia were smart enough to include a wireless charger, this was a HUGE plus, I find that plugging my phone into the wall while I sleep at night is cumbersome AND tedious. Corded phones chargers are so 2010 – what are we still using the rotary phones here? Think of all the extra things I can do now that I don’t have to plug my brick into the wall! At about 6 hours of battery life, I know that whatever charging device I get is going to get plenty of love. So that’s it, this phone is horrible. Anyone who says otherwise is either crazy, or is finally making the upgrade from their Razor flip phone. Keep up the good work Nokia, you’ve successfully kept old school by giving us those features we expected in 2005.

I switched from the iPhone 5 and have not regretted it for one minute. I love how with Windows Phone all of your information is right there in your live tiles. Was so sick of having to open an app to find anything at all. The camera on this is amazing! People comment all the time on pictures taken with it and dont believe I used my phone.

Phone was decent for a few weeks, but after 2 or 3 full charges, the battery dies out and can barely last a few hours, even if you shut off the live tiles. Ended up returning and going with iphone 5 for my wife's phone. Overall, not a fan of the phone. Good design, but a bad final product. Fix the battery! Also the apps are limited and couldn't find several that are often used.

I have used all Of the Phone operating systems possible. By far the best experience i have had with getting things done and having a phone that works is the lumia 920. I have been a huge critic in the past of microsoft but i gave them another chance and i have to say they did a amazing job. So if you are looking for a phone that is awesome!!! this is the phone you need.

I just switched from the iphone world after many years and I like what I'm seeing so far. Build quality and interface are very good. Only draw back is that the phone lacks some of the apps I'm used to.

It's a really good phone, well made and with windows phone 8 as OS I am really impress. I switch from my android to WP.

The device is just brilliant. very stylish and excellent performance. BUT it has no support for AlphaNumeric pass-code (on the devices lock screen). Could not configure my work exchange/email on this device as it enforces the device to have an alpha-numeric password with a special char. But Windows 8 on phones supports only 4 digit pins. If thats not a concern to you, then this device is an amazing one.

My wife and I "upgraded" from iPhone 4S to this phone. We really were excited because of all of the positive reviews, but it has been a big disappointment. The camera is nice and it is built well, but that is about it. Windows Phone 8 seriously sucks. All of the apps that i was used to on the iPhone were either not available, or they were available but just weren't the same. The phone itself is huge, especially if you decide to get a good case. The battery died pretty quickly, but the really lame part about that was that it took forever to charge compared to the iPhone. I really wanted to like this phone, but the negatives just became too much.

Great camera and good to use it .Would like to prefer my friends

I really liked the quality and feel of the phone. For those who complaint about the weight it feels much better than the Iphone 5 (in my opinion). Out of the box the phone is missing some headphones. The operation system (windows 8) looks simplistic and lacks tons of apps.They brag about the tiles but you can only sent them 1 color for all. Me I like to have a background picture and some tiles (apps) on top. The apps are of really low quality, hoping that soon more and better apps will be added. Really liked the nokia apps, navigation and the radio system. Like the phone just not the OS and lack of apps, returned it for an Iphone 5, previously had the Iphone 4 so it was to big of a change for me. Maybe in the future windows will develop a better system.

I returned it, and went back to my iPhone. Constant scrolling, and the inability to create folders for the apps was a big turn off. It is a quality device though.
